Just grabbed space miner hd, Plants vs Zombies & Baseball superstars 2010 hd as part of specials.
I see Mirrors edge is on sale. How is it?

Probably the best game I've played on the iPhone together with Carcassone, Tiny Wings and Plants VS Zombies.

Packs 20 and 21 are now out for Jubeat Plus. Like I said before, if you are limited to 2 packs ever for Jubeat Plus, GET PACKS 6 AND 20.
Done. Can you recommend any good packs for Taiko no Tatsujin?

tetris: i own it on both iphone and ipad. find it not only extremely playable but overall a very polished game.

and lol debating whether to purchase a 99cent game. we have become silly. no offense, self included.

Not sure where to ask this but what are some good/great comic readers for the Touch?
Comic Zeal is very good, but I just fired it up after a while away and I can't believe it's still not retina.

TapSonic (a game I've mentioned several times in this thread but it always gets ignore... not sure why) is getting a US version at some point in the near future. Official US Facebook group opened up and the company are pretty intent on bringing over all the Korean licensed songs if possible, along with all of the existing original songs and crossovers from DJMAX/2/Technika/Clazziquai/Black Square.

Game is excellent, although hopefully this time they'll market the game better. People are still too put off by the (very reasonably priced) pay-to-play model that the game takes for the most part.

In summary, if you've not already got the Korean version of the game... it may be wise to hold off for a while and get the US version, as I'm pretty sure any song tokens purchased in the Korean version won't be able to be transferred.

As an example of this oh-so-outrageously-priced pay-to-play model that people seemingly go out of their way to whinge about on the Korean AppStore:

Songs are either 15 points, 25 or 30 points to play (based on how long they are, but most songs are 15 points.) You are charged this each time you want to play the song. That seems unreasonable... but wait.

£5.99 gets you 10,000 points (which is the best value package). So for £5.99, you get at most 666 songs to play, which doesn't include the constant rotation of free songs they have available that changes at least once a week. Or, you get at least 333 songs, which are all full length Korean licenses (as well as some US licenses and EU licenses at the minute).

So yeah, expect it to stay the same when TapSonic hits the US AppStore. They did a promotion in the Korean store for the first few months where if you downloaded the game for free it would come with 300 points attached to it, however the main problem they ran into was that most of the game (similar to how DJMAX functions) was locked away and needed more than 300 points to access (4 button mode is available from the start, 10 song plays to unlock 5 button mode, 40 to unlock 6 button mode, most songs have to be unlocked sequentially, however the licensed songs are accessible at all times) leading to many bad reviews purely because of the aforementioned pay to play model.

Anyway, will let a video speak for itself, the game is awesome:

I just noticed this on the App Store: Tower Defense®: Lost Earth By Com2uS Inc.

Have Com2uS seriously trademarked the term "tower defense"? What are people going to refer to their tower defense games as now? That's insane.

Now that I purchased some things on the app store (via PC) it is asking for my credit card info on my iphone (it imported it all, minus the security code) when I'm trying to download free apps. Is there any way around this? I don't like having this info on my phone.

Wow, you should be a game critic.

I'm just a sucker for risk/reward structures, and doing well in Gravity Hook always means being on the cusp of failure.

Yeah you too since you're review consisted of "It's a classic"

Bottom line is if I don't find it fun, it has failed as a game and I find it hard to believe that the studio that brought out Canabalt brought out this drek.

Security feature, Everytime you restore or use your account on a new device you have validate your CC info by inputting the code.

There is no way to not have it store your CC info on the device even if you only plan on purchasing free stuff.

Just thought I'd say that Harbour Master is one of the games I keep returning to (on the iPad). It's almost like the Tetris of touch games, with its simple mechanics, and the way in which it starts calmly and becomes more and more frantic. Just... one... more... go...

Been playing Infinity Blade multiplayer a bit with a few friends and while I was slightly underwhelmed when I first tried it out, I dig it now and it's an absolute blast (and it's even more fun when you're in the same room). What also surprised me is that the 'netcode' is really really good and the multiplayer worked very well via 3G even while I was on the train where my connection was pretty spotty.

Also, once again SRSLY CHECK OUT SUPERSONIC I LUV IT (FREE on iPhone)

Well argued. Touché!

I have wasted much of the day on Space Miner HD. It's basically Asteroids with RPG elements, so it's easy to get really addicted, and well worth .99 cents.

That puzzle app is still #1 on the store? Why is it so huge right now? It looks pretty bland, block puzzles, woo. Is it the new thing I should get or what...

Apps at #1 are more likely to stay #1 due to visibility I imagine. It's pretty bland IMO. Production values are nice but it's just a 4-in-1 puzzle compilation basically. I wouldn't recommend it.

everyone keeps raving about the game.. but the gameplay looks kinda bland... it doesnt seem much different than just regular asteroids with touch screen controls that probably make it more difficult.

is it actually that good?

Actually they did this YEARS ago and has been enforced for a while. People get around it by calling their games "TD", like Bloons TD.

With WWDC looming, I can't be the only iOS user here extremely excited to see the platform's direction. Hopefully I won't get in trouble for this, but I'd love (as, I'm sure, would many others) for any generous GAF developers to register UDIDs in spare slots for those of us who just can't really afford to shell out $100 for beta access at the moment. I'd love to give the betas a try to do my bit to smooth out bugs. Shame I don't own a mac, or I probably would have tried iOS development for myself by now :/

Yeah, I saw.

I should trademark the term "First Person Shooter" and then stop people making them or they have to pay me to say that that's what their game is.

They could say it's an FPS game.

They have. It's a seriously shitty thing to do, designed to purely gain money, and means that I won't be buying their Tower Defense game. Apparently it's utterly mediocre anyway. Even TouchArcade - who are sponsored by them this month - couldn't bring themselves to give it a glowing review.

Gravity Hook is wonderful. If I would have known it was this good I would have bought it a long time ago; instead, I let all the negative reviews steer me away at the time.

I just found out some COCKSUCKER made two $19.99 "1.5 million chips" in-app purchases on my account for some "Texas Poker" app which I don't even have.

I went on Apple's support forums and there are indeed many threads with tons of people who have been similarly jacked.

Check your Apple ID accounts and balances, everyone...

Apple better reimburse me quick or

I thought you got an email a day after each purchase. Did that not happen with IAP?

Comic Zeal is the best one no doubt but if you want one for free Comic Flow is pretty nice.
Comic flow sucks due to the limitations on organization. Comic Zeal is ok but has its own issues and costs far more than any other options, which tend to make me think the only reason Comic Zeal supporters are as... zealous about it is because they have to justify their purchase and refuse to pay again for a competing reader.

Comicglass is really good and has a ton of options and a couple ways of avoiding itunes to get comics on (moreso if you're on a mac). Bookman, which used to be free but now has ads unless you pay, is great at organizing and lets you FTP comics over; that said, it has issues with zooming. If you want free then the ad-supported Bookman is the way to go. If you don't mind paying I'd start with Comicglass.

Yeah, the charges showed on the email receipt I got today.

Yesterday, I redeemed a $50 card and bought "Carcassonne."

I tried to buy "NBA Jam" today and found out I had insufficient funds and you know the rest...
