yeah and i will also love to be able to set my needs in positions, cause it seems that as the jays i need a catcher (not really) but the computer says so, so every trade offer i get has a catcher as the focal point of the deal.

Yeah that would be nice...

Why did I buy Kami Retro? :(

As soon as I played the 4th level (where the bounce pads are introduced), I realised I'd probably never touch the game again. The controls are dodgy as fuck.

Yeah I kind of regret getting Kami Retro too...I think I actually got it because of some posts in this thread but it's all cool. The other platforming game I got for free and deleted controlled exactly the same (Chop Chop the Caveman or something??) Swiping to jump is just a bad idea.

LaneSplitter was updated with GameCenter, it's kind of not much but a "dodge the cars as long as you can" game but it's cool to see a game make full use of tilt controls. I keep wanting to tilt the iPad up to do a wheelie.

I have some sort of Mahjong Deluxe game that seems pretty nice - before the last update when you ran out of moves and did a re-shuffle it was stupid and didn't necessarily shuffle with guaranteed moves, now they updated and fixed that obvious issue...I don't know how the Gamecenter leaderboards work but hopefully it's something like "cleared with min # of shuffles". If anyone has any other shanghai style games that are better than that one I'd love to hear it.

Yeah, this came out around the time I realized every cute game isn't worth buying. Seemed like ten minutes of fun but not enough to keep me coming back or worth my $. Happy I skipped it. Sorry :x

How long did it take you guys to beat mirrors edge? And is it worth it?

It depends on what you want to do and what you want from it. I think it took around 2 hours (maybe a little less) but I didn't look for all the back packs. To give you an idea, it takes about 40 minutes to get the worst ranking for a speed run of every level combined but that's straight running from point A to B and knowing exactly where you have to go while ignoring combat and collectibles. I've gone back and gotten hours more of replay from speed runs and back pack hunting compared to the hour and a half of my first play through.

I really recommend it despite it's shorter length. It's one of those games that really works on iPhone. It's very refreshing and doesn't overstay it's welcome.

Super Stick Golf is free today! But when I tried to download from app store, it says the item is being modified...and then I tried iTunes and while it says "free app", clicking on it makes a window appear saying are you sure you want to buy it, credit card will be charged. I'm scared that it's not actually free....but it says it's free

It may take a few minutes for it to apply the price change.

It does have the "FreeAppADay" spiel in the description so I beleive it's legit, I have it up and will try to download it again in about ten minutes.

It is free! (not the free version, the full version) FreeAppADay is doing this app free. :D

GO CRAZY!

I had that problem but it's working for me now

Awesome, I have been holding off on SSMG and now my waiting has paid off. Although after playing a few rounds I think it would be worth it at full price.

Also, the Wired App just got an update and you can now subscribe to the iPad version and more importantly current paper-based subscribers finally get full access to the tablet version.

So GAF, since my iPad is the only gaming device I have right now I'm open to any and all suggestions. I have Dead Space, Canabalt, Frisbee, and am downloading Infinity Blade now.

I know that Game Dev Story is pretty old by now but I just started playing it yesterday and my god is it amazing. I sat there for a solid 2 hrs working my employees down to the bone making Ninja sim games and animal shooter games.

I still do not understand how to appease the reviewers though. I can never get anything higher than a 7 from them. Maybe I should bump up my niche appeal

Super Stickman Golf: Is all that in-app crap stuff that you unlock anyway, or is it extra stuff?

It's all stuff that you can unlock anyway, it's just an instant unlock, not worth it at all.

Just got an iPhone 4, (already have iPad 2).. and to my surprise Infinity Blade runs at a much lower framerate. I made sure to restart my iPhone to see if it wasn't a cache/memory issue.

Kind of disappointing!

I just went the other way! I upgraded my iPad to an iPad 2 and was expecting it to perform the same as my iPhone 4 but was pleasantly surprised to find it's much snappier than my iPhone.

is it really that hard for the mahjong guys to label the buttons in english so we can get around the game???

really looking for a good hong kong rules mahjong game....

i was playing the mahjong game made by the makers of funtown mahjong... and its 16 tiles taiwanese rules... to be honest... i much prefer hong kong rules with 13 tiles.... with 16 the hands aren't as nice and when I go for a big score, i generally run out of tiles or someone beats me to it... not to mention i think the game knows when im down to one tile and someone always trumps to winning - very frustrating.

If ever you find a decent HK rules MJ game please share it here. English or not is fine. I'll do the same should I ever find one.

Almost didnt pick up Super Stickman Golf because I want sure it was free on ipad too, what a mistake that would have been. Love this game.
