I just found out some COCKSUCKER made two $19.99 "1.5 million chips" in-app purchases on my account for some "Texas Poker" app which I don't even have.

I went on Apple's support forums and there are indeed many threads with tons of people who have been similarly jacked.

Check your Apple ID accounts and balances, everyone...

Apple better reimburse me quick or

How do I check my Apple ID Account Balance?

Yeah, the charges showed on the email receipt I got today.

Yesterday, I redeemed a $50 card and bought "Carcassonne."

I tried to buy "NBA Jam" today and found out I had insufficient funds and you know the rest...
Chang your password and find out if there's something on your computer stealing your info.

This thread moves so damn fast. I can't keep up with this platform.

I feel like each game should get it's own thread like every other platforms games do. I thought Mega threads were dead anyways. I miss out on so many games here because they get lost.

This is true but I think it would be too crowded. I guess they could make a new subforum for mobile gaming or something, maybe even all portable games.

They have. It's a seriously shitty thing to do, designed to purely gain money, and means that I won't be buying their Tower Defense game. Apparently it's utterly mediocre anyway. Even TouchArcade - who are sponsored by them this month - couldn't bring themselves to give it a glowing review.

How can they even trademark Tower Defense? It's been in common generic use for a decade by thousands of other games. Can't anyone easily challenge it and get it revoked?

i like this idea.

This concerns me. I buy on my apps and music through the App Store and iTunes app on my iPhone. While I'm probably pretty safe I have no doubt the iPhone is becoming a prime target for hackers to steal identity information and account info.

I think that is a bit much for most games. Maybe iOS threads for different genres. One for RPG for example, and another for puzzle games and so on. I am happy with having one iOS thread too since I just keep a page open for it all the time on my iPhone Safari.

i like having one thread, atleast for the sake of just being able to subscribe to one thread and see if there are any good deals. in my opinion, its easier to miss entire threads than it is to just take a few minutes to read a page of posts

This thread works. There are so few iPhone games that are worthy of their own threads.

The big games should get threads, but it shouldn't be the norm.

Maybe we should make some tematic iphone threads. For example, a generic iphone RPG thread, to discuss about all the RPG (most of them korean) that are in iPhone.

Comic flow sucks due to the limitations on organization. Comic Zeal is ok but has its own issues and costs far more than any other options, which tend to make me think the only reason Comic Zeal supporters are as... zealous about it is because they have to justify their purchase and refuse to pay again for a competing reader.
Well, let's take a look at the release dates according to App Shopper.

Comic Zeal: Apr 1, 2010
ComicGlass: Jul 29, 2010
ComicFlow: Dec 17, 2010
Bookman: May 20, 2011

Comic Zeal has been out much longer than any of the other apps. According to my receipts I bought it in May '10 as it was the best option available at the time. I'd gladly buy a different app if I was convinced it was a better option, but Comic Zeal seems to work fine for me. No need to jump to conclusions.

It's an over-complex solution to a problem that doesn't even really exist.

Would anyone recommend Order and Chaos? It looks interesting but I don't think I want to get involved if there is not enough content. Is it worth playing?

A friend of mine had Mirrors Edge so I thought I'd give it a test, I beat it in less then an hour, unless there was something I missed the game was ridiculously short, even for an iOS game

It's without contest the best MMO on the platform, loads of content, but it's all been-there-done-that type generic drivel. It does the job, and rather well, but it's exactly what you'd expect, and nothing more. Which is still better than everything else in the genre on iOS. It's just if you have a PC, you'd be far better off wasting your time on a free-to-play MMO instead.

I'm going to post in here just to see if people know, was there a generic iOS app thread, not related to games?
Nothing like this thread. The apps are posted across the iPhone/iPod app thread, iPad app thread, iPhone 4 thread, iPad 2 and iPad 1 thread. Then there's also the iOS music creation thread. It's all in shambles! Especially sometimes when there are universal apps released. Maybe RubxQub will create a unified thread one of these days.

Stop with the horrible vpad controls, and the harassment will follow in kind.
Yep. V-pads are such a joke. On console/other handheld games, if the controls are atrocious for a game, I won't play it much further, I definitely don't look forward to any iOS games just to suffer through them expecting some redeeming and exponentially better portion of the game to make up for the shitty controls.

I'm not sure what's wrong with me, but I've played a few hours of Tiny Chef today. It's very slick, but it's a total freemium moneygrab type game.

How is Sacred Odyssey?

It's okay. If you get the full version for "free" for iPad you get to do a couple of quests before having to buy it for the 99c sale price. I haven't finished it. I have been playing it on my phone, but for a buck I bought it for the iPad today.

i am blown away that macheist has the ability to push a game to #1. Totally blown away.

Has anyone played it?

Never heard of macheist. The game is developed by taptaptap (camera+) and MostlyLisa has also been promoting it - that's how I heard about it. It's pretty cool if you like puzzles - I find the ones with the wood pieces you have to move around mind boggling at times, still haven't beaten the game.

Apps at #1 are more likely to stay #1 due to visibility I imagine. It's pretty bland IMO. Production values are nice but it's just a 4-in-1 puzzle compilation basically. I wouldn't recommend it.
Well, if you do beat it, you get a free game for PC/Mac. I liked the concept, and while the game was a bit short, I thought it was definitely worth the dollar it cost.

Huh. Well that's disappointing. I've started making stuff, and I figured this might not be a bad place to get some feedback.

GeoDefense is awesome, but got very very difficult at the 2nd level on medium (Gordy).

Was doing fine up until then, but I'm getting my ass kicked. Any tips?

Haha yeah Ive been waiting on this app to go on sale, so glad I did. Definitely worth $10
The enhanced for iPad 2 version does looks sweet. That said, I'm enjoying the iPhone version, and it was only a buck.

With WWDC looming, I can't be the only iOS user here extremely excited to see the platform's direction. Hopefully I won't get in trouble for this, but I'd love (as, I'm sure, would many others) for any generous GAF developers to register UDIDs in spare slots for those of us who just can't really afford to shell out $100 for beta access at the moment. I'd love to give the betas a try to do my bit to smooth out bugs. Shame I don't own a mac, or I probably would have tried iOS development for myself by now :/
Quoting myself. I'll ask one more time before it gets buried forever hahaha.

Yeah, I didn't know that at the time I posted. It's a nice deal for people who don't already have the prize game.

LMAO, I thought it was just me.

I don't think I've gotten past 16/24.

Wesnoth seems heavily influenced by some of my favorite childhood games (hex strategy games like Dark Wizard and Master of Monsters), I like it but I thought it used to be an open source game? Maybe I have a bad memory but I'm curious about the history of that game. The art seems a little bit all over the place and I haven't played far enough to comment about gameplay...overall the card game from the same guy seems a lot more in your face but up against a big battle with Magic 2012 coming out soon.

I am digging Current, it's like Puzzle Bobble meets Geo Wars or something.
