Yeah, ubisoft never does this. I mean that lady who spent 2 years of her life modelling the Notre Dame Cathedral, not to mention the rest of the team who spent 5 years recreating Paris didn't put any effort into it. Nope none at all. Or the fact they released 7 games in a row all meticulously crafting worlds, creating new assets for new iterations (2-Revelation) (3-Rogue) (Unity-Syndicate)
I don't even like unity. I think its a poor game, but trying to say "oh they recycle the same things over and over despite having money and resources to do it" is inane. Hell the reason I dislike unity is because the new mechanics they added in were not good.
Do you actually think every ubisoft game has the same budget behind it? You think FarCry Primal is a 100 million dollar game? Fucking hell budget =/= quality, look at Destiny. A good portion of budget is for marketing anyways and not all of that money goes into development costs.
Finally you don't even explain "what makes ubisoft games lazy" with examples. You just make broad statements saying "their games are bad" and then say "oh other games doing the same thing are better for some reason"
Just fucking say "you don't like their formula" instead of "this is a bad game" and give no real explanation as to why it is a bad game.
In every thread where Ubisoft is mentioned there is at least one hate post.
- Their games are not very good
- Their AAA games are way too samey
- They popularized the bland, paint-by-numbers AAA open-world game that's fucking everywhere (and is fucking terrible)
- They have a long history of bullshitting about their games (bullshots, fake MP video footage, downgrades, and even reverse bullshots)
- Releasing pathetically unfinished games like AC: Unity
- Ridiculously long credits (seriously, fuck off)
- Aisha Tyler
- uPlay
- Their games are really just not very good
.
- Their games are great
- Their open world approach, including towers, are fun
- The quality of their titles usually good/great
- Aisha Tyler is entertaining and glad they bring her back
- Their games are great
I am very interested in seeing assassins creed with a year of rest on it. E3 should be fun
AC3 really soured me on that series
Like seriously...where the hell is Splinter Cell?
Theyre gonna make it open world arent they?

I don't like that we use the word "hate."
Ubisoft is a frustrating company because they're constantly on the cusp of greatness, but never quite there.
They seemed to be unable to keep up with the industry.
- Assassin's Creed's Ezio games were great back when they came out, but the standards for an open world game have grown significantly since. And do they really need to hit so hard on the same formula, over and over and over?
- Rainbow Six Siege was a great game, but if you're going to do a multiplayer title, you need an anti-cheat strategy included in your launch.
- Anno 2070 was a letdown... Which is weird, because simulation games have been booming in the indie scene.
- Far Cry Primal was just lazy.
I've never hated them, but I'm not a fan of their open-world formula.
Give me a new Splinter Cell already!
I feel the same way. Watch Dogs, Assassin's Creed and Far Cry are terrible franchises imo. Far Cry 4 in particular was garbage. The games are just boring to play and feel uninspired. I'm now at the stage where I won't play any game with the Ubisoft logo on the box.I think most of their games are shit.
Can't stand them. Cheering on Vivendi every step of the way.

Hope things improve after Vivendi take over.
Out of curiosity: Why? You know Vivendi won't come in be like "Alright, stop doing what you are doing, we will now focus waaay more on quality" right?
In all likelihood they would cancel every game that's not a big franchise and produce 2 AC games a year. What do you think Vivendo will do there that would make you like them more?
I played it and thought it was awful. What else is there to explain? It's not as if I'm the only person who feels this way.How exactly is Far Cry 4 garbage?
Hard to say. I can't see Vivendi improving their situation, but it would sure shake things up. As for why I can't stand them, I don't like the way they treated Patrice Desilets and a friend of mine that once worked there. Also they find one thing that works and it bleeds into everything they do. I do appreciate them taking on risk with smaller projects though.

Great for a Ubisoft game does not equal great, but anyway:Well...everything?
It has great graphics, great voice acting, decent story, tight gameplay, great soundtrack. You might not like or find it fun, but there's no way it can objectively be called "garbage".
Do you really mean Anno 2070 or Anno 2205(the new one)? I loved Anno 2070, who would have know that setting up elaborate trade routes and production chains would be so much fun.
I've never hated them, but I'm not a fan of their open-world formula that requires an always active Internet connection.
Give me a new Splinter Cell already!
