No. I'm not talking about story content but all the useful stats and collectives found with the awesome Grimoires.

I used to use grimoires to track all the enemies kills, strikes finished, exotics found, etc... some give you even bonus based on the level you reach in the grimoire card increasing drop rate or grimmer.

But what do you have in Destiny 2? Nothing... no grimoire points, no tracking info, no bonus.

Suck a great feature completely removed from the game

Yeap I'm pissed.

How do I know if I lack any Exotic???

I'm not really pissed. You can show lore on exotics and subclasses which is enough. The story seems to be hidden in adventures also.

Story was never the focus of grimories but a database info of all your activities and collectives.

You can track some of this info using emblems and other gear. I have a few emblems that track Heroic Public Events, kills across individual sub-classes as well as total kill count, etc.

Some emblems shows some stats... I found these:

- Heroic Public Events count
- Overall kill count

I'm sure there is more but you need to change the emblem to see the number lol

It is in no way what Grimoire give to you.

Yeap and that is a way limited way... how to drop an useful system like Grimorie to use a single info showed on emblem.

To reach this score you need to grind a lot of card with level... there are a lot of specific kills that give you 20 points at max.

That is why I specifically choose 4,370 and not a lower grimoire score.

I'm sure someone will make an excellent third party app to track what you're missing. If you're looking for yet another thing that's not in the game to track your progress, that need will be filled.

The grimwar'z purpose was to relay the world's lore. Now they do that in game when you scan things and when you hold LT/L2 while inspecting your exotic weapon. Everything about it is handled better in D2 than in D1.

You track lost sectors by checking the map. The ones that are done are colored in. As far as other collectibles, I think it's just loot.

Maybe if they just put the grimoire in the game (like everyone asked) instead of removing 80% of the amount of the first game, then make half of them hidden unsaveable voicelines that ypu have to go to to hear again.

I can be wrong but 3rd party apps used the own data in Bungie website (that include grimoire data) to show in a different way.

There is no way to have a 3rd app without Bungie public releases this data on the website and right 90% of the info is lost.

There is one for heroic events... kills with specific subclasses... I think we stumbled onto something but I don't wanna jump to conclusions.

Yeap... you have emblems for that too.

But I can show how much more detailed info Grimoires has... there is data for almost everything in grimoire... per enemy, per activity, by headshot, by time, by score, etc, etc, etc.

Grimoires tracks all data you have ingame for all activities, classes, enemies, locations, etc.

You have 3 levels for each stat that give you bonus... for example if you reach level 3 in Crisol Kill Titans you receive more grimmer when kill them... if you reach level 3 in Rumble your drop rate for gears increase after completation.

Same for others stats like you receive more grimmer killing Ogers after reach level 3... or activities and locations.

Simple examples:

The Crisol activities bonus are even better because they increase and add drops not included before.

Yeah. They were supposed to add it to the game, not remove it completely.

I'm bummed about it too. Grimoire hunting is what kept me playing Destiny many months after conquering the latest raids. Scanning stuff in game should have been in addition to the grimoire.

I honestly don't understand how Bungie fucks some of these things up. There was such an obvious solution here. It's like they go out of their way to do dumb shit sometimes.

The primary focus in my opinion was a database used to track data that give you ingame bonus after reach some levels. Of course you can read some lore too.

Grimoire is basically the game database for everything.

Destiny 2 doesn't have any type of game database.

I still don't understand why they don't have that stuff in the game. in Destiny 1 it was cool but the problem was it on a website. I don't really want to stop playing to get on my phone and look up some lore or stats but I would if its in the game but they just removed it instead of putting it in the game like a lot of people asked. Alright, where are the in game stats? The lore behind the races? Lore behind certain characters? That's not even touching the very detailed stats that the grimoire brought, showing exactly how many kills you had with certain weapons, for example.

I can see where OP is coming from, even though I barely used it.

There's a gulf between the amount of lore surrounding D1 and that in D2. I love that it's in the game, but I've been spoiled by the quantity of D1's. Both have great quality.

After 3 years of keeping my distance I finally caught the Destiny bug and I am really annoyed they removed it all for the app update. I'm just starting Taken King and would love to check out these features while progressing.
