Haha you don't understand how lucky I got with that score. I got it on my first game when gamecenter was added.Gamecocks625 said:I'm gunning for you on fruit ninja
Yeah same, seems like apps really drain the batteries.YagizY said:Does anyone else have an ipod touch 4th gen? I feel like I have to charge this thing every 2 days damn it.
I wouldn't exactly say the 2 exclusive levels are a good thing. The two levels that iOS gets are levels that were taken out of all other versions due to complaints about them.GoDLiKe said:Sonic 4 will cost $12.99 on US App Store.
Well, we get 2 exclusive levels and it's cheaper compared to console versions.
Sounds better then my 3rd ten which I can drain in hours on one game.YagizY said:Does anyone else have an ipod touch 4th gen? I feel like I have to charge this thing every 2 days damn it.
Looks like it's $9.99, not $12.99.GoDLiKe said:Sonic 4 will cost $12.99 on US App Store.

I guess there's a reason you have that tag. Guess that's the first thing you notice about a game? Such a curse.dark10x said:(Sonic 4) Better be 60 fps. If it's not, they may as well have just cancelled the iPhone version.

Two days is excellent for a multipurpose device.YagizY said:Does anyone else have an ipod touch 4th gen? I feel like I have to charge this thing every 2 days damn it.
I'm not sure it's really a big technical achievement...isn't it all prerendered sprites on the iPhone version? I'm guessing they didn't render every possible frame and it's playing at 30fps or something.Mejilan said:The iPhone 4 is the only modern iDevice I own or have ever owned.
Or smartphone. So I can only vouch for how SFIV runs on that.
And it does not run well.
There's a slight but noticeable jitteriness to the game's performance, and the touch controls simply do not work for a precision fighting game. The combo system is also stripped down and broken. For the record, I'm hardly a fight stick elitist, and I got all 150 stars in Super Mario 64 DS. I can deal with less than ideal controls. SFIV on the iPhone might be a sort of impressive technical achievement, but it's easily the shittiest portable fighting game I own.
Wow, we really have become spoiled. The 6 AA batteries that powered my Sega Genesis Nomad lasted 2 hours.YagizY said:Does anyone else have an ipod touch 4th gen? I feel like I have to charge this thing every 2 days damn it.

It won't kill me if Epic Citadel winds up being a good game with performance issues.
I'll be there day 1, because I love fantasy RPGs. Especially ambitious and portable ones.
But if you're going to show off your technology with a glorified fly-by that already evidences performance issues; one that (understandably, being a tech demo) lacks ANY of the gameplay features (characters, enemies, AI, interaction elements) that would further bog down an engine, how the hell am I supposed to be impressed?
As I posted before, I'm convinced that it was rushed out the door to make the Apple event, and I'm confident that it'll all come together into a suitably impressive (and hopefully enjoyable) game package. I'll reserve "jaw dropping" for something more than a collection of pretty textures that look better in stills than in motion. Hopefully, it'll smashingly apply to the full game.
Hell yes. It's a really clever and fun game.whitehawk said:Is mirrors edge any good? It's 60% off right now at $1.99.
Yes it is, and Sony has this handheld system of their own they'd rather sell than make ports for the iPhone (although, it would be delicious irony if they eventually caved and did so). Also, Rolando and Rolando 2 is the answer to your latter question.whitehawk said:I have a question. Why the hell isn't Loco Roco on the App store. It's the PERFECT game for the iPod touch.
Is it owned by sony?
Yep, noticed that myselfWordAssassin said:Also, in the later levels, does it load really slow for anyone else when you complete a level? Like, I'll get 3 stars, the candy drop into OM-NOM's mouth, he eats it, and then the game just stalls. The music keeps playing, but nothing is moving, and then after a few seconds the score screen comes up. I've tried rebooting my phone, nothing. I don't want to uninstall the app because I don't want to lose my save (I have 3 stars on all but 2 levels so far, wahaha). Anyone else?

WordAssassin said:Fake Edit: Just saw that the iPad version is out. Don't think I'm gonna bite because I totally feel like this should have just been an update to make it a universal app. There's no extra shit in the iPad version that's not in the iPhone version. It's Angry Birds/Angry Birds HD all over again.
And on that note, to the person who said they thought the extra screen space would be better: not necessarily. There are times when you needs to cut multiple ropes at once and doing that with both thumbs while holding the phone is much, much easier than resting the iPad somewhere to use both index fingers.
What do you suggest? That's the main gameplay mechanic. Though Angry Birds isn't called like, "Fling the Bird" or whatever. Feed the Beast?AgentWhiskersX said:Cut the Rope needs a better title.

The battery life is way better on the iPod touch than your iPod nano. You're doing much more than playing music. Come on.YagizY said:Yes I am coming off having an ipod nano whose battery lasted long as hell. I just didn't expect battery life to be so poor on the ipod touch.
If you like games with ropey frame-rates, imprecise controls, very little content and absolutely no charm, you'll be well away with Sonic 4.Gamecocks625 said:So I'll definitely get Modern Combat 2 and Cut the Rope (and PES 2011 when it appears on the US store).
Is Sonic 4 worth the purchase? I've heard extremely mixed reviews on this one.
