How's performance?

Telltale ios ports are not known to be the best.

I swear, people ask this every day. It's fine. If you're Dark10x then you'll probably have a brain bleed or something, but it's perfectly fine for normal humans. Occasional hitches, mostly smooth. The game is excellent and is perfect for iOS.

It's my impression Minecraft for iOS gets more and more praise on all places but NeoGAF. It gets frequent big updates as well. I mean if one haven't played the PC version, surely the iOS one wouldn't be bad for that one person.

I am playing Crazy Taxi. On my phone.

This is incredible.

(Does anyone know how to do the speed dash thing, and if it's possible to drift?)

Crazy Dash is now a double-tap on D.

Not sure about Crazy Drift, but the Crazy Box seems to be intact in this port so I'm sure it'll tell you if you go through it!

Where is the game at now? I only heard about it at release where it was apparently crappy. How is it now? Is it complete?

Got my new ipod touch at apple store on sale. And a $50 itunes card at 20% off. Score. New touch is great. So light, and runs really fast and smooth. Whats with the app store on ios 6 though? Looks like shit.

Pixel sizes... all over the place! D: ARRRRGH! D:

It's pretty good ---- if you can deal with being one year behind the PC version in matter o features.
So it isnt just a free play mode now? Ie. you can mine materials and there are animals/monsters? I really dont mind it being behind as long as the game aspect of Minecraft is there.

Yes there's survival mode now. It's just that its way behind PC version.

Maxed out all the cars in Hill Climb Racing. Downloaded it the other day, curious that it had been topping the charts for a while. Physics racers hook me in like no other games.

I''ve been playing the booty outta Puzzle Craft, love this game!

Get it while it's still free :)
Grabbed it, thanks for the heads up :]

Gonna skip the Kairosoft games, Game Dev Story was enough for me and I feel like the other ones I tried (the RPG one and mall story) never quite ever reached the fun of GDS.

EDIT: Brownie, your name breaks the forum line and I don't like that.

This times a thousand. Such a great time sink. Big update should be arriving soon, too.

Nice to hear about the update, I missed the money doubler and honestly didn't think I needed it... Now i'm level 19 and with all that's going on I just spent a couple $'s in game to support the developer and get some coins. Game is a time sink all right!

Well... Gonna take a plunge based on you fuckers. If it isn't good there will be consequences and repercussions .

Come here, I'm ready. I just drained my batterie on that game again tonight!
I'm not yet sure what makes it so addicting to me. And normally I don't like "luck" games. Looks like the RPG elements pushes back the luck in a way where I reach a sweet spot and always want to start the slot machine again.

The soccer and racing ones have the magic and I would recommend trying those. Not so much the others for me.

I was so sad when I finished it :(

Fuuuuuuuck. I just got decimated by someone in Zookeeper that had a 50 WINNING STREAK. WTF?!?

I have a theory about that game. Obviously if you are really, really, really good... then no matter what the game throws at you, you can win. But I have a feeling that if it's someone fairly lowly ranked (~150,000th) vs someone far higher (say, 90,000) it will attempt to balance it out by giving the lower ranked person more bonuses such as health, wildcards etc. The amount of times when I've come across someone far, far lower than me and been absolutely obliterated when I've been playing well previously is getting ridiculous.

However, getting beaten by someone at rank ~3,500 with a (now) 50 winning streak... that's explicable.

Whennnnnnnnnn?

Picked upan iPad mini yesterday. What are the must haves? Also how is bastion?

Highly recommend Punch Quest and Arc Squadron. My favorite recent games to play on the Mini. OP has a lot of great games to look into. I personally love True Skate, though it's more a toy than a game in its current state.

Totem Runner is a nice freebie and Dodonpachi Maximum is amazing if you like shoot'em ups.

I wonder why games like these don't support iCloud saving. I bought a few coins while playing on the iPhone and then decided to move to my iPad and discovered I had to start all over again.

Yeah that's a pain in the ass. I swear the latest updated or Hill Climb Racing sad something about iCloud, guess it wasn't about save syncing.

Not sure if perhaps I just haven't played enough of it yet, but it seems like the "gold nerfing" in Knights of Pen & Paper was a bit exaggerated. I'm really enjoying it a lot thus far. It truly is just like the old D&D days when I would play with my brother and our friends back in the early 80s. The music is fantastic to boot. The gold earnings feel paced okay to me, and honestly, I haven't spent gold on anything other than new players and the Holy Grail so far.

Couple of free recommendations. First is Rhythm Rocket.

It's a music game, kinda, and uses your iPod library. It doesn't generate levels based on the beats or anything, just the tempo of the music. You have to veer left and right (tilt or touch controls are present, and the touch controls are amazing) to avoid the big asteroids. If you hit the asteroids the penalties are MASSIVE, you lose a crapton of points and some health, as well as any multiplier you might have. You earn points, though, by getting really close to the asteroids as you fly past. It's basically risk:reward in its purest form and is actually totally ace.

Next is BattleLand: Warrior vs Monster, which is probably free for a couple of days more. Also available in HD (also free).

It's pretty much a loot-whore game but without the constant mashing of buttons to fight stuff. Instead, battles are turn-based and you have no direct control, so you have to send your guy in with a customised set of skills that can keep the battle going in your favour. There's TONS going on, though. There's a massive single player campaign with board-game-esque dungeons, there's side quests to do, there's loot to find, you can customise and upgrade the loot, there's an arena to fight other players, there's a tower with super-hard content (I think, I haven't got that far), you can hire other team members, and you don't have to connect it to Facebook or anything shit like that. It has some currency stuff going on, but that really doesn't seem necessary as far as I can tell so far, I haven't actually had any need to spend anything. Not just because I chose not to, I genuinely haven't needed to. Definitely worth a look.

I finally have an iphone 5 and wow, some of my older games play really smooth now.

That shadowgun free to play game is really good, it's like a pocket gears of war with less shotgun, I hope it does well and i'll throw some of my money their way for the game.

most games should be ok with iExplorer on your pc/mac, find the app folder > documents and copy pasta it. It's a bit of a pain in the ass but possible.

Freeappslots gives you free iTunes and Amazon gift cards (and even iOS devices) in return for trying out free apps. It's a lot like free my apps except there's luck involved with the slot machine, they give you significantly more "money", on average, for each game you try and there are better prizes available (specifically retina iPads, iPad minis and iPod touches). After 1 day I'm 12% of my way to an iPad on 1 of my iOS devices, and 8% on the other! To confirm that it really works, I used a fraction of my credits on a $2 amazon gift card, and it did.

If you click the link below to get started then both you and I get 5 extra spins (you get from $0.015 to $200 worth of credits per spin).

Also you get 2 bonus spins per day even if you don't try any of the free apps.

Edit: Use Safari on iOS.

Uh, well guys, after pretty much giving up on this thing...this just happened.

A $50 gift card is 400k.
