I am just quoting the youtuber who actually played and finished the game:
And multiple gaffers that have beaten the game have said he's full of shit.
I am just quoting the youtuber who actually played and finished the game:
There's footage of the entire game online by someone who completed the game in 5 hours 23 mins.

Are people even paying attention to the impressions in this thread and others when they say stuff like this?
I'm going to try to round up the impressions from other gaffers and move them into this thread as well.
Apparently not, there is a thing called "The Armoury" in the main menu but beating the game apparently doesn't unlock it. Maybe beating the game on hard or collecting everything does?
And we don't even need to bet to say that the OP definitely knows more about it than you.
Apparantley about 1/4 to 1/3 of the game is cutscenes, there is about 5 chapters that are just cutscenes. This is off the YouTube videos. Make of that what you will.

People wanna know what they game is like from the people on GAF who have copies of the game it's pretty straightforward. Why is this thread even open before the game is out? That is just asking for trouble.
It wasn't a speed run, they died a few times, but they were skipping over collectables. Difficulty was unknown but probably normal. What difficulty was it played on? Did they rush through it?
Oh no, he's gone. Wait, did he play the game?
Nevermind, I don't give a shit.
And multiple gaffers that have beaten the game have said he's full of shit.
Are you gonna play the game?

Is it worth buying a system for? I don't have a ps4 and the only 2 games of interest to me are this and bloodborne.
This thread is for gaf impressions, follow the TOS and read the OP.
beat the game in just north of 4 hours...now i understand why cutscenes aren't skippable...
Duck Hunt has more gameplay i'd say...
So you have no idea what majority means.
Yea i'd be in love with the premise much more if it was like RE4 style progression and design. Been a while since a new IP has attempted that style. That's too bad. Maybe it's not the kind of game you'd want to replay though.
I always got a Resident Evil vibe from it, and that series has done a lot to make the game replay friendly, with extra modes and lots of side stuff.
Think I will wait for a major price drop , it's alright having impressive visuals but if the ganeplay and substance isn't there then no chance of a day one. The lack of co-op is ridiculous too.
Correct.
Is it worth buying a system for? I don't have a ps4 and the only 2 games of interest to me are this and bloodborne.
This is an odd complaint.
Crossposting from the spoiler thread:
The total is 327 minutes, we have like 40 minutes of chapters that are just cutscenes. If you sum more 1/3 of the remaining (~96) you got 136 minutes. That's not the majority of the game.
Yes, it's a huge ratio, but anywhere near most.....
You have that squad with you in so many scenes (like dom in gears), wanting coop ain't the worst thing on earth. This is an odd complaint.
Man...this,this is a tall order to climb for any gamePersonally, I think it harkens back to Metal Gear Solid in terms of pacing, to Killzone 2 for its gunplay theatricality, and to Vanquish, for its replayability
How are we defining haters? Anyone who doesn't board the 'hype train'.
The hype and hate are equally boring with this game.
It does sound like people are suggesting extending the length of the game by doing everything possible to make it tougher.
This kind of comment makes me think the game must be pretty short.
I vaguely remember being told something like I wasn't getting the experience the game was supposed to give me unless I was playing it on hard by numerous folk.
Isn't there a Bloodbourne bundle? If you're going to buy it for Bloodborne, then buying now vs. in March doesn't seem like a very important decision, regardless of whether The Order is good.

One more question?
Are there any DLCs announced?
Anything to make the initial $60 investment worth more in the long run?
I'm definitely going to play it because we need more games like Nightmare Creatures, but I am not sure why I would buy over rent at this point.
We aren't doing this, in this topic.
This is about impressions of the game from GAFers.
Do I need to play the game to comment on it? Of course not.
Indeed. However, are ALL of them ALWAYS by your side during combat sequences?
So, since I don't have a PS4 and had nothing better to do, I just finished watching the walkthrough of this game on YouTube. I'm cautious about saying anything about what I think of the plot here though, so I'll just keep my mouth shut.
did a bunch of posts just get deleted?
