I doubt Phil will still be in his current role by the time TESVI comes out in 2024 or whatever. Very few execs last that long in such thin-air positions.
What the hell does that even mean.“It’s not about punishing any other platform, like I fundamentally believe all of the platforms can continue to grow,” Spencer told GQ. “But in order to be on Xbox, I want us to be able to bring the full complete package of what we have. And that would be true when I think about Elder Scrolls VI. That would be true when I think about any of our franchises.”
It wasn't first party then, it is now. They are funding development of the game, let's see what happens with Sunset Overdrive 2 and if people still feel the same then.
I'm fully aware. I was explaining the difference between a series that has always been exclusive (GoW, Horizon, Halo, Forza, whatever) to one that used to be multiplatform but is now being taken away from half the player base.
Sure, Sunset Overdrive 2 would be kind of similar if it ever happens (I doubt it), but that was never multiplatform either. It went from exclusive to one platform to being owned by their competitor. Like Banjo or any other Rare IP when MS bought them.
