I can't get enough of Knights of Pen and Paper. Beat the main quest and every side quest I saw
Mom destroyed me though
and had to see the rest of the unlocked characters and started a new game.

Necro seems to suck though.

Football Manager 2013 should also be out soon.

I still can't understand their release scheduling for the FM Handheld franchise, releasing a game half-way through the season every year.

Updated list for the remainder of 2012:

Real Racing 3
Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition
Jet Set Radio
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City
Football Manager 2013 Handheld
Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour
Phoenix Wright HD Collection

Wait, isn't Real Racing 3 next year now? Also, did Ubisoft ever answer IGN's question of Ghost Recon: Shadow Wars for iOS?
Another question, aren't there any poker games, that are good teaching noobs about poker?

The Wood looks interesting as well.

New screenshots from Forgotten Memories (imgur is currently down).

Toucharcade have announced an iOS version of Shadow Warrior

Now there are a lot of things wrong with the game. For me it's the mix up of Japanese Ninja's and Chinese Kung-Fu. It's a 90's 3D FPS in the same "realm" as Doom and Duke Nukem.

Ninja's!!

Toucharcade didn't break the news though. :)

been waiting on news about Clumsy Ninja for a while now.

Has anyone heard anything new on this one?
I have been thinking the exact same thing, where is my clumsy ninja!? =/

I personally would have waited on a sale for Groove Coaster given how much of its content reappears in Groove Coaster Zero, but it's still a solid buy.

Have you tried jukebeat? The content store in that game is hopefully what Rb+'s store should look like in a year's time.

Thanks for suggestion of jukebeat. Will download and try now. Love me some Konami rhythm games.

NOOOOOO! That was meant to be the saving grace for this piss-poor month! Bastards.

Gonna update the OP soon with games from the past week, what was good? Seems its been very slow recently. Gonna add Groove Coaster Zero for sure.

lol Gameloft (he says, having played NOVA 3 at the weekend like an idiot).

Dec OT is up for grabs. whoever lays claim can do it!
Rage of the Gladiator was a very nice surprise, bought it on GDJustin's recommendation and I'm recommending it onwards. Fun take on punch out/infinity blade style gameplay with outlandish ancient Greek lore arena battles.

Oh and Walking Dead counts! Episode 5 just came out, that's a bloody must get!

Has anyone played QatQi?

It seems like an 'adventure' word game, where you explore rooms and search for loot. Art was designed by the same guy who did Osmos, and the visuals do in fact have the same spirit. Music is also similar to Osmos with its ambient style.

Gee, this looks great (and innovative), will definitely check it out - hadn't seen it mentioned anywhere else, so thanks for the heads-up.

Yeah, I've been having a good time with the game. A bit grindy, but there's a lot of cool stuff going on here. Just wish gold farming wasn't quite so slow. At first, I didn't really feel the changes they made in the last update, but now it's starting slow things down a bit.

Groove coaster Zero has just had the unlock new tracks level requirement lowered so it's not so much of a grind. I'm at level 40 and I only have 2 free tracks left to unlock.

Apart from the high score post one with seems to be glitched and won't open.

So addicted to the new iWesnoth. Better graphics than the predecessor and way more options for additional campaigns. There's literally hundreds of hours here. And the developer is actively working on the kinks, promising future performance updates. Buy it!

Anyone left who wants a Sonic 4 ep2 code? Quote for a bunch of them

I snagged T7KJFYF4RJFT. Thanks!!!

I tried it a while back and found that I couldn't make any sense of the rules at all. The requirements for whether or not you can place a letter seemed completely arbitrary, sometimes it'd let me place something that didn't form a word and sometimes it'd block me from doing so with no real explanation.

I got basically nothing out of it at all and promptly deleted it, which was disappointing because I was hopeful about it.

Quick updates:

jukebeat has a new KONAMI music pack in the store. Also, Rb+ is now promising updates soon on the in-game news feed.

Cytus 2.1.0 is out; new music and iPhone 5 resolution is now supported. Probably nothing done to fix the broken gameplay as usual.

Thanks, I stole YHWJKHYYNPMX.

Feels weird not having anything new to try, I don't think there's been a week or two this slow since I got my iPad in September. I'm hoping Phoenix Wright HD comes out in time to play through over Christmas break, Baldur's Gate is exciting too, though I'm not sure if it it'll hold up, from what I gather 2 is the one that's really considered a classic.

Was finally able to get the freeappslots site to work and just got Bastion for free. Pretty cool. Going to start working on getting Need for Speed Most Wanted now.

Pretty sure Battle Cats is going to be the death of me. Can't stop playing it, oozes charm and doesn't bore the shit out of you like Legendary Wars does.

Can't stop playing puzzle quest until I get my castle. The push notification to collect taxes has become priority and everyone thinks I must be mega-popular since I get "text'd" on such a regular basis at all hours.

Got an iPad mini a week or so ago, love it. Quick question...how does everyone play with their iPads? Do you use a stand, hold it with one hand, use your lap, etc?

Depends on the game. Most of the time I prefer to hold it like a book with two hands. Sometimes you get (bastard, evil, stupid) devs who will put the controls at the very bottom of the screen, making the iPad top heavy and nearly impossible to hold comforatably. For these games, I need to use the cover as a stand and have it either on a desk or a cushion. I then come to GAF and bitch about it.

More tappy/swipey games I'll usually just use the pyramid stand so I can have both hands free.

Portrait games (like PnP RPG or Groove Coaster) I'll usually hold one handed.

Any of you guys play Trigger Fist or Letterpress? Feel free to send me invites.

Great thing about the iPad mini is that it can be held is pretty much any orientation when gaming and still be comfortable. I hated iPad games in landscape but with the mini I have no issue whatsoever. Portrait games are great because they can be played one handed (particularly puzzle or board games) due to the size and weight.

Taking into consideration size and weight, iPad mini really is the best iOS device for gaming.
