The Final Act: The Shield Season 7 Official Topic

It was still a good ep. Maybe more setup of the end game than anything. "Twist" at the end is killer, literally and figuratively.

That's what I'm thinking too. All the eye contacts from Ronnie makes me think Ronnie may be the one who caps Shane. Also, holy shit at Cassidy!
Asking Dani about Vic killing Teri? She's starting to become a curious beaver. I wonder how that's going to play out?

Finally. This wasn't an action packed episode, but god damn if it wasn't great. The twists and turns throughout were The Shield at it's best. As I expected, this season started off slow (excellent, but slow)for a reason. And the ending was a huge shock. It's criminal that more people aren't watching this show.

Chicklis wife must be tall or something, how is she getting like this....unless...

Is she a baseball prospect?

great episode despite too much of the amazonian daughter.

I didn't really feel that way this time. That was a much needed scene with Dani, and it was an effective reminder of how no matter how hard Vic tries to do the right thing and take care of his family, his mistakes have piled up too high at this point.

Decent setup episode with a holy shit ending.

I honestly didn't see this twist coming...but now that I think about the previous epsiodes it is starting to make more sense. Can't wait to see where this goes from here!

Great episode and a crazy setup.

I also liked this episode's Dutch angle. The supposed eventual start of a serial killer...I know this is the last season so it's too late to continue on that storyline, but it would've been great if we saw in a later episode another murder that that kid commits and Dutch investigates.

Anyway, I always liked the indirect parallels between Dutch and Vic in terms of how they handle situations. Hmmm, that also reminds me of the time Vic kinda convinced Dutch to plant an evidence and he stopped himself at the last second (can't remember what season that was)...Excellent show!!!

I'm betting something happens. This show hasn't been known to totally drop plot threads, like this kid, and have no payoff. If it's not wrapped up in the same show, it'll have something else come up later. Gilroy, The City Controller this episode, Guardo, Money Train, The Cuddler, Kleavon Gardner, etc. etc.

One of my favorite parts of the show, is call backs to previous seasons, without the feeling that they are "Call backs to previous season"

From TVGuide:

Vic and Ronnie set up a Mexican-Armenian meeting but tell the two sides different things and keep some pertinent details from Shane; Shane and former Strike Team adversary Tavon Garris (Brian White) team up uneasily as a six-year-old murder case heats up; Ronnie gets a warning from Claudette about Vic's freelancing; and a naked sleepwalker (Scott Michael Campbell) is found in a warehouse with blood on his body that isn't his own.

Spoiler tag that shit!!

I'm about to spoiler tag stuff from Ep. 4 for christsake..

so what has Vic told Olivia? The worst thing I think is telling her about Aranboles.. (sp?)

its not the storylines that bother me, its that they are ruined because the actors that play the wife and daughter are terrible. I don't feel any sympathy for Vic's wife because of it i just want him to shoot her in the face. Its no suprise that they cast Chiklis' real life daughter and Shawn Ryan's real life wife in those roles. Nepitism gone wrong.

:lol

Anyway, I thought the last episode was pretty great. The ending particular just creates a massive shitstorm. God, this show is so awesome.

My FX channel has been fucked up for a few hours.

I've only been able to hear music and sound effects during the movies, no dialogue or regular sound effects at all.

I hope I can watch the show fine.

Ok that was awesome.

The first real Strike Team gamesmanship of the season. Playing Rezian was close but this rocked.

These guys are best when their running con games and playing everyone like puppets.

Well what do you know...Not only did they go back to it but they brought back Kleavon :D They executed it wonderfully. I'm really liking Dutch this season!

Next episode looks killer...
And if the preview isn't misleading (which it always is)...:o Shane...I'll actually feel sorry for him if Vic is gonna get him whacked somehow...Maybe not next episode but I have a feeling it's coming

That would be fucking awesome if Tavon came back

Goddammit, the universe is conspiring against me. I lost audio at the final scene with
Vic and the FBI lady
... what did they say?

He is coming back.

Anyway, something is going to happen that involves Ronnie, and from what I hear,
episode 8 is going to fuck everyone over
, and damn at Danni and Vic. He got physical with her.

Oh and Dutch. LOL. I have a baaaaaaaad feeling about what he might do.

Did you get that from a review or just a guess?

Dutch is going to leave dead kittens at that boy's house, get him framed!!!

But really, I have a bad feeling about this situation. Dutch might get hurt or worse, either from the kid doing something...or that Mom. She's weird'ing me out...like maybe she's involved in this murder thing as well...

I was thrilled to see some conclusion to Kleavon. Dude pisses me off to know end. How the fuck did he get that bottle of pills, and hold onto them. Like he could use stolen evidence in this manner. That would get thrown out in court.

But interesting way to bring the Lupus to everyone's attention. Maybe not straight out into the open, but now her bosses have a fragment of doubt about her (on top of the regular doubt of anyone in charge of The Barn). They'll look into her.

So, beyond the Strike Team, I can see Frame Work for some of the characters final plot lines. Whymes losing the job because of the Lupus coverup, Dutch getting over his head with this Kid, Danni getting in some confrontation with Vic over the kid is starting to boil. Cassidey....

Not a review. I posted a snippet from one of the episodes that involves Tavon and Shane working together on an old case. There is a picture I posted of the two confronting each other like they're about to throw down.

He got it from the garbage, which is not stolen and actually could be used in court with no issue.
The creepier part is that someone knows where she lives for him to have gotten it.

I also agree about the mother.

The mom knows more than she is letting on. I wouldn't go as far as to say she is an accomplice but I'm sure she knows something or saw him doing something and is repressing those feelings. Dutch should get her to crack to figure out what is going on.

That is interesting. Can't wait then.

It seemed like it was implied he had gotten it before he was arrested.

How could he have? Claudette didn't appear really, obviously sick until the last interrogation, when he was arrested. Also, the bottle had refills according to Kleavon. Why would Claudette have thrown it out? I think this is just a smidge of sloppy writing.

Claudette's sickness was already happening before the bloody nose incident, by a long while. Meaning he was just digging threw her garbage before that final confrontation as he confessed. He had killed a lady and cut her hair to look like her. It ups the creepy factor, that he's snooping around her house before he's finally arrested...

Because I don't know how he'd have the resources to get that kind of information from in jail, if he's acting as his own lawyer...

Course, he constantly mentions his special lady out there....

...hmm, trouble might not be over for Whymes. A Manson Family situation????

I'm watching the season 5 episodes backwards and I am down to 5: So far Claudette is only sick in the episode where Kleavon gets arrested. I unfortunately do not have enough time to go through the rest now, due to work. Even if she does, the point still stands: why would she throw away refills for a chronic condition?

Actually, he's apparently only in a small handful of episodes. The only other one to check out is in S4.
