I think I've spent like 15 hours on Game Dev Story, which is insane for an iPhone game. Are there any other games on the App Store that suck you in like that? Like maybe another tycoon style game?

Again, this is ok for a "video editing", or "audio mixer" app, that is not the app of an average casual user. But forcing the user to use an external PC application (or even if it's the iTunes file sharing, that is quite obscure) to copy again the same content that it's already in their iphones, in the iPod app, in a file format (not song format) is not the best option for a game.

It's not intuitive enough for a casual game. You dowload Audiosurf and there is no song in the library, even if you have it full of songs. You have to connect to iTunes (because the http file transfer option is even more difficult), go to apps, scroll down to the hidden app file sharing, and then copy the files of the songs to the icon of audiosurf. Also, each time that you update your songs, you have to manage manually the app file sharing, adding the new files and substracting the old ones.

So, music duplicated in the device, file management instead of song management, manual adding-substracting files, without any relation with the current tracklists that you have in your device... a lot of cons.

Again, iTunes is not needed, you don't have to do anything, just choose a track in the app.

(edit: it still copies it to its own 'memory' for processing/analyzing etc but this can be totally transparant to the user, as it pretty much already is in 1st Video)

How do I upload songs to Sonorasaurus Rex if I am not able to use iTunes or don’t have a USB cable handy?
Sonorasaurus Rex also has the HTTP Server option in the settings as an additional way to get tracks into your library. The following outlines how it works:
1. Make sure your iPad and computer with the songs you want to add are on the same WIFI network.
2. When you are in Sonorasaurus Rex click the ‘Settings’ button to access the HTTP Server.
3. Turn the HTTP Server ON and you will be given a unique address.
4. On your computer, type the unique address into a browser like Safari or Firefox.
5. A file upload screen will load in your browser window.
6. Use this interface to upload your tracks to the Sonorasaurus Rex User Library.

Yep, much simpler for the casual user

The tracks that you see has been already "imported" to the internal app song list.

Why can’t I access my iPod library with Sonorasaurus Rex?
Apple currently has restricted this type of access for applications like Sonorasaurus Rex on the iPad. The restriction may be lifted with the release of os4.2 this fall. If so we will bring in iPod library connectivity in a future update.

About RPG, the Quest is nearly Elder Scrolls in your iPhone, but with the combat system (turn based) of the old Eye of Beholder, Wizardry, Might & Magic, etc (but with only one character). It's my favorite WRPG in iPhone.

I didn't even reach the first expansion. This game is amazingly huge, even the "basic" version. About the fantasy card game, I played long time ago, it's something very basic to get some money in the taberns

I play it but careful, servers are up and down more then a yoyo and theres a lot of random character wipes going on due to the offline bugs, might want to go easy on the game for a little until they fix things.

I sincerely doubt that Capcom will update the app to take advantage of any of the new resolutions. It's a DS port so the resolution is terrible to begin with. It is still an amazing game that is worth picking up for a couple bucks anyways!

I bought it for 99 cents and it's a pretty decent poker game if you're looking for some poker fun on the go, I've sunk countless hours into it already and finally won my first WSOP. It's well worth 99 cents if you like poker, but since it's free, no reason not to now.

Three free games a day, not bad for demo play I guess.

I think its one of the best...alongside GeoDefense.

Crimson Gem Saga is ok, it's an psp port so you will get 40+ hours out of it, plays well, i'm still only about 5 hours in I have too many app's :lol

Correct, they added iPod library access in either 4.0 or 4.1. iirc it works by letting you copy the file from the library to the app sandbox (and maybe decompresses it to AIFF in the process, I forget) then the app can do whatever with the audio from that point, including waveform/beat analysis, editing, etc.

Just wish Taito would take advantage of it for Infinity Gene's generated levels.
