Titanfall 360/XBO season pass/DLC are free

It's the only online shooter working flawlessly thanks to the dedicated servers, unbelievable. Good times, and thanks to Wario I think I'm going back once again to join the fight. My Titan could be ready again ;)

Yeesh, capture the flag playlist had a playerbase of like hundred and thirty five a couple of minutes ago on XBO.

Downloaded all the maps, played for like thirty minutes and don't know if I'm gonna continue. The horde mode they added seemed kind of awful and attrition...well it was attrition.

By the end of last year the only thing worth playing was the new Horde mode they added, everything else was just as lackluster as ever even with the new maps. And the dwindling player base (PC player here) didn't help.

Glad I got the game on the cheap at launch, paying $60 would have been too much. If they do release a sequel I hope they pack a campaign in or only charge $40. The lack of a SP campaign was a poor design choice.

Will download on PC.

Not terribly thrilled to play unless that happens.

Edit: then I went and played, oh well, had fun! Wish there were more players on PC.

Could this imply Titanfall as being part of next months Games for Gold games? They did say that there would be an extra game in april. Would love to see the player counts for Online skyrocket.

I don't see why this would imply that tbh.

Often the free game is used to sell the dlc. Not to be given away a month after the dlc.

All extra maps should be free anyway so you don't split the community.

This is how multiplayer DLC should be. Pay for early access, but eventually everyone gets it for free. It's the best way to ensure the longest possible life for your online community.

responses like these are why you deserve EA and Ubisofts of this world

I don't even play Titanfall but why would you shit on a dev giving away free Dlc?

How else can I show my anger at the fact I can't play the game, then by shitting on it when I get a chance. Anybody who criticizes a free season pass or free DLC is a moron.

Especially if it's because of a 1 year anniversary thing.

I'm glad to see Microsoft finally boosting its PC presence. Free DLC is exactly what you need to revitalize a game that is barely alive on the platform. Making it available for everyone on PC for free is a smart mo...

... oh.

I need to attach a credit card to my account to download this even tho it is free? Wtf?

For Xbox 360, if you're doing it online through a browser you do, but not through the console if I remember correctly. For Xbox One, you don't need anything except a live subscription. I've never given Microsoft my credit card info, never purchased anything using automatic billing. Always prepaid live cards, MS points or credit for me.

... oh.

If you read the first page, Wario64 said it should probably go free for PC tomorrow. But hey, don't let reading through the thread stop you from coming in and showing indignation.

Pretty great, still play daily on the XBO. In my opinion the best mp shooter of the past couple of years, just ticks all the right boxes for me.

Ha, I'm glad I didn't pull the trigger either time the season pass went down to $6. Between shit like this, the $9 Lords of the Fallen slip-up, and the Dying Light snafu, I'm a happy-ass gamer to have the privilege of living in this digital era where shit gets cheap fuckin' quick! If it weren't for Gaf and CAG, I'd be spending way more money than necessary. Thanks for the heads up, just downloaded the Titanfall Season Pass for FREE!!! Now I'm contemplating whether to buy Ori or wait a month or two and save a few bucks? I think I'm gonna just bite the bullet, game looks too fuckin' amazing to wait!

That's how it should've been from the start. I love the gameplay, but shipping a content starved game, then splintering the entire userbase with DLC is completely ass. Hopefully when the sequel comes around, they start remembering these lessons and start earning some kudos with the community instead of burnt out wallets and lopsided playlist player counts.

This is great man. Have been playing the game a few times on recent days on PC. This will definitely get me more hooked now if it's also coming to PC. This is where it needs it the most. The community is not there.
