There is still friendship between them, but it's just when it is needed. Other than that, it's the schtick between all three of them. He's the asshole boss and Mordecai/Rigby are the slackers.

Really surprised that Mordecai actually took a swing at Benson!

Episode overall was really good. They did it right with the training for the contest to win a hat. Lol.

I've caught up with this show and I have to say it is brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. It has a wonderful mix of retro and modern style and a firm grasp on storytelling despite episodes often drifting into an almost abstract absurdity. J.G. Quintel is speaking to people close to his age with this show, more people need to listen.

This is the realest "kids" cartoon ever made.

The last couple of episodes have had some uncomfortable true to life moments mixed in with all the slapstick.

Benson finally blowing up and letting the two know his honest thoughts on them.

Mordecai getting his crushed dragged out into the open like that.

Benson just getting clocked out of nowhere by Mordecai when he went too far.

And is it just me or is it seeming less like comedy and more like Benson and M+R truly don't like each other?

Just wanted to say I nearly jumped out of my chair and cheered when Mordecai punched Benson in the face. How many kids shows, heck, how many comedies IN GENERAL feature protagonists who are willing to stand up for themselves? In most comedies the protagonists usually let the antagonist endlessly crap all over them while accidentally bumbling their way to victory. Not this show. This isn't the first time Benson was stood up to, just that as in real life, it finally got physical. It's one of the things I love most about the show, honestly. Any other show, animated or live action, Mordecai would have just took Benson's comment in stride like it's a given and totally let him get away with it. Any other show and Margaret wouldn't know Mordecai liked her until YEARS later ie: Niles and Daphne. Not this show, my friends. It's a cartoon yet it's making a lot of sitcoms look stupid in comparison.

Anyways, amazing episode, especially Benson getting punched, the brawl in the restaurant and the Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade tribute. Brilliant!

I agree. I was shocked when I saw that Mordercai punched the shit out of Benson. I said to myself, "WOW". Definitely something you don't see in cartoons.

That was an awesome moment. And it really made me have a lot respect for mordecai as a character. With all the wacky ass shit that happens on the regular, mordecai not taking his shit was a fantastic moment. Mainly because I hate that benson has free reign to be a dick for the most part.

Finished the new episode. Why is it Muscle Man episodes always have such gross scenes? Those photos the execs were looking, *shudders*.
Strange concept too. A gut model for pregnant women. How did this show not get on Adult Swim?

i guess it flies just under the radar. what kinda concerns me is the death thing. its a common occurrence, but no one seems to have a problem with it. i guess they can always bring them back no rules style, but its still odd

I think this is probably the weakest episode, right now. Granted, I got started with the Ducklings and Weekend at Benson's, but I've seen most of the episodes at this point and this is the only one that didn't really make me laugh.

Well, Mordecai and Rigby's dance was funny, but that was in the previews for the past week.

The new episode was OK. It reminded me about the graveyard zombie movie episode in the sense that the episode wasn't funny, but it was entertaining to watch. The general message the episode portrayed was cool.

Yeah, definitely a weak episode, but that dance was straight-up Mighty Boosh.

During last night's episode I was thinking to myself, "nothing surreal or out of this world has happened yet, odd". Then the giant frying oil monster appeared :P Episode was ok overall. I do agree with everyone else though, and for pretty much the same reasons, that "Eggscellent" and "Butt Dial" were terrific episodes.

This DVD set and the Adventure Time sets are getting a lot of (deserved) hate because they're just random episodes tossed onto a DVD set (AT even has Nightosphere on BOTH SETS) without being full seasons.

It seems to be the usual CN crap of putting out just a few episodes on a disc or two instead of a full season, which, as much as I love RS, I'm not supporting.

At least we're finally getting a full season of Adventure Time, but how likely is it that we'll get a full season set of Regular Show?

In the interview that I posted, Mr. Quintel mentions that CN wanted them to do a collection of episodes first before they release a season 1 DVD. It'll come.

As far as I can tell neither Adventure Time set is actually a season. It's just selected episodes from what's been on so far.

Honestly, I'd be more likely to cave if these were put on Blu-ray. I watch them in HD and it just isn't the same.

Love it when Mordecai (sure I butchered that name) was singing about his girl while driving the golf cart and ended up leaving a voicemail.

Trash Boat.
To be fair, Rigby did deserve the humiliation (up until the time travel part).

Trash Boat :lol :lol :lol

EDIT:

the preview for next week's episode made me laugh so hard.

Skips meditating and Mordecai and Rigby bustin' out with the tune "We know you're home Skips, pick up the phone please" :lol :lol

Trash Boat was great! The commercials for it were really funny and the episode did not disappoint! Solid episode!

Hahaha, damn that was pretty crazy! That guardian got it good!

Pretty great episode!

Edit:

Rap It Up is the next episode! One of the GREATEST episodes ever!

This week's episode was awesome. CJ was such a cool character. Hopefully this isn't the last time we of her. Margarette being jealous was a shocker too!

West Coast peeps, new episode is on right now!

EDIT:

DAT Benson breakdown!

Fantastic episode! Loved it. ;)

The silent "woaaaaaaaah" made me laugh so badly.

Who knew Death had such a nice place? Haha!

Fantastic episode. Mordecai's sarcastic/nervous smile was the best as was Rigby's face after the book incident. Hahahahaha.

This show's amazing. After just about 2 episodes, I managed to get my older sister and younger brother hooked as well.

Probably our favorite cartoon currently airing at the moment.

Man, not enough gifs in this thread.
