1. Anyone wondering about that 400-600 next-gen investment yet? These improvements are marginal. But while we're on the topic, the trees, crowd, and ground textures look like shit. Personally, I could care less about those things as long as it plays well--but that's not what we're paying for, is it?

Yeah I'm serious. Everyone working in this business knows the limitations of making instanced low-poly crowds. Currently it's hard to make them look 'great' as they have to share so many properties, so I'm asking some of the experts how they could be done better.

Assuming you work for them.

But anyway, I have some ideas. How about having 20 or so canned poses that source from different models and clothing sets? They don't have to be animated, or if they are, very limited animation, or repeating animations.

Ideas for crowd poses:
1. Gingerbread man look - I think you guys have this one down
2. Hands in pockets
3. Arms crossed
4. On Cell Phone
5. Hand on brow, shading eyes
6. Holding a sunbrella
7. Holding a drink
8. Golf clapping
9. Couple holding hands
10. Friends golf-whispering

There's 10. You come up with the rest and make us surprised.
