Oh Jesus. If you could just take your own advice, this forum would be a better place. Everytime I see you post you're elbow-deep in a a semantical argument about bullshit.
Now THAT'S some bullshit.
The poster I was referring to was trying to tell people what they should or shouldn't care about...

Holy, this thread turned into crap. Who really gives a shit about how well Apple is doing, how well Google is doing. Those companies don't give a shit about you. You're not even arguing about the benefits of the phones you use, you're arguing business, of which you should have no concern.
Gee, thanks for telling me that business NEWS is not anyone's concern. Someone please inform the Wall Street Journal, Forbes, and Bloomberg that we know longer need their services anymore.
...and he was also trying to dictate what they should or shouldn't post about...

Unless you own stock or the company is in such trouble that it threatens your products, stfu. Even if you own stock, no one gives a shit about your puny five figure portfolio.
I don't do that. Look at what Marty and I were discussing. I never told Marty he shouldn't be allowed to post his thoughts, and to his credit, I don't think he did that to me either. I just disagreed with something he said, which he later clarified. There was some back-and-forth banter, but it was harmless, and Marty is certainly no stranger to some verbal jousting.
I was just telling the poster that instead of trying to dictate what others discuss or what others should care about, maybe he should ignore the sub-topics that he doesn't care about.
This is, after all a thread devoted to the entire iPhone 4, not just one particular aspect of it. Some folks might be interested in the financials behind the iPhone 4, and the business aspect is certainly an important part of that broad picture of the product.
Yes, I certainly may argue with someone over a point if I disagree with it, but I don't just go around trying to dictate to people what they are allowed to care about, or what they are allowed to comment on. It's interesting that you came along to support him in his quest to censor discussion about business news or comments about business matters though. I guess there's a white knight for everybody, and you guys are certainly entitled to your opinion.
