I appreciate an in depth tutorial, even if it goes back to complete basics.
I hate missing out on minor systems in a fighting game because they weren't explained properly..
Aye, even though it'll be a bit basic for many of us, I agree, better to start off basic, then start off too in depth! If KoF XIII helps ease neophites into fighters in general, that's 1 more reason for a casual player to pick the game up, "You, this'll even teach you how to play Street Fighter and Mahhhvel bettah!"

What you talkin' about kiddo? * Pulls up pants *
*innocent whistling* Is it bad that I can never see "Kid!" or "Kiddo!" without thinking about SF1's Sagat's vocal victory quote?

Man i am loving all the changes they are making to the home version .
Much agreed. I expecially love it when depth is given to an existing moveset; watching individual presses get more unique uses, or watching an accute adjustmeent of move properties. As little as I play BB, I also appreciate how much variety they give the same moves, but with different button presses.

Clark's autogaurd looks sooo fun to play with.
Btw. I remember someone talked about Maxima's Way to get meter with backdash -> j.qcb.A/C. Was it confirmed to not be in the console version?
The autoguard is such a funny, but effective change. Should help bring back his on-wakeup mixup potential, which I'm rather happy about.
I attempted the Maxima gauge trick myself, but without arcade experience, I can't say I was doing it RIGHT, to test it. (Might have been too ealy, of course.) I've rarely even seen American players attempt it (or to play Maxima), so hopefully, we can get some concrete testing on this during the JP demo setup events in Japan!

I had an odd dream, where more info on XIII was revealed... Raiden had a "LOL Raiden!" Variation (ultimate troll character), that walked all upright, and slurching forward... he was animated as if he was drunk/high, with a very blitzed look about him. The game also revealed Yamazaki (who became more insane as his charged his snake arm move... at max charge, he's whip his arm in an arch, while going insane), and some messed up "Clone Ryo" form, who looked as if he just jumped out the cloning vats, and wanted to fight... but had a gut! (I blame exibitionist Saiki for this!)
Upon waking... I was sad to see
at least Yama wasn't real, lol.
