The Naruto Anime Ending is the worst handled anime ending I've seen

I actually liked the wedding arc at the end. it was fun and had some great comedic moments, and the part with Iruka at the end was sweet. I do wish we had more Naruto and Hinata moments, and while the previous novel arcs weren't bad, they felt pretty damn unnecessary.

Remember Negima, where Akamatsu had some fight with Kodansha because they supported some new copyright law in Japan, where the publisher would be the lone copyright holder so he rushed the ending?

They literally skipped a final arc in order to finish Negima, but then Akamatsu decided to make UQ holder to kind of sort of finish it on his own terms

LUL, Naruto and Bleach...

How about Ranma 1/2? She couldn't even end the manga well much less get the anime to end satisfyingly.

The anime didn't end because the studio (Kitty) went out of business. That said, the manga ending was done well enough IMO. It's a little open ended, but it's pretty clear that everything was sorted. Pairs were paired, no major plot points left open, etc.

Not sure how the manga ended, but maaaan, it had to be better than the anime ending of Chrono Crusade.

Something something you're gonna die anyway, something something you can never defeat Aion because prophesy, something something Joshua will forever remain a child even as his body ages, something something prophesy of Fatima.

Bleach says hi.

Yep. End thread.

We went from this

bleach-opening-1-o.gif

to that trash ending, both trash endings.

You can probably look up a filler list and just skip those episodes. I recommend watching The Last since the anime skips over it probably expecting people to have seen it.

OMFG

I forgot about this.

The anime ending assumes you know Naruto and Hinata are a couple either from the manga ending or "The Last" movie.

The only interaction you get with them being "close" before the wedding arc in the anime is him helping her stand and smiling at her

Then they're suddenly getting married....

Man,Fuck you Pierrot.

I still wonder what happened behind the scenes. I mean the law didnt come to fruition and for UQ Holder he is still working with Kodansha.

I just wish UQ Holder would finish some storylines that were never really finished (like the Martian girl from the future).

Man i loved Chrono crusade ending

The Naruto anime became unwatchable on a week to week basis after the original Naruto vs Sasuke battle in Part 1.

Nothing but filler everywhere. It's ok if you skip literally half of the episodes that come after.

His and her circumstances. The first half or more of that show was so damn good and the quality and budget took a complete nosedive in the second half and ended horribly.

I really need to check out the manga that actually ends it properly sometime.

I'll agree that the ending to og Naruto is garbage, but I can't agree with Shippuden. The final 5-6 episodes are great, and the Rock Lee episode being a personal standout. The animation is spectacularly goofy, and the episode is just charming all around. If the filler arcs in Naruto were anywhere near as good as this one the series overall would be way more watchable.

All you had to mention was the filler (that were pretty good filler) then just skip those and watch the canon eposodes, itachi garden however isn't filler and is based off the novel but they weirdly put it during the final battle before Naruto V sasule5

Wow. Didn't know they went that far.

Form afar I always thought it insane that there was still filler after the Manga ended. The fuck?

Also the last arc shouldn't really allow filler.

I've always hated how One Piece doesn't have Filler Arcs since Thriller Bark anymore. One Piece is perhaps the anime most suitable for filler arcs as there isn't a constant world-ending threat that would make filler adventures dumb, plus them going island to island and finally there being tons of different factions.

But if it prevents what happen with Naruto maybe it's for the best.

Who am I kidding? The pacing of the anime with filler arcs is so horrible it's almost unwatchable.

I liked Episode 25 and thought the movie was an amazing emotional gutpunch. I have no idea why you think anything was ruined.

Come at me, bro.
The relationship between Okabe and Kurisu is backtracked in episode 25, then backtracked again in the movie.

To punctuate this, the movie even ends with them facing away from each other and further apart, while the original ending has them staring into each other's eyes right next to each other.

Like, in a vacuum they're great, but each one detracts more from the original ending than the last.

I'll wait for Naruto Kai, the filler hell they injected in this was out of control.

Yeah, looking back, Naruto's filler episodes were mostly trash, and so fucking invading.

I have no idea as I say this, but I'm sure there's more filler episodes than actual canon episode. they were months over months of fillers, that shit was sickening.

I've found the final fillers to be enjoyable. The ashura and indra was good, Shikamaru one wasnt the best. Sasuke Sasuke good. The wedding was great. Good to see more time with some characters that were missing since a long time ago and the final episode, with Naruto asking for iruka to act like his father att his wedding and the movie with eceryone congratulating him was heartwarming. I've found to be better than the abrupt one from the manga.

So, i disagree.

Samurai Champloo was pretty bad IMO. These 3 peeps went on some amazing ass adventure, and then in the final 5 min they are all like, "k lol bye, see u later" Like wtf, these peeps went thru so much shit n then say bye and never see each other again in like 5 min?

They fulfilled their promise and went their separate ways. What else were they gonna do together?

Is the filler any good? I like a lot of the character building moments and was looking to get into a massive anime series again. I stopped watching Naruto around Sasuke and Naruto's first big fight.

the manga ending was kinda shitty too. plus they introduced this other aspect of the world and never did anything with it. i hated the ending to rozen maiden.

Personally the ending of the manga is one of my favorites specifically because of them introducing that aspect of the world and doing nothing with it. Provided the whole thing a sense of scale you don't see normally.

