The Trials HD Official Thread

man, this work thing really gets in the way of succeeding in trials HD :/

I really look forward to cursing that little rider guy for leaning too far forward. when trying to land from a big jump on a slope. then he does a nose wheelie and the back wheel spins impotently in thin air while somebody on my friends list rockets to victory.
 
Man, fuck this thread and the Gamespy Debriefings. I've caved and bought it. :(

Managed to get gold on all of the beginner and easy levels, but I'm on the second medium level now where you have to wait for the wood panels to throw you up onto the next obstacle. Like hell am I going for gold now, it's going to be a challenge just to finish a level from this point on I think.

One thing I've noticed is that if my biker was headless I would have a much easier time. I can't count the number of times I've been on a great run and his head has just clipped something about, sending his body falling to the floor. If I ever become a professional biker I'm leaving my head behind.
 
Bought the game without trying the demo and I couldn't be happier. Could easily be my game of the Summer.

Currently making my way through Medium, though I've spent more time shaving off seconds in an attempt to make my way up the leaderboards. I'm hoping to check out the level editor this weekend.

Like many others, I was only moderately interested in this game before I tried the demo. It's a definite purchase now. My GT is Vermadas. Going to start adding people in this thread for leaderboards.

"badrock jones" on Live, if anyone wants to compete/share. I have zero friends in my list that bought this. :( I've beaten everything but the Extreme maps (thanks, Trials 2 SE practice!)

This was an awesome release...and next week is Shadow Complex...

Yeah, but you can just use the balls as ramps and speed your way across instead of balancing. Thats how I made it over anyhow.
 
Working on a new level, which is going to be awesooooooooooome. Already got some of the basework down on it :D.
 
I was doing decently until I got to the Hard levels. Wow.

I've already added some people in the thread. I want to try creating a few levels myself, but I'm not sure how that's going to work out. :lol

I think I did the break your bones skill test a hundred times. I think I like this game better than anything else on the summer of Arcade(so far)
 
game is absolutely awesome...had zero interest until yesterday, but after the good impressions and lengthy trial, i decided to give it a go. i ended up crawling in bed at 2 am...:lol
 
it's really addictive to see you friends on the bar and try and compete with them. In the end though for some of the harder levels I'm just happy to get a gold on them.
Great game, I need to try out MMarsu's level tonite now.

I'm having some trouble there myself. Your best bet is to load up the leaderboard and check out some of the top-tier replays.

Aww that sucks Gazunta ! I would gift you 60 points if I had the option ( which I don't ). Funny enough I had 60 points left after buying this..

When do Amazon usually start offering the codes for sale? I heard the codes are region-locked, as well - how does that work?

Had some trouble with that one also. Only 8 minutes and 56 tries. Would make it to the second ball a dozen times then fall. Noooooooo!
This game is great. I'm on the last couple of hard levels and nothing frustrating so far. Difficult yes. For some reason I found Splosion Man much more difficult and frustrating. Maybe it's the generous checkponts in Trials.
Got top 100 in one level. Couldn't tell you which one.:D
The replays of the top scores have the same issues I've seen in games like Poker Smash. You watch the replay but it's nothing what actually happened to get that time. I've watched a ton of replays and have only seen it a half dozen times but wonder what is happening there.
GAME IS AWESOME!!!
 
I'm just gonna mirror whats already been said but wow, didn't expect much at all from this game hearing about it. Downloaded the demo, WOW, game was immediatly purchased.
 
Hey does anybody know when the Amazon trials game for 10 bucks is going to be available? A friend of mine wants to buy it but if it's not today he'll just go to gamestop later today.
 
I managed to get the "250 retries left" warning on one of them Hard levels.

And then there's a difficulty above that... Not even gonna bother. Checked the leaderboards on the last one. Only 125 people have even completed the thing. Last guy on the list has 464 retries and it almost took him half an hour. Madness.
 
Game is awesome.

Got the Unyielding and the Full Throttle achievements.

What's the best everyone's gotten on Ski Jump? I managed to pull around 149 as my best. Really having trouble getting any better than that.

Just added a shitload of people (mmarsu I think you're full again, wanted to try your level >_<). Gonna run for a bit then its time to crack some leaderboard skulls.
 
Would be truly awesome if it showed the scores of friends of friends. Then we could create Trials metatags and automatically have a ton of scores to compete against.

I had mentioned that earlier too, but after poking around, they also have MvC2, 'Splosion Man, and a couple of others on their site but not for sale yet. Made me think that it may be a wait of another week or two or three (or more) before it's available, so I went ahead and bought it last night through Live. I'm glad I did...Great game!

I love games with simple mechanics that provide a good challenge through level design. This makes a great one-two punch with 'Splosion Man. I've already added a number of you fine folk, feel free to add me as well:
