Yeah I love killing time with this thingReese-015 said:I always thought Robot Unicorn Attack is just a free flash game that's simple and gimmicky. Never gave it much of a try. Never thought of giving the app a chance...
But somehow... Yesterday... I did.
This shit is profoundly brilliant and entertaining. I opened my eyes. My eyes are opened.
Yes, well, I didn't say that I wanted to do the work! :/jayb said:^^^ just create a wiki with protected pages that only specific users can edit. maybe use wikia.com? I think you can add polls so users can vote too.

Though I might, if I could get a large enough base of contributors interested in working with me to build up the DB. We could work with current goodies and work our way backwards in time.

It would be great if there was a database of the (better) games sorted by genres, catching up to all the games that have been released for someone just getting an iPhone or iPod Touch can be a daunting task.

So far, I'm really impressed - basically you get a grid of multicolored ghosts. Tapping 2 or more of the same color eliminates them, 4 or more triggers the bonus bar on the right where you can chain more hits before the bar runs out for big points.
Then there is the layer of pacman himself: you can control him at any time by swiping or dragging your finger. The idea is you use him to pick up fruit, pellets and power pellets. Power pellets turn ALL the ghosts blue (of course) and you can chomp away at the whole grid for a limited amount of time. Chaining power pellets nets you big points.
Presentation is really good. Music and graphics all have a nice retro feel - and the controls are great. I've read some complaining that pacman controls a little loose... But it's a very minor gripe IMO, and personally, I think he controls perfect.
One big complaint though... There doesn't seem to be any global/local leaderboards!?! This makes no sense whatsoever, since this game is ALL ABOUT score. I'm assuming Namco will patch this in... there seems to be an empty slot on the menu that would fit a leaderboard button nicely.![]()
Right now my sessions last about 10 minutes, getting me to level 70+. lasting longer is going to be tough, but I'm getting better with every play.
All in all - great game and a must get for iPad owners.

Yes, but not on the iPhone. It is an old Java game that was on phones before the iPhone was released.Mejilan said:Dungeon Hunter 2 is out!?
Was there ever a Super KO Boxing 1?

Some of the notable titles that should support Game Center today:
Perhaps most importantly, publisher Chillingo has confirmed that it will be possible to transfer your Angry Birds account to Game Center.
"There will be no loss of data e.g. leaderboards and past achievements," Chillingo's Joe Wee told us. "Customer experience is key. Game Center and Crystal will be fully integrated."
We also tried to find out whether Angry Birds would gain more features when the Game Center update is released
Mikael Hed, CEO of developer Rovio, was tight lipped but speculative.
"I cannot comment on Game Center right now, but it will mean total awesomeness," he said.
Open everywhere
We've also spoken to OpenFeint, the technology behind thousands of iPhone games such as Fieldrunners, Jet Car Stunts and Depict.
Its CEO Jason Citron said, "We're going to provide developers comprehensive tools to migrate their data if they want to switch."
This means that if developers want to transfer their existing achievements and high scores over to Game Center, they will be able to. Obviously not all will, but we'd expect most popular games to be supported in this way.

Well if it has a sort of web backend to it (like the stores) they could push some updates to the UI that way.LCfiner said:so, um, it seems that the friends list isnt sortable by alphabetic priority, but by the order invites were accepted.
oh man, thats gonna bug me down the line :lol heres hoping for a GC 1.0.1 in the next couple weeks (oh wait, they cant do that since its part of the entire OS. oh man)
I'm not sure there's any. I've heard of some people using a VNC/RDP connection to play through their computer. Clunky but I guess it should work fine.Mutagenic said:This may be slightly off-topic, but are there any poker sites compatible with the iPad? I know most use flash.
