even that is shitty man. 100 mbit is 100 mbitman, thats pretty awful. I have 100mbit and my PS4 usually downloads at around 50mbit
I'm at 50 and I usually get between 8 and 12. That might be partly because of my environment and stuff, but still, my PC right next to it can get around 40. I also have issues with staying connected to party chat and online games simultaneously all the time, but that's a whole other issue.man, thats pretty awful. yea guys, saves do not get deleted when you delete an install
The issue has been around forever, people have been complaining about it forever and Sony has had the same response forever. What were you expecting?...and there you have it: they're not even bothered by the issue.
Especially, given this wasn't the case with the PSP and PS3.Vita also does.
It's infuriating.
Yeah 1gb is a fucking joke in this day and age for cloud saving..i seen many times error can't upload from Arkham Knight for example.
I know for a fact that it works that way on Vita.
I remember because it's so incredibly stupid.
It's annoying on the PS4 to fill up, because everytime you boot up your system you're greeted with a barrage of messages.
DING! Failed to upload Save for Game 1
DING! Failed to upload Save for Game 2
DING! Failed to upload Save for Game 3
DING! Discover new power options!!!!

I thought it was 1 GB as well but then I saw this in the PS Plus support page. Did it go up?

Preach. Either fix the PS4 save size or give us more space. Better, do both.
I can't imagine someone would be as blantantly flippant as that unless there was some sort of plan.
He could have said nothing. He acknowledged it, to a degree. That's something.the plan was to avoid the question about PS4 cloud saves.
I have no idea how you guys filled 1gb with save files... I mean, I have a ps3, ps4 and vita hundreds of games, and I'm still like, halfway.![]()

I don't want to get caught up too much in overthinking corporate communications, but Yoshida's response had the effect of being a deflection.
That was introduced a few patches ago.2) There needs to be a pause function for games that have had their initial download finished.
I don't think that's the reason. Or at least if it was it wouldn't make sense since when you backup a game on PC the save files are separate from the game files. Only on the Vita itself everything is bundled and gets deleted together while on PC you can just delete the game files and keep the saves if you want to save some space. I don't see how this makes anything more secure. On the Vita yes, because they didn't want people to crack it with homebrew so soon.
Yeah I think so too. I don't know of course but that's what it looks likeI don't want to get caught up too much in overthinking corporate communications, but Yoshida's response had the effect of being a deflection.
He's asked about a PSN issue and his answer is about Kotaku...Shu is known to troll like this.
He would have ignored it completely then if the goal was deflection. This wasn't an interview.
Yoshida was probably being tongue in cheek but it seems he has nothing to say about PSN issues. What PSN issues ?A PlayStation rep tells me they have no plans to announce any changes to online storage

Seems more like a stupid oversight that Sony never bothered to fix. Same with the annoying account restriction.
It was until at some point last year that every patch was at minimum 11MB because of the PS4 SDK. While there is probably scenarios where developers didn't give a shit, the floor being 11MB because of the SDK was quite shit.I don't even understand why PS4 saves are so bloated to begin with. It is as if the devs just didn't care about optimizing them. There is no reason why any game should have a 300MB save file!

It's their online system that works this way and I still can't fathom how someone designed it this way and thought it was a good idea. Nevermind that they never corrected this over firmware updates.I know for a fact that it works that way on Vita.

But there's nothing locked down when only on the Vita everything is bundled but once you copy the games on PC everything is suddenly unbundled. If they wanted to lock this down it would make more sense to keep everything together as one file on PC as well. They did it to lock the system down as much as possible. There was no oversight.
When it's so widespread, you've got to wonder what the platform holder is doing to hold this at bay.Maybe blame the developer for such a large save file?
