My GOTY is Witcher 3, shoutout to Until Dawn, expected to like it, but not as much, fantastic game and something fresh among the open world bloat.

Expecting MGSV because Kojima tbh.

Most anticipated is a toss up between Uncharted 4 and Horizon, I'd say Uncharted - it's closer and definitely releasing in 2016. Could see Horizon delayed if need be.

However, Fallout 4 is getting up there the more I play it.

Mario Maker is fun, but I wouldn't call it a GOTY candidate. Splatoon definitely should've been the Nintendo rep, and I know these sort of things undersell Indie games but Undertale and Rocket League are deserving of being up there too.

This. It IS the best game of the year, but it's an exclusive that is still niche compared to the rest and as such, like Bayo 2 last year, it probably won't win. But at least it's nominated.

And I'm glad they recognize games like Downwell and Her Story. Not bad at all.

Art direction seems weird. MGSV, Batman and to some extent Witcher doesn't really strike me as games with special art directions. There are a lot of other games more deserving of nominations in that category. Seems stupid to give nominations to big stuff with realistic look when there are so many other games releasing with unique art styles

Considering the performance issues of Fallout and Witcher, I'm not sure about the nominations of developer of the year.

And to be pedantic, Is Ori and the Blind Forest really independent?
