Yes.

I can't believe how many games I'm buying for my Touch. Even so, I still just default to a few games that I enjoy playing over and over. Fruit Ninja, Flick Kick Football, PES 2010, Lumines, Peggle, SFIV, and Angry Birds are getting a majority of play.
I'm still waiting for a good golf game.
SmokyDave said:Just had a quick blast on Time Geeks. I really like it. Excellent pixel art (love the parallax clouds & birds), nice music, responsive controls and nice presentation. I like all the little hidden references around the levels too. Anyone else notice the Lemmings on the first map? There's even a floater!
Better be 60 fps. If it's not, they may as well have just cancelled the iPhone version.Gamecocks625 said:Is Sonic 4 confirmed for tomorrow?
It's a hidden object game.randomlyrossy said:I think I've seen this a few times while browsing the app store, what kind of game is it exactly?

I imagine you groaning at that but this one is pretty cool. Maybe I'm just swayed by the art but I'm really enjoying it.
Is there any news on the price for Sonic 4?
Psy-Phi said:I hope Shadow Sun is turn based and not real-time. But looking at that combat screen it probably is real-time, more similar to Oblivion (or Ravenwood on the iPhone).

Hopefully it won't turn out to be an empty, boring turd like Xenome.
The iPhone 4 is the only modern iDevice I own or have ever owned.
Or smartphone. So I can only vouch for how SFIV runs on that.
And it does not run well.
There's a slight but noticeable jitteriness to the game's performance, and the touch controls simply do not work for a precision fighting game. The combo system is also stripped down and broken. For the record, I'm hardly a fight stick elitist, and I got all 150 stars in Super Mario 64 DS. I can deal with less than ideal controls. SFIV on the iPhone might be a sort of impressive technical achievement, but it's easily the shittiest portable fighting game I own.

That's how I feel. I mean I'm not comparing it to PC or anything, but every time someone says "omg this 3D game is almost as good as the console equivalent -- amazing graphics too!" I find myself beyond underwhelmed both from a gameplay perspective and almost without exception a graphics perspective. Not saying these games suck, just not my cup of tea on many levels.Castor Krieg said:You are biased, but so am I. I cannot look at iPhone 3D games, simply because I play daily on PS3/X360.
Dude, it's just an early tech demo to show off the engine to developers and give users something free to do. The real sword game that they showed off using the engine is coming out later. Don't think too hard about it.Mejilan said:Epic Citadel does not run at a particularly high/smooth framerate, and it even dips at times. The graphics are gorgeous (especially with the higher textures in the iPhone 4 version when compared to the iPad or earlier iPhone devices), but considering that there's no gameplay of any kind; no action, no NPCs, no baddies, no AI, NOTHING at all to do, it kind of disappoints. The thing was probably a rush job for the Apple event, and I'm sure that it's missing tons of optimizations, and that as an engine, it's probably even going to change substantially as they continue to build a game with it. And it was free. So I'm not trying to shoot it down, exactly. But, despite the astonishing texture quality, I felt Epic Citadel left a lot to be desired as a technology demo.
It really is an embarassment of riches at this point.LaneDS said:The platform makes up for it in spades with clever 2D titles though.

You're being ridiculous. That's one of the most impressive tech demos I've ever seen. It was jaw dropping.Mejilan said:Yeah, I basically said as much.
I'm not. But I hold to my point that a tech demo would be more effective if said tech actually ran well.
Yep, thumbs up from me and I don't even really like actionpuzzlers, but it and Angry Birds are just pure class.McBacon said:That Cut the Rope is seriously good. The iPad edition (out tomorrow) has a free trial too, so you can see what we're all raving about.

The only mode it has is the only one it needs, destroy the earth and all humans. However as you get more powerups and get to higherlevels the harder it becomes, and you have to learn to manage time eating, destroying, above ground, below ground, etc or else the filthy humans will win. It gets really fun to try and go for planes.Porthos said:So, Super Mega Worm got a lite version today and I tried it out after hearing it mentioned on Weekend Confirmed and a few times in this thread. I only played to level 3 where I got the Spit power. I'll play some more later but I'm not sure how much the lite version gives you compared to the full version.
Anyways, it was fun but not great. What does the full version give you? Is it basically the same thing but with more added as time goes on? Do the power ups make it more fun? Also, any other game modes in the full version?
The iPhone version of Puzzle Agent has been updated to improve the graphic quality on most devices! Download it now from the App Store!

Still 99 cents!
Foob said:Yes! I've had it for a while, but have held off on playing it as some of the cut-scenes look rather shitty
randomlyrossy said:Yeah I was super disappointed with the graphics, they were just very odd. It was like a weird jpeg artifacting or something is the best way I can think to describe it.
I actually can't load up the game since the update though, get to the opening screen and load my game but then the screen just goes blank and that's it.
