These three artwork pictures are great
So what can they tell us? Judging by the first or second picture, it can maybe be assumed that we will have to scavenge for food (probably more like a set game goal - controlled narrative, rather than having gameplay aspect built around it). And that the gameplay could be oriented around the bonfire (like finding places where you will sleep, etc.)? Or again, sleeping will only be scripted for certain events? Probably the latter. Still the first artwork gives me slight hope that maybe the game will aim for wholeness. What I mean by that is that the game will not be split into level like chapters, but that you will truly experience and be inside that journey which they are undertaking. Although due to the cinematic approach this idea could also be questioned. I guess the game will be most similar to Enslaved regarding the progress from one location to another.
Second artwork The gameplay will have hide and seek elements. Obviously. Though I wonder how much will you be fighting/avoiding humans versus zombies. The most boring thing about hide and seek is trial and error, which I doubt is the route the game will take. But then again, Uncharted did not excel in this area as well, even if it had a rather lenient approach to it. So I really wonder if they will find a way to make this gameplay aspect more polished and fun. Please do so.
What I am most excited about the third picture are animals. Again, as was already mentioned, hunting them for food? Probably not happening (if the cinematic approach is the goal, you most likely want to reduce all the unnecessary game like clutter, in the vein of ICO or SOTC). Although, these areas will prove to be nice contrast between cities. Maybe sections with driving functional vehicles between areas?
