I don't see a ps4 discount, how much is the bone version?this embargo on day of release is ridiculous.
If PS4 digital isn't gonna get cheap like bone version I riot.

I think Mad Max is a pretty bad ass game, actually. But opinions of course vary.
Finally a little freetime to dive in and I'm already stuck lol.
When doing the rogue training near the start (On pc) it asks me to perform a thrust...and for the button prompt it says []: wtf button is this? I have tried every-single attack button I know of, mouse, space, left control, none of them do it.
enjoying it more then i did with dragon age inquisition lol
that games combat was incredible boring
It's pretty enjoyable so far. I'm a an hour or so in. Not getting great performance on PC. Regularly below 60FPS with a 970 at 1080p with everything on maximum. Considering how it looks, visually, it's surprising.
Have you tried remapping the controls?
Yes, I remapped the secondary attack to right mouse and moved the dodge from there to space.
Yeah only thing that could convince me to get it otherwise is if impressions here after the point people were disillusioned remain decent.I'm more interested in hearing people's thoughts 10 plus hours in. At 5 I was having a great time.
I made a performance thread for any PC gamers here.
Did remapping them fix your problem or you still stuck?
I had remapped them before hand. I ended up reseting them to default and it allowed me to pass.
It seems it's a bug that if you remap the controls you can not pass these training events, even though it asks you to do a move, if you do that move while it's re-bound to another key it doesn't register it so you're stuck unless you reset them to default keys, then it recognizes it and allows you to continue.
I had one concern about the combat from the IGN review...and for those that have played it ...
IGN says no matter how good you are combat never reaches a flow where you get better...that battles seem more luck and random. I love difficult games...but only when with practice and skill I can feel like a bad ass. Witcher 1 on hard was amazing because once you put the time into it you destroyed people, but one mistake could still mess you up. Anyone who has played the game, do you really never reach a point where combat feels natural, or by the end are you still randomly getting killed and finding combat difficult in an unfair way?
Is the jank comparable to the eurojank gems of last gen i.e; Risen, Two Worlds, Divinity etc? If so I'm definitely in cause I love me some eurojank RPGs. Even if not still almost certainly in anyway lol.
Oh it's got the eurojank you love. Especially when you goto the slums for the first time. Paid $60 for it and no regrets.
Honest to god the ACG review is almost making me ignore the reviews in general. I don't think I've ever seen such an in-depth video review that while being negative still told me enough to make my own decision.
Wish this was cheaper on PS4 so I'll still wait for a sale of some sort before I buy it.
This game has piqued my interest....but full price... If this game was $40, I'd buy it in a heartbeat.
For those who are playing it, how are the choices? Do they have satisfying consequences? Are there romances ala mass effect?
Yeah this wasn't for me. At all. Turned it off after the first hour and got a refund.
Ya I discussed this a bit in my review the internal party politics and overall way in whcih you interact and change them is much more in depth than what I ever expected. There are romances. Not quite sure how to engage in them though (have played about 10 hours).
The consequences so far are also interesting. Its not that the whole world falls apart, but its nice to see that I have impact on the world/characters. Obviously I dont want to spoil anything.
I still really enjoy the game. I started Dragon Age:Inquistion but then switched to this. Its alot more fun.
Also that overlay map feature. So useful! Can't remember that any game besides Diablo 2 and 3 have something like that.

Karak, my man, you put together the most well thought, informative, no bullshit reviews I have come across. On top of that, you're witty as hell, so there's that too. You've got a real gift there, keep at it.Thanks man I am glad you liked my review! I may not be for everyone but i try hard to make sure that people understand my reasoning for everything.

Let me double down on this. The ign video review of the same title didn't tell me anything besides that the guy didn't like the game so 5/10. Yours was extremely in depth and you went over everything with such detail, both positives and negatives, that I came so informed over it I could make a decision just based on the footage and your comments.Kara, my man, you put together the most well thought, informative, no bullshit reviews I have come across. Eurojank is one of my favourite RPG sub-genre's also: Divinity DKS, Risen and Two Worlds... hidden gems all day.
Same here. I'm about to dive into Technomancer (LOVED Mars: War Logs btw) and I have two questions - is highest difficulty manageable (I'm pretty comfortable with 3rd person action rpgs such as Witcher, which I played on higest difficulty) and for those of you who have finished - how long is the game? If I remember correctly Mars: War Logs was around 20h and it felt a little short because I was having such a great time.
i had a lot of problems on extreme but after like 4 hours its pretty damn easy
im 20 hours in now and still going strong,i still need to get the trophy for finish chapter 2 and it goes to chapter 4 with the trophies
having a LOT more fun with this game than dragon age inquisition
That's great to hear. Any thoughts on the 3 combat specs? I'll probably end up with the shield style but I wouldn't mind hearing about others.
I have it but haven't been able to play it yet since I have a few other games to finish but is the the main character customizable? It doesn't really bother me if they're not, I just wanted to know lol. Really hope to start it soon if I can.

Thanks as well man. Its good to hear that the information is usable to gamers like you that might just want more data but may not be chomping at the bit.Let me double down on this. My decision is still to wait on a sale on ps4, following your advice as I was already considering that.
Knife is great but I went staff, then buffed it with the bounce shield lol. Throwing enemies off.knife and pistole is the way to go ( for me at least ) found the other ones to slow
Yeah, feeling the same. Combat would be ace if it was more fluid, I'm really digging the on-the-fly switching and the classes in general but meh :sOnly got my review code today, played ~4 hours and Im kinda enjoying so far, but I just feel like this as every other Spiders game has a lot of unachieved potential IMO.
Combat systems are rich, and higly customizable, but combat gameplay itself is clunky and not really fully polished, the setting is great and the Mancer's background story is interesting, but main characters and the narrative itself so far are dull. Maybe that will change and get better, but its how Im feeling at this moment of the game.
Spiders is an impressive developer tho, when you think this is beeing released only 2 years after Bound By Flame (and 3 after Mars) and seems like a pretty huge game. Maybe all they need to get a critical hit game is bigger budget and more time to develop and polish their project.
