How would complaining be constructive in that situation?

And, if it's not intended to be constructive and it's just people expressing their opinion about how Brad sucks at games (read, pointless blather) then it should be fine for him express his opinion about how irritating said opinions are (read, more pointless blather).
I don't know if you quoted the wrong person, but I didn't say the posts were constructive at all, nor did I say Brad is wrong to comment on them.

No, it was when he's complaining that his inputs weren't registering correctly period and Jeff called him out on pausing and still failing.

"What? That was as down forward down forward block as you can get" -- JEFF after failing his Stryker fatality.

Yeah, both had some problems with inputs in that QL. No need to get all anti-brad over it.
I mean fair enough, rage all you like when he forgets a main gameplay mechanic (like the grip in SotC) but when his complaints are kinda legit (also the whole pause thing blocking inputs for a bit after it) there really is no need to whine.

Yes, inevitable like uppity Internet jerks scouring for their next witch hunt. I suppose you'll post an even-handed addendum when you realize the same thing happened to Jeff at the end of the video, and that plenty of other people are having the same problem? Sometimes the game is just fucked up.

I apologise for making the statement before watching the video myself, in this case it could easily have been the game. However I'd have never made the statement if you didn't consistently do it, you just have a tenancy to get frustrated and whine about games when you mess up or are unsure what to do in them.

I thought you were implying something different. My mistake.

Game looks pretty good. Not really getting a Castlevania vibe to it though.

I guess if people mean the old linear progression ones it is

If they mean modern IGAvania I believe it was confirmed it isn't like that.

Prepurchased this awhile ago on PSNplay. Looking forward to this tuesday

Word Fighter looks okay from the QL, though I'm not sure I could play it regularly. I didn't even watch Bodycount because it looks dead average.

The music in Bloodrayne seems to be awesome. So much wonderful double bass! :)

i'm unable to watch the bloodrayne ql at the moment. any mention of the difficulty. i have heard it is brutally difficult.

Nothing, but brutally difficult is good in my book.

It's unfortunately, well below average.

Painful to watch even.

I smiled when Jeff pointed out during the Bodycount Quick Look how Ryan destroys controllers with his indelicate bear mitts. I've been laughing at Ryan for that for like a year now.

Bodycount is weird. People are calling it awful in so many respects, but in a lot of ways it's really cool. I personally love the art style and color of the game, and I think the level design is interesting. I think the lean mechanic is good as well, as you can take cover anywhere you want essentially, and the different ways you can throw grenades is a very nice touch. They put a lot of thought into a lot of the game, and it shows.

I just think it plays like dog shit. I'm surprised Jeff brought up the input lag for melee, but not for shooting. Bodycount is the prime example of showcasing why gameplay matters more than anything.

Wow, I had no expectations whatsoever for that game, but that looks really, really cool. I love the small stuff, like when Ryan died against the Crab Puncher, there was no load time whatsoever. I always hate load times in games that are challenging. Games like Super Meat Boy handle that really well for example. Great visuals, very smooth.

edit: Oh man, Rock of Ages looks pretty sweet too. Too bad it's only on 360 so far, I don't have one. :/

Music in BloodRayne is amazing. Very Castlevania-esque, I like it.

Also, this game made me ask the question: Why isn't there a proper HD 2D Castlevania game? I would kill to see a game as big and as deep as SOTN with glorious HD 2D art and smooth animation on the 360/PS3.

I suppose that's true. It'd just be more refreshing to see "Last Post by (rudds/MonsterDunk)" on the screen and have it be positive responses of some sort to GAF's GB-loving community instead of knowing that it's always telling some ignorant jerk to fuck off.

It probably bothers me way more than it should.

If you're worried about random internet people's feelings you should probably get off the internet for a while.

Serious question: why do Brad and Jeff never respond to praise or laughter or thanks, only to the worst of the worst?

The Internet isn't as bad as you make it out to be. Your own website, believe it or not, is contained within its mysterious domain!
You must've missed the post where Brad told me he loved me.
