What more do you people want? For Capcom and Clover to cry blood into a goblet and serve it to you atop the Altar of Pure Divinity, only for you to yet still knock it away and demand their very soul essences?

An action RPG with genuine humour and emotion. A game described as being "perhaps too big". One of the most amazing visual art styles in a game ever, heaped in cultural references. A brand new original title with no generic attatchments.

Other than "lol no 80's franchise created character as lead" or "i dont get to wave my arm about while playing", I just dont see what more people could want from a videogame! WHAT MORE CAN THEY GIVE.

I'm all over Okami. On the National Day of Awesome, that is September 5th, Okami has earned the privilege of being the first game my hands grasp and the first that I plunge into my PS2, over quite a few other destined-to-be-awesome titles. From all that I've seen so far, my preemptive and completely unsupported prediction is that if any game will be able to challenge FFXII for GOTY, it'll be Okami.

I actually won't be surprised if Okami ends up becoming one of the best games of this gen, I just think all the vids of the game look that good. The crazy positive impressions help a bit too.

Dunno. All the retail sites recently changed the date of Okami from Sep 1 to September 5th, iirc, which is usually an indication that it's the final ship date since it's a Tuesday. No retail site I can see has Okami listed for anything except September 5th.

Okay, well if that's what they meant, then I agree. At any rate, it's common to see people ignore Majora's Mask and Wind Waker (both of which actually *gasp* developed characters) when criticizing Zelda's lack of focus on characterization and story, so....

Picking Okami up day 1, anyhoo, although it will have to compete with TP for my gaming time. :lol
