I haven't played it so I'm not sure. There's probably a few people on here that have though. I'm sure they can chime in.
Ah, cool. I know what to expect with it, I just wonder if it works really well with a iOS interface.

I've only got three achievements left to earn on Death Rally. I need to take out 25 Deliverators (at 16 currently), and I need the God and 42 fame level ones which I will almost certainly never get since the thresholds for those are 10 and 42 MILLION fame each.

Great game, probably the most played iOS game of all the ones I've owned since the platform came out.

How do you get magic? I noticed that there's an in-app purchase option for some but I'm not doing that.
If you have a weapon with a high magic level you can have it transform into a spell.

Dacvak said:
And you should feel bad. I've been stuck on that stupid endboss in Ancient Species forever. No idea what to do at all.

I'm using a bronze blade +39A, +1M. I don't really have anything for magic. The only high magic item I got I "used" to get the fire spell. Haven't seen another high one since.

Also, do you know what any of the DLC does?
I managed to beat the Garuda Slime earlier today and then, nothing happened... I could walk around on the 10th floor but I never got any drop and the game refused to end. Now I have to beat it all over again.

No clue about the DLC.

I beat him earlier as well. You just have to select Quit from the inventory menu. The next world should be selectable after that.

I found a Dragonblade earlier which has +53A and +3M. I'm on the fourth world now. I kind of wish they'd put more stuff in the game as I like the Infinity Blade style concept but simplified.

So it bugs like that for everyone? I thought the Garuda Slime was supposed to drop a powerful weapon...

I just found out you can change your class (and hence AT/MG stats) by changing the colours of your character under options.

I'm sure none of this stuff is mentioned in the how to play section.

Do items just randomly change into spells then? I'm not seeing an option for it.

If you equip an item with a high magic level (30+) you get a third button to turn it into a spell.

I think an exit button in the time trial and normal mode would be a good addition.

It might be tough fitting it in but it's kinda important. Multi tasking would also be nice.

Well worth the money I paid!

i have it, and i play the hell out of it. i find it to work really well, i have no complaints. it does what is required of it (being a hardcore sim) tons of micro managing (but you can allow the computer A.I to fill in rosters if you choose). you can play the game which ever way suits you (i build my team and sim weekly) as opposed to siming every game individually and choosing actions during the game.
sorry if my review skills leaves something to be desired, but all in all i would say that if you are a baseball fan and enjoy simulation style games and building teams, then this game wont let you down.

edit- short answer yes it woks with ios interface very well.

Yea, our next app update should allow 4.0+, hopefully the app update comes out before the free download time expires. I'll let you guys know if the update comes out before then.

Or, just update your OS dude!
Can't update my OS any higher, 4.3 doesn't work on older hardware.

The game is pretty much massively incomplete:

Only the first level gives any indication that you have finished it, the other 3 levels do not.

When you've finished all four levels, you can go back to the first level and there are 10 more floors (up to 20F) with a slightly more powerful boss... upon finishing this, again, no indication that anything else is left to do. Other stages don't have any extra floors.

Bosses (with the exception of the first one) give any indication that anything is dropped. It doesn't happen very often, but when you kill a boss make sure to check every square on the map as there may be an invisible chest.

Saying that though, I found myself playing it for hours on end, honestly with the above things fixed, a proper game guide, more levels and generally more content... it would be a lovely little roguelite

Very nice, I guess the menus are a great fit for the small touchscreen. I got the First Touch Soccer game since it was cheap, but since I'm more of a baseball guy I'll definitely try this.

We talking about OOTP? If so yes the game is really good...

My only issue is I cannot put a player on the block, and the minor league system is a little bland for a game as deep as this..

yeah and i will also love to be able to set my needs in positions, cause it seems that as the jays i need a catcher (not really) but the computer says so, so every trade offer i get has a catcher as the focal point of the deal.

Just wanted to give everyone a heads up that Switch Frenzy is Free for a limited time.

Its a game me and a fellow gaffer (guise) have created in our spare time, and we would love more people to have a go with it. There are no in-app purchases, or in-app advertisements, this is a totally free copy of the game, which we are planning to continue to add more features to. Those of you who do download it and have a go, follow us on twitter (@breadengine) as we're planning to have a little competition in the future, giving away some stuff to the leaderboard toppers.

Also quick note, proper iPad version is to come out soon after approval from Apple.

Just downloaded it. Thanks.

I know I'm lttp but I just grabbed Great Little War Game HD. Only played the first 3 missions so far but it seems really cool. I can see me grabbing some of the map-packs depending on campaign length.

A game like Infinity Blade doesn't deserve such an inspired piece.
Pffft. IB is a rocking little game. That reviews cool too.

But, I guess it would be weird if someone wrote a highly creative review of a highly creative game like #sworcery. It would be redundant and cloying.

I also was a bit surprised by that, yeah. Though I think the way you put it might be a bit harsh, IB is definitely a unique and refined piece of art when it comes to mobile games or even just games in general. It's not Ico but it's not in an entirely different league from those kinds of games either imo.

It's in an entirely different sport.

First Touch Soccer is almost becoming the PES/FIFA of iOS for me. The control scheme is something that console soccer titles should aim at. It makes the idea of a dedicated "shoot" "pass" "lob" "through ball" button seem so antiquated.

Stop being so blatant..

EA really needs to start supporting Game Center. I don't understand why they are waiting so long.

Mirror's Edge, Reckless Racing...I have no idea why they didn't provide GC support for these.

Any dev care to chime in as to what the reasoning could be from experience?

They don't support Steam achievements either.. it seems if it's not mandatory (ie: Xbox and PS3), they can't be bothered.

Pixel Slime is AMAZING. It's literally a perfect 5 minute game to play at work. I know you guys (well, Dacvak) have beat it, but I'm so confused in the game. How do I get magic? How do I defeat the Dark Slime? Sorry if this was already asked, but I'm at work with shitty signal and not a lot of time.

Thanks for the positive feedback guys, makes all the difference to us! <3

I'm sorting out the Verizon capable edition as I type this. Took about a week last time to get approved by apple, so hopefully next Monday.

Also do we have a list of whose who on game center? Would be really interested on who is posting these great scores. Very impressed.

Make it iPad universal and I will buy it.

Items that have a high enough magic stat can be turned into a spell (there's a third button that will show up beside the "discard" button).

To defeat Dark Slime, get diagonal to him and wait for him to move adjacent to you. As he's moving, push towards the square he's entering, hitting him as he moves, and then move before he has a chance to finish walking and hit you. Keep your HP up, and when it gets low just move away when he moves towards you and use your potion when it's up. That's how you beat almost every hard mob in the game.

I think I've already put more time into Pixel Slime than Infinity Blade. It's stupidly addictive and it doesn't take much time to play one round.

Has anyone beaten (endgame spoiler)
the extra boss? The dark slime on 20F turns into a second boss and I haven't been able to kill it. Even as a Monk with 900+ HP and a high magic sword to rapidly cast the healing spell I still die.

Edit: I beat it after a few more tries.
It was the final boss. :(

I believe that more games should include new game+. Infinity Blade and Pixel Slime are two shining examples that this type of gameplay mechanism is extremely attractive and addictive.

From what I've gathered from a buddy that works there, they're just not doing it.

I'm pestering him about it anyway, tho.
