The 360 controller is way better anyway![]()

Just check the groundtextures at 0.26 min.

Well Bethesda did say they were going to fix the texture loading problem, I have not heard them say anything about fixing the ps3 problems.FINALBOSS said:Will you stop fucking trolling?

Man, GAF needs to take a chill pill these days.
Good to hear. Still not really noticing much with it installed personally, but I've seen a few things that have really jumped out.SRTtoZ said:"Skyrim uses a lot of dynamic streaming systems, including textures. We've seen a few reports of certain textures temporarily scaling down on the Xbox 360, and not scaling back up. We have verified that this issue does not occur when playing off the disk and when the game is fully cached (not installed). Skyrim makes heavy use of the Xbox 360 caching system, and caches over the normal course of play while in menus or interiors. This cache can be wiped when other games are played or when the user manually removes it. We're working on a solution in the next title update for those who have installed the game."
True, but I'm wondering how the QA team didn't notice and/or address this issue before today. But whatever, it's a Bethesda game and we should all have expected some bugs. It's certainly not going to stop me from playing all weekend.Fjordson said:Good to hear. Much better to hear that than "Uh, what problem? It looks the same to us".
I think that pretty much confirmed now,I wonder why is that?cjtiger300 said:Other than the openings sequene, the PS3 version runs great!

Not sure, you might want to post this in the PC performance thread.DoctorZ said:Any way to get vibration with a 360 controller? settings have vibration, but I thought 360 pad for PC didn't suport vibration.
Sounds about right. Oblivion caused my 360 (two different units) to crash more than any other game ever. Just like old times!Lionheart1827 said:Ugh, got a freeze in the intro sequence following the guard with the sword. Had to restart from right after character creation. 360 version. Off to a good start!

BeeDog said:Might be wrong, but from a quick glance it looks like the PS3 version has V-sync enabled and thus drops frames more often. The 360 version seems to be the only one tearing in that video.
Can you turn off auto save from the beginning?cjtiger300 said:Other than the openings sequene, the PS3 version runs great!

My guess is they worked on that last and it wasn't optimized as much as the open world is. Just a guess. Honestly, they game looks and runs pretty damn good. It's by far the best running Bethesda game on PS3.Loudninja said:I think that pretty mcuh confirmed now,I wonder why is that?

Depends...the game requires 3.8GB and I don't know about most drives but my Sandisk 4GB only has something like 3.74GB available. Go with 8GB to be sure.Fermbiz said:I'm most likely getting the PS3 version but I have a question. Can I install the game on a 4 gig usb FD if I were to get the 360 version?
It's only bad when stuff is going on. But if you don't like tearing it will piss you off. I'm trading mine in for the PS3 version tomorrow. (never thought I'd be saying that) game is miles ahead of oblivion though looks awesome.bender said:360 players, how bad is the screen tearing?

Lionheart1827 said:So I just got my 360 version. I've been reading here that install or no install the texture problem will show up, so I guess I might as well install to the HDD?(primarily for faster loading)