The actual ending of the manga airs...but it's not actually the ending of the series no, they decided to adapt the novels which are just glorified filler episodes to keep milking the anime

I pretty much agreed with you in almost everything except this. The novels serves the purpose to bridge the end of the war with the epilogue, handles some loose ends of the manga and In my opinion handles characterization way better than Pierrot or even Masashi ever did.

I still pretty salty that they didn't adapted neither Kakashi's nor Sakura's novel.

BTW, some of the extra story in UNS4 comes from the novels.

I recommend you to sit down, and read Itachi's novels, Pierrot bastardized it.

About the way Pierrot handled Naruto, I believe too that the anime should have ended in 2015, not in 2017.

But I'm pretty ok with The Last and Boruto the movie.

FUN FACT: After Shippuden ended I started to believe that the plan was to end with 700 episodes all along since the manga has 700 chapters.

So if you thing about it, if Pierrot adapted a chapter per episode we could have a filler free anime adaptation with a pretty low pace lol

tldr: Las novelas son canon mi amigo/ As novelas sao canon meu amigo.

Bleach's (anime) ending is pretty awful too. All that massive build up to fight Aizen, and it's one of the most anti-climactic final battles in Shonen history.

edit: First post. Goddamn it yet again...

Sorry, just to clarify, was Shippuden the portion of Naruto that covered those insane 300 or something filler episodes?

I can't get that mad, because well, Naruto turned to shit, so it's ultimately whatever.

I felt bad for my friend though. He only watches the anime. My friends and I finished the manga about 2 years before the anime finally fucking ended. The only last good part about the anime was them going all out with the Naruto v. Sasuke battle.
That shouldn't have happened anyways if Sasuke wasn't such an asshat.

You just know the actual One Piece is gonna be a huge let down though.

One Piece will have a great ending I'm sure. As for what One Piece is... Well, yea, it's virtually impossible for it to live up to expectations. But hey, if AoT could do it with its basement reveal, maybe there's hope yet...

Katekyo Hitman reborn, Bleach ending both sux a lot
Reborn had the worst ending ever but it really wasnt the authors fault i think shonen jump wanted to pull the plug on the series, shame i enjoyed reading it. Really wish we got more english volumes.

Pretty simple solution: Don't watch the anime filler. Consider the anime to be on hiatus or something.

Edit: You're right about the movies. It's like they expect you to be a fan or something and be following the source.

That's what I did when I decided to finally come back and finish the series. Skipped ALL the filler then watched as much of the post-finale stuff that interested me until I got bored and bounced off. I just treated that like an optional epilogue. That said, I had the benefit of waiting months after it ended. Still haven't watched the movies.

I can't quite describe how good it felt to skip filler. Even when it was just fast forwarding through episodes with flashbacks. It felt like I was getting one up on the show and had beat it at some game lol. Such a weird feeling to have for a show you're enjoying.

Be the bestest of friends? Like if I went through shit like that with ppl I'd at least like to keep up with them now n then. Idk, i found it incredibly unsatisfying. At least spend 1 episode dealing with good byes. lol

How about the anime ending for Kare Kano (His & Her Circumstances)? They didn't actually end anything, they just simply stopped animating new episodes half way through a story arc.

Nah, filler is always terrible. Only exception I make is for One Piece, and even that pushes it.

It was pretty unsatisfying, but not necessarily terrible.

Yup.

I have faith that Oda's imagination and spirit will carry him into delivering a good One Piece ending. Dude hasn't really slowed down in 20 years, while all the other big shonen manga showed serious fatigue well before their disappointing endings. Naruto's ending was bad but the rot set in waaaaaaay earlier. The entire 4th Shinobi War was pretty awful, the continual focus on Sasuke's crappy drama, etc. Even Dragon Ball ran out of steam, imo...by Toriyama's own admission, the series should have ended after Frieza. The android story was good, Cell stuff was ok, but Majin Buu was just too silly and long-winded for me. One Piece, on the other hand - I feel like Oda isn't going to disappoint us.

Their friendship wasn't that deep or anything. They just developed a mutual respect for one another. The point of the ending was they all moved on from their pasts onto better things.

Naruto and Bleach I watched back when they first aired and quit both when the filler started.

That's when I realized on-going shows that have no end in sight are not for me. Many, many friends tried to convince me to watch One Piece as well but I simply despise the idea of following a story that's being written as we go.

Agreed. Though I might take it a step further and argue that one of the more disappointing aspects of the show was that there never appeared to be an gradual growth in the relationships of the three lead characters. With most anime, characters tend to become more caring towards one another as the series goes on, but I never got that impression with Samurai Champloo, with the exception of the final two episodes maybe.

Was Charlotte's manga ending as bad as the anime? Cause I felt like they literally crammed a second season into a single episode (with results like you'd expect).

I really liked that anime up until then which made it all the more disappointing.

Oh god, Charlotte was one of the worst things I've ever watched, especially due to that ending.

The studio clearly did not respect the fanbase, the way they treated the whole series was a kick in the nuts to Naruto fans. The filler rate was like around +40% for the whole series. What kind of series have almost half the episodes be filler episodes and there were tons of in episode fillers and things to drag the episode on. Why do you think they always show the same damn flashbacks and stuff?

They don't respect the viewers.

Well... One piece has been much worse since the time Skip, so i wouldn't hold on to that.

And Charlotte was pretty bad, yeah. A shame cause i liked the idea and the first episodes.
