Oh man, theres another Battle Bears? Sweet!

Does anyone know when the game WiNTA is gonna release? It's the next game release from the One Big Game publisher that releases stuff for charity.

It's supposedly being done by Masaya Matsuura who helped create PaRappa the Rapper, but I haven't heard anything on this one in a while.

It may resemble Kirby, but it plays nothing like Kirby. Hoggy is a fun game, definitely worth getting for free.

Saw this on Gizmodo - Cut The Rope

Bought the game

ITS EPIC, BUT IT

Has a real angry birds vibe about it, really creative, really addictive, good progression and a fuck ton on levels with additional ones on the way

and its 59p :o

Cut the Rope is cheery new physics-based puzzler for iPhones and iPod Touches in which you slice various ropes in an effort to feed candy to a green Miyazakesque monster. Uh, it makes more sense than that in action.

Whats the general consensus on SF4?

Absolute garbage.
Sub-par framerate, terrible controls, exceedingly dumbed down gameplay, tons of missing content. Honestly, the only thing I have to grudgingly admit in the game's favor is that the content updates that have added additional character (4 so far, IIRC), have been free. I think they're charging for the costume packs, though.

I'd advise to wait for the 3DS version of SSFIV or pick up SFA3 Max on the PSP or something. You could buy $10 really good iPhone games for the price of SFIV.

I hate you and I hate this thread. Every time I come into this thread I buy something :D

Thanks for the tip mate, now I'm addicted to another game!

Any comments on Piyo Blocs 2?

I'm on the fence as well.
I could wait for it to be free, though. :/
Great block matching game with a good selection of modes and OF support. Hopefully, it'll be updated with game center.

Even on iPhone 4?
There's nothing wrong with the framerate or anything on SF4, as long as you don't foolishly expect it to be an exact match of the console game.

Since the article was written today this is probably referring to another update for later this fall.
Weird. Could have sworn the BT multiplayer was already in.

Edit: durr reading comprehension for me. Updated BT multiplayer features.

I want to buy one of the monopoly apps, does anyone know which version is best?
They're both Monopoly but like the actual board games, it's about what style you want to play. For the most part you'll be satisfied with just one, and honestly either will do...I bought both when they were on sale for .99, and I honestly can't say which is "better" because they play so much alike.

World Edition is a bit more modern, with it's worldly cities and utilities/travel, as well as the trivia on the cards. But it plays identically to the regular Monopoly game. Sorry I can't make the decision easier, but it's up to you which holds more value, nostalgia or new coat of paint.

iPhone + GAF. Fucking over my productivity since 2008.

Time Geeks and Cut the Rope are sweet. Time Geeks had me since I noticed Moss from the IT Crowd in mission 1 :lol

Echoing this. Cut The Rope is fucking brilliant, easily the 'new Angry Birds' and certain to make an absolute packet. It's so damned cute, so addictive, so clever.

Yep, that's freaking awesome. The overall design is just brilliant

Check out also Trainyard Express, yesterday it was free. REally nice puzzle game.

BTW, I just completed my new game, release is due next monday if the approval goes well.
Is it ok if I post a couple of screenshots and info here?

Nova 2 is coming? should have guessed. The first one was quite impressive and played really well but that rip off cortana with shitty voice was so annoying, hope they fixed that this time around.

First screenshots from The Shadow Sun, a new RPG from the producer of Baldur's Gate II and the team behind Mysteries of Westgate. Fantasy with Arabian overtones and elements of Cthulu mythos. Includes choice and consequence, companions, Fable-style combat.

Finally got around to trying some of the stuff I picked up during that sale last week.

Peggle: good
Doom RPG 2: not feeling it
Castlevania puzzle thing: not feeling it
Mirror's Edge: this is pretty awesome
Phantasy Star II: how does this chug when you scroll the screen sideways?

Anyway, still happy with the prices I paid and all.

When is Dead Rising 2 out? That looks pretty sweet.

Out tomorrow morning:

I'm waiting on modern combat 2 before buying it, I bought the original the day the online update hit and had good fun but personally I don't think iron sight cod style gameplay works too well on a touchscreen, it was fun but iffy at points when playing on hard.

I wonder how well this will look and run on older devices too, I have a 2g touch so I get a little extra horsepower but I still imagine slowdown in many places with visuals like that.

After a few days I’ve gotten to play a few of the games I’ve bought. I’m holding off on both the MI games (in case MI1 gets retina support) and Puzzle Agent (same reason).

Zenonia 2 – I am really loving this game. It reminds me of old SNES games, yet has that Korean grindy flavor to it that I love. Music is fantastic. I’m currently stuck on the first boss which is an uncalled for difficulty spike if you ask me. So far the game has been easy and now all of a sudden I die in 3 hits.

Hybrid 2 – I’ve only played for 20 minutes at most. Storyline makes no sense whatsoever. Gameplay is kinda cool but TOO FAST. I went from full heath to almost dead in a matter of seconds. I’m sure I will enjoy this game as I put more time into it.

Real Racing – I normally don’t get into realistic driving games (I like arcade-style racing more) but I am having fun with this. The auto-break feature makes this very easy to get into and I’m having more fun when I don’t have to worry about it. Game also looks gorgeous on retina display. From what I can tell there aren’t any “better” cars to unlock, just paint jobs of the same 4 car types.

Geometry Wars Touch – I’ve never really played Geo wars outside of one round on my brothers PC. Seems like a pretty decent port, although I seem to remember getting gun upgrades on the PC version. My only complaint is that for as fast as crap flies at you, my thumbs seem to get in the way and give me almost no time to react.

Final Fantasy – I’ve played through the GBA port before but it’s fun to play it again. Touch controls are rather inaccurate, often causing me to double/triple tap things before they work. Still nothing game breaking.

Crimson Gem Saga – I am really impressed so far. To think I almost shelled out $40 for this on PSP when I got it for $5 here. Touch controls are great for walking around, but really obnoxious during menus and battles.

Peggle – I’m addicted as crap. Buying Peggle Nights for another dollar the other day was a no brainer.

Super Monkey Ball 2 – Controls great with tilt, I like the levels so far, very happy to have a full-fledged portable Monkey Ball.

Sonic 2 – Surprisingly enough the game I was the most worried about control wise has some of the most responsive controls yet. It took 5 some minutes for controls to become second nature and I was enjoying one of my favorite games.

DoDonPachi – The only SHMUP I’ve ever played was Ikaruga but I am blown away by this game. This game does drink my battery down like it’s water. Very fun and very frantic. I still don’t fully understand how a lot of the games systems work.

Robot Unicorn Attack – For 99 cents I purchased it just for the song alone. Thankfully the quick gameplay is addictive and fun to kill a minute with every now and then.

I'd urge you to try playing this game without assists. Not only is it essential for golds at higher difficulties, it's just more fun.

Agreed. It adds a little more to the game.

I'm having way more fun with Real Racing at $5 than I did with Gran Turismo on the PSP for $40.

I'm sure I'll get to that point. I have to at least get the hang of staying on the road first :lol

You might wanna pull the trigger on Puzzle Agent soon, because the sale only lasts for a week, which it has been soon.

Thanks for the answer. Now that I know they are so similar I'll buy the modern one since it's cheaper at the moment. I just wanted to make sure that one version wasn't crap over the other.

No I already have them, I am saying since they are kind of "play once" type of games I'd rather experience them with retina support.

I have more than enough games to keep me busy at the moment so there is no harm in waiting.
