PEOPLE BUY BIT TRIP BEAT !!!

Game is stupid awesome, love it on Wii - but now on my Touch..... aargh - too good :D

Bought also Puzzle Agent, Peggle, Osmos and Spider. Yes a good week for me :D


How is Zenonia 2 compared to the first one ? Since its also on sale, maybe i should get it. I like the first one, but looking at the screens it doesnt look that much different than the first game + they are selling many ingame items for real cash which i dislike.....so yay or nay ? Does it offer enough new elements or is it just a zenonia 1 mappack ?

I'm on vacation at the beach all this week, and I think we'll be playing Carcasonne and Settlers of Cataan. Once I get the hang of it, expect an invite.

Did it go universal yet?

EDIT: No it, didn't, but It looks good scaled up. I just played my first game. I'll definitely be sending you an invite. This game is great.
 
I'm launching a site (probably tomorrow) to review iOS games. Does anyone care to join? Currently, it's mostly just me with a little help from a dear friend. It was going to be written in Arabic but I changed my mind at the last second, so that's why I came here. Anyone wanna volunteer some of his precious time once a week to write a review? It's a personal site so there's no quota to meet. Just write whenever you feel like it.

From the About page:

"This is a personal side-project, and the idea is fairly simple: give something back to the fantastic developers who gave me quality-experience with my iPhone & iPad, be it productivity applications, games, and everything in between. We will hardly ever write about games that we don’t like. Consider this site as an eye-opener to some of the applications in the AppStore; it’s rather a stupidly (and awesomely) large store that you will surely need a little help from the likes of us."

I hope I'm not violating anything. I don't even care about posting the link in here -- I'm not advertising nor competing (lol). I just love to write and wanna see if anyone's up for it.

I think I can help here and there. I can't really go and review stuff I don't have, cause I can't afford it (stupid job market). But I am more than willing to play the games I have and write about them. :D
 
i bought iphone bit trip beat the other day after wondering which to go for, then got the ipad version today because it went on sale and the total price for both is now less than the ipad version was alone in the first place...

anyway, long story short, the game is way better on iphone anyway - touch controls are much harder on ipad, and the game doesn't even fill the screen! get the iphone version and run it x2.

HenryGale: What level do you have to reach to beat super mega worm? Frankly, it didn't occur to me that there was an end.
 
Heading on a 6 day trip cross country. Iphone is making the journey of course. I dont own any iphone games, whats the one must have?!?!?!

Awesome. Yeah unfortunately it hasn't gone universal yet though it has gotten some good updates since release at least. PM me your email and I'll invite you to a couple games.
 
I've probably said this before, but I really, really like Geo Wars Touch, even despite the moronic design decision to have your thumbs obscure the action. Christ it's addictive. It seems to have all the modes in Geo Wars II as well. I'm glad I took the chance at 99 cents.

It is by faaaar my favorite game atm and probably will be for a very long time, LOVE it, so polished, so pretty and so much fun... Some iPhone games I love because they just nail certain things really well but most of the time they're still a far cry from a really good polished console title, other games then have that polish and depth of features (like NFS: Shift) but dont do much that's really incredibly fun on the device. GW is the first game that just wins me over on absolutely all fronts, it makes me feel like they really respected the platform and didn't dumb it down or slacked on making it absolutely awesome.

Get an RPG i would say.... Dungeon Hunter or Chaos Rings.
 
I see the big sale is still on and I only bought Spider and SMB2 so far. The problem is that Carcassonne still tempts me but I can't make myself take the plunge (I know, I'm cheap but all these purchases do add up and I also don't have an iPad).

The question is, do I spend $5 on:

Mirror's Edge
Puzzle Agent
Pac-Man CE
Peggle

all for $5, or do I buy Carcassonne?

That's the problem with the App store... so many cheap games!

I have them all. I love them all. But, Carcassonne kicks everything out of the loop. EVERYTHING. I'm playing it not just every single day, but in every waking moment. The multiplayer is fricken fantastic. Quite easily my favorite app alongside Canabalt. It alone justifies my iPhone purchase :lol and if you have an iPhone 4, then you're gonna drool over the visuals -- high-quality Retina textures = sextastic.

I have only played the game for about an hour or so and I can say that its the first football game that feels like a real game, if that makes any sense. I've read thats its a PSP port with HD graphics, I don't know if its true or not but it would make sense if it was.

My only complaint is that I'm having some serious lag issues in cutscenes/ goalie kickoffs/free kicks/ when there are too many players on the screen etc etc

I hope they fix that, other than that its definitely the best football game out there. I'm playing it on Iphone 4.

It will be interesting to see how PES11 compares

It looked good at the high resolution of my PC for what it's worth. It certainly wouldn't go down in quality.

Play it now! It's a great weekend game. The core game isn't hindered by it from what I've played of the iPhone version so far.

No iPhone 4 unfortunately (3GS for me), but I think you convinced me. I've played through Peggle twice on other platforms so I don't need it, and Mirror's Edge can wait until it hits $0.99 at Christmas :D I may pick up Puzzle Agent too and Pac-Man CE can be skipped since I've got so many other games to play!

I'm like 20 levels in and it's just an unimaginative boring title. Several times the game has outright crashed (iPod Touch 4G) and it can take a serious amount of time (10-15 seconds) after beating a level for it to register that fact and allow me to proceed to the next one. So far, I'm just not impressed. Like I said, I've played similar games with much more character, flair, and gameplay. Maybe it gets better; I think I'll wait until a 1.5 version either way.
