Hmmm, thing is about Alex... he can say a joke and just silence the entire room. He can blow out the fuse on GiantBomb with his jokes. It almost seem vicious at times how they don't even give him a courteous chuckle(I bet Ryan hates his guts, just a feeling).

I remember thinking that Alex would be hired by GiantBomb before he went to Harmonix and being disappointed that they hired Brad instead. I'm glad I was off base.

I was confused when they hired Vinny because I didn't remember him being awesome in Gamespot. Now I was wrong there!

I had no idea who Vinny was until GB, now he's probably my favourite gaming personality. I love his one liners on the Bombcast and what he does on the live feeds.

He hosted The Hotspot for a while and was a guest before that, but I guess he just never made that much of an impact on me. I did like him, but out of all the Gamespot people he seemed like an odd choice.

Now I realise, of course, he is a God.

There is no such thing as too much Vinny.

Edit: Didn't know Vinny did the HotSpot. It makes sense why I wasn't familiar with him as I never listened to that podcast.

Patrick gets annoying very quickly. After the first minute, I usually have to turn it off. He normally starts off kind of quiet letting the other person get a word in, but then the doesnt quit talking. Ryan will do the same thing at times, but he is funny and Patrick isnt imo. Patricks written work is pretty solid though.

He's featured quite a bit in the "This Year" recap episodes of The Hotspot. Well worth a listen as it really was Giant Bombcast 1.0, really. Still a wonderful listen all these years later.

Ryan sounds SO young in them. You'll also get an idea why Giant Bomb fans love Rich Gallup, Greg Kasavin, Carrie Gouskos, etc etc.

What most people don't know is that Vinny is also a loving and caring mother.

Why does Klepeck keep asking "Why?" during this Quick Look. You could say that for any game. Why not? It looks fun. Go away and troll juke boxes you hipster. Stop ruining Giant Bomb.

So I watched the QL and he only said that a couple of times in the first few minutes of the QL, I was expecting him to be saying it every two seconds or something.

Where does the picture come from?

I actually asked about it in the other GB thread and someone linked me here.

Also, watching this quick look is kinda maddening, lol

EDIT
Oh god he slashes the crates he needs for the tenth time and then says they must be missing something "super obvious." Eeeerggghh

As a 20 year old, I know lots of "gamers" my age and below who have never played Ocarina. The remake has been getting some buzz on my Facebook feed for that reason.

Not everyone spent 6 months slogging through it at age 7 like I did :P

Yeah, they did. Even guys who are dudebros now did when we were kids. I remember I mentioned the word "Volvagia" to a friend and no less than three girls next to us knew what we were talking about. It was a phenom and what every kid wanted Christmas 1998.

Lots of people did, yes, but I was just saying Vinny is right that there are lots of people who haven't.
Sure. I just get touchy when older people are doubtful that younger people experienced a given thing, especially since OoT was very much OUR game.
