Maybe I missed something, but where did Sookie all of a sudden get the notion that she can transmit her thoughts to Barry over long distances in order to get his attention? I thought that was kind of an iffy moment, one that was probably explained in much more detail in the books (which I have not read).

Just seemed like a "desperate times call for desperate measures" kind of thing to me. I don't think she was sure it would work, but Barry being a fellow telepath, it would make it easier for him to receive her thoughts if she broadcasted them specifically to him, so she gave it a shot. Especially since he, unlike Sookie, hasn't yet mastered how to block out thoughts, so he'd basically be an open line.

Damn, show keeps doing better and better for HBO.

Hope they take those extra ratings and give Song Of Ice And Fire some leniency.

Is 4.3 million good or bad? I'm glad they've renewed it for another season, but I wouldn't mind having this show around for another couple of seasons.

Only 4.3 million? Hmmm I would of thought much higher than that...

That is freaking HUGE for HBO.

Then they add rewatched and stuff to add upto to 12 millionish.

Remember that HBO is a subscription service. They've said that the show gets 10m+ after figuring in DVR, encore and on-demand viewings also.

I would argue good. Take that 4.3 million and multiply it by the $14 subscription fee that most people pay and you have $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.

Exactly. And think of all the people that have subscribed to HBO just to watch this show alone. I'm sure there are a good number of those people. And True Blood is working extremely well as a lead in, given the numbers for Hung and Entourage.

HBO has won back Sunday nights! (although I'm a fan of Big Love as well, and that gets no love).

holy shit wut?! I didnt even realize that's where I knew him from....!

I had the same moment of revelation as you. :lol

edit: BTW, I love how HBO retains a few of these actors between series/specials. Anna Paquin did that Bury My Heart At Wounded Knee HBO mini-series.

Finally caught up with you guys, saw all the episodes of S1 and S2 in two weeks. :D
I fuckin love this show, Eriç has to be my favorite character, and i can't say there's one character i dislike.
Kinda sucks i have to wait a week for a new episode, but it does add to the suspense

Great episode. I hope Bill's maker (her name escapes me) isn't in anymore eps beyond the upcoming ep -- she's getting annoying.

Also, the Maryanne story is still among my least favs -- why? Because it doesn't involve a single vampire. I want to see a vampire interact with her and I have this feeling we won't.

I also hope that she isn't immortal and is capable of dying.

Also, someone mentioned characters dying off before the end of the season
such as Daphne
last night, here are my top 5 predictions before the end of the season who are the most likely to die.

1. Benedict (eggs)
2. One of the Bellefleurs
3. The woman that Eric made and who is keeping track of Lafayette
4. Maryanne (wishful thinking)
5. Hoyt
You're pretty far off.

I'm going to take the risk and say that you have the spoilers for the rest of the season? If not, then I don't know how else you would know since the show doesn't follow the books faithfully such as
Lafayette already being dead, but being still alive in the show

And to the guy with the images, I have no idea what that is about. If you'd like to take a gamble about who, of the cast that's important (not Sarah, Luke, the Rev), is going to bite the dust next then feel free. If not, then your response is in vain.

Btw, Eric seems Gay for Godric...anyone sense a flashback of gay love and passion around the 1400's or something?

Yea, Godric and Eric are totally gay for each other. I think it's kinda hard to argue otherwise.

'True Blood' stars get engaged

I hope all stays rosy between them at least for the duration of their relationship on the show(however long it lasts...haven't read the books)...i'd hate for a messy breakup/divorce to ruin the show's flow.

I think the actors who played Major Kira and Dr. Bashir got married and then divorced during the course of Deep Space 9, and that didn't seem to be a problem.

Also, the pic in that article cracks me up for some reason, especially Paquin's expression:

That's only measuring the first showing (the 2nd showing typically gets several million as well). It also does not include DVR numbers to my knowledge.

finally saw the latest episode.

all the annoying people got smack in this episode. I like :D

Well Jason is not dead that's for sure.
I like all of Bill's scene.
oh damn Godrick (spelling). Wasn't he young during the viking age? So they aged slowly?

Show keeps on being awesome! :D

Like someone else posted, I've completely forgotten that I kind of hated this show in the beginning. I think the cheese and sometimes-poor acting is still there, but now I just don't care anymore. I'm completely sucked in and can't wait to see what happens. :D
