wonderkins said:That is, honestly, one of the loneliest TRU locations anywhere. What they were thinking when they decided to put it on a little-traveled frontage road, opposite Ridgedale and Best Buy and Target...I haven't a clue. And then that crap music instrument store to the left... No, I won't be paying ~$700 for your Fender knock-off.
It's only rivaled by the ghost town that is the TRU here in Salem, OR.
MrCompletely said:Wow, I literally just hung up with them.
They won't be breaking the street date, but they will probably receive their stock today.
BenjaminBirdie said:Just wanted to make sure they have it in stock when Corporate flips the switch.

SanjuroTsubaki said:So is there any official word yet? Most games do not come with street dates, is it just a matter of shipping the game a week early? Any head start to finish the game before Metroid Prime 3 is welcome.
I doubt that would do muchEric WK said:No official word yet. We need to start giving 2K Corporate a call.

Sounds like a plan. If the game is shipping early there is no reason why a title like this should have a street date. No offense to Bioshock but I'm pretty sure even with the hype they need all the sales they can get.Eric WK said:No official word yet. We need to start giving 2K Corporate a call.

Not to mention the Circuit City. I don't think I ever saw more than 10 cars in the parking lot.sk3tch said::lol
So true. When I went to go pre-order Madden on Monday (to get the $5 GC) I actually got lost getting to it! I could SEE the damn place from 394 and I had gone by it so many times in the past. I had no idea it was off that damn little road by a bunch of car dealerships!!
The same dude works in the game section every time I've been in since Monday. It must be lonely as hell. There's never anyone else in the game area with me. It's even funnier too because they now have the game section in its own little secured "playpen." It's like we're going in to look at pr0n in a backroom or something. :lol
Most likely it would be the opposite scenario if there really is a street date to begin with. As far as my store goes, we get little word about anything like this however we still did not receive our shipment in yet.sk3tch said:Yeah, cause 2K to send out a notice to all retailers breaking the date...thus any "ignorance" claims will be shut down.
Won't hurt to try.Zozz said:I doubt that would do much
It's an okay book. The core principle behind it is the core principle behind the creation of Rapture, so there is definitely a strong similarity. For the first 400 or so pages, you won't know what the hell is going on. Then there will be a couple hundred pages where you are angrier than you've ever been at characters in a book. It ends pretty well.Baker said:To the people saying to read Atlas Shrugged:
Is this doable in a week without straining myself? I read fast, but 1200 pages is still a lot. I finished Deathly Hallows in a day, but that was written in like 20 point font.
Also, from what I've randomly heard in philosophy classes, I don't agree with anything in these books. Would that cease any appreciation I could get from it?
just did and I bit my tongue in the process and voicemail box is not activatedwonderkins said:Won't hurt to try.

ALeperMessiah said:Parma, OH TRU has it in stock. Picked it up at 11:15, people behind the counter said it had been flying off the shelves since they opened, and that the few copies they had left wouldn't last long. I'd post picks if I could, but I'm stuck at work.
MCermak said:Yeah, yeah, Minnesota REPRESENT!
Anything heard about our options here in the twin cities? I've called the TRUs in the area and got 2 NOs and a "check back later" from maple grove.
Nope, I was the only person, but someone had called and gotten a copy held.widgetraf said:To those who got it: was there a line of people waiting for the store to open?

Let me know if they still have some, I was thinking of going there later.Phatcorns said:About to head to Morse Rd. TRU in Ohio, wish me luck!
wonderkins said:Oh, and sk3tch, I'm still pissed about the boondoggle that is the toll lane on 394 and I moved away a year ago. I was able to take Metro (Express, baby!) to work from St. Louis Park; they essentially made 394 a two lane road. People were up in arms immediately. Funny when MNDOT stated, "Well, we can't change the programming." Well, that, and the Feds with their grants would be displeased.

What made me laugh is that when I was getting these, the videogame dept at TRU got like 2 calls asking for this, and the employees looked at each other and were like "whats the big deal with this game" and I just smiled and took my games and left.
