iOS games are getting as bad for me as console games. I keep buying them when there's a good deal, and then never play them. My new ipad4 32gig is almost full, must stop buying games!

That would possibly work but I have done everything directly from the app store and if I sync it with my mac book won't it wipe it out?

Shouldn't do, on Windows it just tries to copy all the apps from my iPad to my computer if I sync it and doesn't wipe anything. In theory though, you shouldn't need to sync it. You should be able to buy it in iTunes to tie it to your account and then go to the "purchased" menu in the App Store on your iPad and start the download from there.

Just broke 1,000 days on Pen and Paper. Fantastic game that is also one-thumb portrait accessible for metro commutes = win. My blacksmith is making the last epic, now he'll have nothing to do!

Sleeping (to heal) only costs days, right, so there's really no penalty to heal? And how do you access the blacksmith?

There's no penalty unless you're outside of a town with an inn where you have a chance of being ambushed while camping. The blacksmith is the anvil icon that is available in some towns.. Note he has a weapons and armor icon for crafting, kind of subtle.

Daaamn, are you at least TRYING to manage your stuff? Personally, having a backloggerry helped me alot.

Goddamn. lol

The best thing I've gotten was a 5000 credits slot.

lol yeah I think all of my other spins combined have netted about $5 in credit. A few 2.5k wins and one 5k.

I'm going to try to earn 60k more and cash out for a $50 and a $25 gift card. The iPod and iPads seem highly unlikely, even after getting very lucky like that.

Blacksmiths are in town but not in the Default Town for some reason.

It was, but they removed it with last update not to give the impression they are looking for iaps money (ironically they were bashed for the gold nerfing affair).

Speaking of which, I love the game even more after the last update...XP progression is much more consistent and linear, not to mention I do not have any bug now and can consistently use the various skills.
I'm loving every minute of it.

What are good free iPad games with minimal/no-IAPs that are good to give parents that are using an iOS device for the first time, and who aren't gamers?

My luck sucks. That stupid freeappslots site doesn't like me. In 23 spins I still don't have enough points to get Angry Birds (even if I already have the game). There aren't enough ways to get more spins because I already downloaded most of those apps for another free site. And if that wasn't enough, I had an external harddrive hooked up to transfer a few Steam games that I just now manged to knock off my coffee table. Now it makes an awful sound and won't connect. Dammit. (I wonder if Amazon still has any good deals left...)

I also have a 32GB, and was told I was out of room when I tried to get asphalt 7 or whatever it was recently. I'll have to go through with a harsh blade and cut stuff I'll never play.

22 20 0 codes up for grabs....

Share the wealth. happy holidays.

HUEBRIX is free right now.

Puzzle game similar to Flow Free with great polish and presentation. Reminds me of Puzzlejuice and Spelltower in that regard. Simple so far, but I can see the mechanics they're introducing making it pretty challenging. Worth a look!

Just finished Walking Dead Episode 5. I'm floored. This is easily my GOTY on any platform.

My only problem bow is whether or not to delete the game-as it's over 2 gigs now with all the episodes, but when Season 2 cones around I want my save game present if necessary.

New iPhone 5 owner. Previously used a 3G for 4 years. So happy I can play every game on the market now. Will check out the current sales and best of threads to build a huge backlog.

I finished episode 1 on my iPad. Gonna get episode 2 tonight. Shame it doesn't fill the screen on an iPhone 5.

What is all that "connecting" the game does when you launch the game?

Are the in-app purchases transferable between iPhone and iPad? Probably not a big deal as the game saves aren't transferable.

Also how do I buy JUST Episode 2? Don't wanna buy 2-5. In case I don't really get into it.
Just wanna buy each episode as and when.

if you liked episode 1, i would say the chances of you not gasping to play episodes 3-5 after the end of 2 are incredibly slim. 2 and 3 are the best episodes, and once you're that far in there's no going back.

I'm so sad....I just completed the main Knights of Pen&Paper campaign.

AWESOME game.

I played a chunk yesterday and while I love the presentation of the game, the actual battles are a little too rinse/repeat for my liking. Get a big group, put pause statuses on them in turn, have my one guy put hibernate on them, use strong attacks rinse repeat. I wish there were more enemy behaviours designed to disrupt my little loop, because right now theres very little challenge apart from when I come up again massively over levelled enemies.

I am now in this exact same boat, I have a pretty big backlog.

This might be a dumb question but do games support saving between ipad and iphone and if so how does it work? I have games which are universal but my save does not carry over, like king cashing for example and world of goo. How can you tell if a game supports this feature?

Game saves don't carry over unless the developer has enabled Game Center saving or iCloud saves.

Question: what are "initiative" and "threat" in Knights of Pen & Paper?

Initiative decides the order of playing.
Threat is how many possibilities your character has to be hit among your party. Keep your high HP (tanks) characters with high threat, so they will be hit more likely than low threat characters.

I did a test on battery life with an iphone 5 to give me an idea on how long it can last.

40% brightness
3D heavy game
WIFI online play always connected

after about 2 hours from 100% it was down to 44%, I am impressed! my 4g touch would have died by now or been close to it.

The iPhone 5 was not hot until about an hour in and only felt quite warm in the last 15 minutes or so (wearing a jelly plastic phone case) where as my old 4g touch would get hot from 3D in about 20 minutes.

This is probably an old sentiment, but the art style alone has kept me completely hooked into Happy Street. The fact that it's also a fun and rewarding farmville type is great too.

But the painterly art in this game is so beautiful. Upgrading buildings has a sense of anticipation because I really wanna see the new version. They really took the Tiny Tower streamlining of the genre and made it even more compelling. At least it feels like more of a "game"!

I tried this on my brother-in-laws iPad and got a $50 iTunes Card now. I got lucky with the slots. I just need 10k credits for the Amazon $15 card.

Edit: I assume the rest of the episodes in The Walking Dead, will become available as I finish each one right? I bought the $15 pack and all the episodes say coming soon, except for episode 1.
