Integration like that with the lock screen makes it instawin, love the location based reminders too, but I imagine it'd destroy your battery life?

Also a real shame you won't be able to pull up the lists on a website, and add to them etc. I'm always adding to Wunderlist using the web app.

Doesn't Wunderlist crash a lot on you?

It's in the beta, it does not have list sharing as far as I can tell and probably won't by release time. It's a very very basic to-do list app.
Thought that'd be the case, sadly. Whilst I love simplicity I have a really bad feeling there is going to be one killer feature in particular that will be missing, and will render the app useless for me.

It is a little glitchy, unfortunately, but I haven't found anything better.

It seems to have a really good team behind it too, so for now I'm sticking with it. The constant updates and generally nice interface made me switch from Zenbe to Wunderlist and I hope I won't have to do the same in the future. Really wish it gave you the option to leave completed tasks ticked at the bottom of the page though :@

Of course the more things stored in RAM, the more the battery will drain. 3G has a waaaay greater impact on battery life and if you care about the longevity of your battery/daily charge, only use 3G when you need to. Just remember to keep the phone away from microphones.

really? I thought it only depended on if those background apps were doing things, like downloading or streaming. If they're not, won't they be suspended and not using any CPU, just kept in RAM for fast switching?

Ja, I never close apps 'properly' - but I always turn airplane mode on when I go to bed, and my phone's battery doesn't move even 1%.

Is there a good iPhone 4 case out there that acts as a portable charger, and also has a built in screen protector like the Otterbox Defender series case?

I remember when they charged for an update a long time ago.

What a complete and utter joke that was. Fuck you for wanting money to fix your own system!

how does the 3GS stack up for casual use? Good offer at the moment with O2 for a free refurb 3GS on a 100MB, low minutes plan for £13.50 a month.

3GS is a great phone, fantastic. Still powerful enough for the demanding games. I used one for a year solid and it was a top, top phone. I'm on an iPhone 4 now.

And it's still current, still supported and still available.

Is there an app that notifies me on sales/special discounts on app store?

Just got camera+ for 99c, as I checked app store on a whim.

AppShopper notifies you of apps that you add to wishlist. Haven't had an iPhone for a while so not sure if you can use for for weekly deals on random apps though.

I find mine chugs a little if it's trying to do too much (listening to music stutters if I load a new link from Twitter for example) - but mine's pushing two years old now so it might just be old age.

Is this any use to you? £200 cashback: http://www.quidco.com/orange-contract-phones-sims/?ac

thats where I started :) but it works out at £16 per month. O2 have refurbs for £13.50 a month with free phone. Only a few pounds more than my wife is paying on PAYG (she tops up £10 a month to get the vodafone web pack)

Chiming in to say that Instagram got an update (up to v. 2.0).
As if it was not already the best camera app, now it shoots pictures in high res (before it was 612x612, now it's 1936x1936), has 4 new filters, ALL the filters are blazing fast and they can be applied live before you take the picture.
It's simply fucking amazing.

Instagram in the Appstore.

On the other hand, yesterday I got Put Things Off, a task manager that's super intuitive and that works wonderfully, letting you *put things off* with just a couple of touches.
Check it out in the Appstore. I think it's really, really cool.

I also got in touch with the developer this morning asking about an iPad version. He was very nice and fast replying back, and said he's working on it, and that it will probably use the iCloud features to keep both the iPhone and iPad apps synched.

No idea if this is the right place to ask, but my pre-iPhone 4 iPhone has recently started telling me that it has no SIM card installed. It jumps back and forth between "SIM card installed" and "No SIM." Is there anything I can do to "fix" this or is it just my phone dying?

hey guys, my android phone just died and i was wondering if I can sync my google contacts with an iphone 4 if I get one. Anybody know if this is possible, and can I then store any numbers I add back with all of my google contacts?

ok Gaf I need some input here. My iPhone 4 had about 50% charge on Sunday afternoon when I went to the store. While I'm in the store, I decide to make a phone call. But here's the problem, my phone didn't turn on. No matter what I did the phone didn't turn on. I tried holding down the power button, I pressed the home button several times and nothing. So I head home to try and charge my phone and nothing. So several hours later, I tried again to turn on, press the home button and charge my phone. Still the screen stayed black and my phone didn't respond. So I call Verizon to get a replacement phone and it finally arrived today. But when I pick up my old iPhone to put it in the box to return it, I figured I would try to turn the phone on one more time and it turned on! I was really shocked to see that it turned on but with 10% battery power left. So the question is what should I do? Send back the old one and keep the refurbished one or keep the old one and send back the refurbished one? What would you do?

Do you guys recommend Another World (aka Out Of This World)? Looks pretty badass. It appears to be a really old PC/SNES game that I've never heard of.
Presentation looks awesome for a SNES game. Can't imagine what it would have been like playing that back in the day on me old SNES.

Dude... that is an old game, and an awesome one at that! It was a PC game, but I'm not sure if it ever came out on the SNES.

Some impressions about the iOS port on page 152 of this thread.

Still return the old phone. Verizon is aware of your problems of the old phone. So it would be pointless to return the new and you don't even know when those problem will present itself again. It could be intermittent...

I'm looking to buy a gps for my car and was wondering if using my iPhone 4 was a viable option. I'd be interested in getting a cradle to put on my dashboard so that my phone can charge at the same time. Anyone have any experience with this? What are the best options out there?
