So, the best podcasts on the Internet are by Jesse Thorn. www.maximumfun.org
His job is a PRI show called The Sound Of Young America. He does a stellar job curating it, focusing mainly on comedy, hip-hop, and less self-serious authors. http://feeds.feedburner.com/tsoya
Do you like Community? Donald Glover's here. http://media.libsyn.com/media/tsoya/tsoya091208_donaldglover.mp3
Amazing puns? Sarah Vowell has them. http://media.libsyn.com/media/tsoya/tsoya0810278_sarahvowell.mp3
Skeptical of hip-hop? The Bun B interview's brilliant. http://media.libsyn.com/media/tsoya/tsoya090504_bunb.mp3
He's not in the highest tier of interviewers quite yet, but the man has time and tons of talent.
He also does a comedy podcast akin to his college comedy show ( http://feeds.feedburner.com/collegeyears My favorite: http://media.libsyn.com/media/collegeyears/cy0705404_020418.mp3 Try the Hanna-Barbera sketch, at least.) called Jordan, Jesse, Go. It's the funniest podcast there is. Jordan, his co-host and contributor to FuelTV's The Daily Habit, could nerd out comfortably here (Fatal Fury Special references, for instance).
Need evidence? http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/thornmorris/~5/T9gXAxZzJ9k/jjgo100322_ep128.mp3 (5:40-12:31 is pretty much what the best shows are like)
http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/thornmorris/~5/nyPvSnc8_ZU/jjgo080527_ep62corrected.mp3
http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/thornmorris/~5/5iYuK-_yYSs/jjgo090112_ep86.mp3
http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/thornmorris/~5/WwVkdu0IaKU/jjgo070501_ep21.mp3 Listen from episode 1, I think. There are callbacks!
Unfortunately, the Penny Arcade people's agent didn't know the difference. They're on a book tour, you know. She booked them on the comedy show instead of the interview show without their knowledge, and they, uh, didn't enjoy themselves.

Jesse just released the episode. http://media.libsyn.com/media/thornmorris/jjgothelostepisode.mp3 *cringe* Open hostility starts around 15 minutes, wanes, and then finishes strong!
Basically, Jordan and Jesse recognized the misunderstanding and regretted it and 1 of the Penny Arcade people offered a half-apology and related that they were tired and grumpy. Penny Arcade people thought they were there for an interview and ended up with hipsters, while Jordan and Jesse thought they were there to laugh and ended up with dour nerds. So, why post it? (My opinions follow, not Jesse's.)
1. It actually ends up being as funny as trainwrecks can be.
2. I thought it'd be better to contextualize it before someone else did.
3. It's a good reminder that certain gamers don't know how to act in public. Presumably, most of us would ask if we were being pranked, at which point the misunderstanding could be resolved. So, don't be socially awkward. Okay, all? Lesson learned.
4. Because the Penny Arcade people couldn't get Rian Johnson, Maria Bamford, or Andrew W.K. to THEIR convention. And they're Internet-famous!
5. It's a perfect excuse to get people to listen to Jesse's shows at least once. So, please do. Podcast GAF would love it, I think.
