To me, that music is playing about 80-90% speed.
But lol @ this entire situation, issues porting over a damn near 30 year old game.

Is there deathmatch on this? Would love to buy copies for my sons and i and play it on our 3 switches
Oh wow, that's terrible. At least they're patching it out, but it shouldn't have been there to begin with.
I ended up getting DOOM 2 on mobile and I bought DOOM 3 for Switch. I am pleased at how well DOOM 3 looks on the Switch.
But isn't the issue that you need to be connected to the Internet to play, thus removing the ability to take it on the go with you?It takes round 2 minutes to create a Bethesda account then you are good to go for all three games,it's good news they are patching it, but it's a minor issue at best.

After the first login it apparently doesn't ask for it ever again. Offline or online.
That's what I initially thought but was told otherwise in this very quote chain. I'm so confused xDAfter the first login it apparently doesn't ask for it ever again. Offline or online.
I read it was rumored to still be coming. But who knows what kind of condition it will be in, lol.So, erm, what happend about all that Doom 64 talk?
Are we getting it? It'd make up for all this bumfuckery.
THAT'S SO FUCKING EXTREME!!!!if you wanna understand pain, get in a severe car accident and make doom 64 the first thing you play when you wake up
no ragrets
You don't see Doom 2016 as an attempt? Why can't they remake Doom 1 and 2...…….??? That would be swell....
Absolutely loved Doom 2016, but I was thinking of a remake more in line with the original aesthetic, something similar to a very impressive DOOM HD MOD I saw recently...You don't see Doom 2016 as an attempt?

How do you remake the original Doom in a way that preserves the feel of the original? It's a game that was very much of a product of it's time and it just doesnt feel like it would work if you simply kept the generic hallways that worked at the time, but wouldn't work today. Granted, I still have a blast with the original Doom, but the appeal to a modern day audience would be very limited.Absolutely loved Doom 2016, but I was thinking of a remake more in line with the original aesthetic, something similar to a very impressive DOOM HD MOD I saw recently...
This is the correct answer. Doom 2016 is pretty much the closest thing you can get to a modern day version of Doom. You don't see Doom 2016 as an attempt?
Is the music bad in the ps4 version too?To me, that music is playing about 80-90% speed.

I just played it in the subway with no internet anywhere. I think that should put that question to rest. That's what I initially thought but was told otherwise in this very quote chain. I'm so confused xD
Slightly off topic but does anyone know if there are any PC versions of Doom 1 and 2 that run at 60fps?. The other week i was playing the BFG version and the 35fps framerate was making my eyes bleed. Those versions have controller support though so i may end up just sticking with them.
Stop judging people Rukia. If you play Doom with vertical look, crouching, jumping, or any of that shit you are a bad person.
Lol it bothers you? It looks super badass. The way the logo fits together. Would have looked nowhere near as cool with a 2.Can I just say how much it bothers me that DOOM II uses roman numerals but DOOM 3 is just a regular 3. I mean, seriously why did they do that.
It bothers me that they switched from roman numerals to a regular 3 because it's not consistent, it has nothing to do with how bad ass it looks. Imagine if Final Fantasy started out using roman numerals, but then in a later entry started using regular numbers, it wouldn't look right sitting next to past entries. DOOM 3 to me doesn't look right next to DOOM II. I feel the same way about Mario Kart.Lol it bothers you? It looks super badass. The way the logo fits together. Either stick with it or don't use it at all imo.
I remember seeing that exact footage at Quakecon of that year. In a big room theater.
I agree. Very few things that get shown this day and age are really surprising in terms of tech. Ray tracing is a big thing on paper, but looking at it doesn't have near the wow factor as Doom 3 did.I think DOOM III might be the last time I was truly like "holy shit this changes everything" in regards to new video game technology. I've had a lot of "oh damn" moments since then, but that was just like...I dunno, just seeing objects in the environment move and react to players and enemies, it was such a big deal then.
Good few easy golds and an easy enough platinum. Finishing the 4 episodes on any difficulty will net you 4 gold trophies, and killing the cyber demon with a pistol gets you another. You'll need a second controller for the plat though, to get 100 kills in deathmatch and finishing the game on nightmare in co-op.How’s the trophies for the first game?
Rumored it's coming.Where is my Doom 64??? That game was pure gold.
Honestly, considering the games age, I don't know if 4K is gonna do a whole lot. It's pretty damn amazing on Switch though! Handheld too!Never played Doom 3, any good? I'm trying to decide between playing it in 4K on the Xbox One X or handheld for Switch... Hmmm... What say you Gaf?

I recommend the Switch version as it is one of the few FPS to actually look good with native res and 60 fps on it. You have plenty of other FPS on Xbox.Never played Doom 3, any good? I'm trying to decide between playing it in 4K on the Xbox One X or handheld for Switch... Hmmm... What say you Gaf?

it got fixed on ios you now have a skip buttonStill no sign of an update for the Switch 'sign into Bethesda account' crap popping up every 10 seconds if you get disconnected from the net. I'm gonna put money on this never being patched out.
