did anyone see batman gotham knight? he did train in india for a short moment of time where he meditated alot with that indian chick.
maybe that's the reason why they shoot in india first
 
Incidentally, hotels in Jaipur and Jodhpur have been booked for the crew. Says a source, "Nolan had scouted locations in both Jodhpur and Jaipur. But, he fell in love with Jodhpur and decided to return to film here. They are coming with a very small unit of around 15 people and will be shooting here for two days. There are no Bollywood actors being cast in the movie. But, local actors and crew members might be roped in. The unit wants to use the beautiful fort as the background for the movie. However, nothing is known yet whether Jodhpur will feature as an Indian city in the movie or not."

You can't cast someone, more handsome than Batman. In a Batman film.

That's Mehrangarh Fort. I was there a few weeks ago. It is indeed awesome, but it's smack-dab in the middle of the city, and any white person in that place has a giant bullseye on his chest, but with a dollar sign replacing the center circle.

If Bruce doesn't get accosted by a dozen Indian dudes saying "Rickshaw, sir?" and "Where you from? Gotham, oh beautiful city, my cousin lives there" within the first minute, all realism is completely out the window.

This will probably be about as accurate a representation of India as Octopussy was.

As much as it hurts me to admit this since Bollywood sucks, I am a sucker for Shahrukh Khan movies. Maybe something about him being so prominent and big during my childhood. But what movie are you talking about? I thought I had seen all his stuff but whats this pink shirt car lifting movie?

Something tells me it won't literally be used as Mehrangarh Fort. Wouldn't be surprised if it isn't even in India. This is how filmmaking works.

Yeah, I know. Was joking. It is an awesome-looking location, and just obscure enough that it can stand in for some random location in any desert region in the world.
 
Crossing my fingers praying and hoping that Nolan's ability to film fight scenes comes to a nice peak in this film ... as a buff bale vs. yoked out hardy could/SHOULD be suitably epic.

really looking forward to seeing a dark evil genius version of bane in an armani suit break kill some low level thugs or cops. If they come anywhere close to the magic they captured on film with Ledger here with Hardy... oohh.. i'm giddy.

Here's a few details about TDKR's shooting schedule from a very solid, longtime source...

* The shoot in India is a short one.

* Filming in Pittsburgh is only going to last about 3 weeks.

* Back overseas for a shoot in the UK and then probably headed to NYC.

* Most of the filming looks to be taking place in LA -- studio/soundstage work he assumes.

Also, another longtime FOBOF ("Friend of Batman on Film") tells me that the film's official synopsis could be coming soon. And since so many of you have asked via email, I have heard nothing about a viral campaign for THE DARK KNIGHT RISES. Of course, that doesn't mean there will not be one.

Link? I've been looking forward to this for a long time and have only ever expressed worries about the increasing cast list as I wanted a Bruce-centric story which I still think could well happen.

Don't know why you would want to bring up Cameron in a Batman 3 thread though. Don't know where you would expect conversation to go from there. Either you're shitting up the thread or you want to discuss the possibility of a Cameron-helmed Batman.

It should happen still. I mean, Batman Begins had Liam Neeson, Rutger Hauer, Ken Watanabe, Cillian Murphy, Tom Wilkinson, and the dude from Law & Order...and it was still Bruce-centric!

Its the difference between seeming drunk in order to get guests out of his mansion and seeming like he's just finished shooting up in the chopper with his 3 lady friends before giving a ridiculous thumbs up to Dent.
 
The gauntness just helps Batman hide in plain sight. I'm sure if he got jacked like the Rock, somebody might clue in.

Same shit works for Clark Kent, you know.
