edit: but what is that bomb gunna do? wouldnt wooden bullets have to peirce their hearts to kill them? and wouldnt wooden bullets shatter from a bomb blast?

i really love the character, but im still not feeling him as an x000 year old. his eyes should be piercing but he often looks away, he should speak as though he always knows exactly what to say from having lived so long but he takes his time with his words and speaks them slowly. im also getting that young actor vibe from him like i get from daniel radcliffe. like every moment is acted in spurts... or something like that.
 
Holy fuck! Each preview is more epic than the last.

And what a character Godric turned out to be. So wise and insightful. This really is one of the top dramas on tv.
 
Godric is awesome (owning Lorena sooooo damn hard). Eric is looking hot as hell at the pre-showdown party!!!

I'm amazed that I'm on just as many pins and needles at the end of this episode as I was the last, and yet we got a great resolution to the Godric rescue story arc and now it just keeps going!! This show is hitting on so many levels that I'm amazed this is only the second season. Comparing this season to the first it's like a third or fourth season improvement in lore, backstory, and overall "grip" of the world. Though I guess it does help that they've completely segregated the Austin storyline from the storyline back home involving Marryanne.
 
I want to read the books, but at the same time I don't want to spoil the series for myself. Though, I've heard that the show has deviated a lot from the books.

godric is next. I've got more but they're way to far off. Let's just say that only 2 of the people in that guy's list will die and not until the very last episode of the season.

I feel like that's EXACTLY how a 2,000 year-old would talk. He's immortal, it's not like he's in a hurry. And who's going to interrupt him? He has no reason to do anything quickly, and that seems to be the way he operates.

Am I the only one who felt bad for Lorena? Not only did she lose Bill, but she got humiliated in front of everybody at the party. It was a very drawn out and very public dress-down. I also feel awful for Jessica. Her afterlife is going to suck.

Not that the show will really go long enough to see it, but seriously, you'd think at some point being a bad-ass vampire that lives forever and can see and do all sorts of things would take some precedence. I mean, I know she's basically going through her teenage years as a vampire, but I'm sure she'd get beyond that at some point.

On another note, Bill never made mention of Sookie's blood tasting any different than any other human's did he? I'm just wondering since Lorena seemed enthralled with the taste of Barry's.

I don't remember Bill making a specific comment about it, but it seemed to be implied in the first season that a mind-reader would have better tasting blood than a normal human. As a matter of fact, I think this was something Bill guessed before he ever fed on Sookie, which is why he tried so hard to protect her from other vampires even before they started dating.

As for Jessica, I agree that she will get over it. But every other vampire seems to enjoy having awesome super vampire sex, and that's something she's going to miss out on to a certain degree.

Speaking of sex, I'm kinda disappointed that there was no mention/exploration of Eric and Godric's relationship. They've obviously fucked, why avoid the subject?
