... is vanished. Both in Gaming and Offtopic.

As such i made a thread to report this, which i shall do with my Pointless Button.

At ease, chaps.

(Seriously though why is it suddenly gone @EviLore)

Maybe if you use it too much you lose it?

It’s still there for me, left of the change thread title button.

It is common practice to remove the user's report feature if they abuse it. Looks like you may have been abusin' it. Also why create a thread about it and not post in MetaGaf or message a mod directly? Seems like a completely needless thing to do.

Yeah I was about to say, it still shows up for me on every post

Perhaps @Musky_Cheese Is right and it's only taken away if you abuse it

Lol I can even report myself if I feel guilty enough

I wanted to bring this under attention because i thought it was a significant issue. I was not aware of anything and so i made this thread in light composure.

Oh dear. That feeling when the mods don't tell you.
I think that's the case :/ I suppose its rightly deserved.

Heh, ironic.. i wanted to request the thread be locked now this has become clear, but i forgot for a second.... You need that button for it. :messenger_neutral::messenger_persevering:

Well, if anyone can do that, id appreciate that.

Alternatively you can not do that and laugh at my inability and irony of this situation.

Apologies for this thread by the way and my naivety into not knowing. I am serious, in case you may think otherwise after reading this post.

That's it for now.

Thank you for your time.

Have you been on a reporting spree lately? I recall them saying NI got his report function removed for the same reason.

Not anymore than usual, which is to say average. Last i did were 2-3 in short sucession which is not common. But thats from a week ago.

It is what it is and i accept the associated penalty.

If you or anyone else could request a thread lock that would be great. Otherwise ill do it first thing in the morning.

No further messages from me here in this thread.

I don’t want to risk my report button on reporting this thread :messenger_grinning_squinting:

Why should you ever report someone? I mean, no offense but Neogaf doesn't seem to have such amounts of posts that moderators can't look at them for themselves (and make no mistake, I LOVE the fact that GAF isn't that unbereable behemoth of the last few years).
What I usually see is a forum that works, promote discussions without resorting to censorship and works much better than other alternatives. Trolls and high level dumbasses seems to be naturally banned without much noise and everything is fine in the jungle.

edit: please don't report me

No one likes a Randall.

Being serious though, I've never used a report button. Unless there's straight up illegal content or spam that goes by unnoticed, I trust the mods to take appropriate action instead.

That isn't how forums work. You are supposed to use the report button for every minor grief you have with someone. They say something you don't like? Report. They say something that you dont' agree with? Report. They just someone you don't like? Report.

(Please don't actually do that, this was all sarcasm)

Well its hilarious to create a topic just to find out that everybody has the report function working except you.

I think the mods would tell you they'd prefer things to get reported rather than being expected to patrol the forum 24/7.

For example: duplicate threads, or threads in the wrong category. Just report those.

This thread is funny. Redneckerz, you may need a new tag after this one :p

Only time I've used the report button on here was to let the mods know to close a thread of mine that someone else had already started. I'm pretty anti-reporting. Can't ever remember using it on other message boards too.
