For all those who tout Popeye's as being superior, where do you live? I'm really, seriously curious as to whether it's a regional thing or if you guys really don't know good chicken when you taste it. I tried Bojangles when I was visiting relatives in North Carolina and was way more impressed with it than Popeye's.
But even that was nothing compared to the KFC I had in New Zealand. Wicked Wings + Peri Peri sauce is GOD TIER!

just fyi, before hurricane Katrina there was a Super Popeyes in Metaire (city next to new Orleans), Louisiana. Now that its gone this thread makes me miss it. You can google the menu to see its ultimate saltiness

Super Popeyes stood vacant for like 3 years, then it was an empty lot.
I'm not sure off hand which lot it was now, but it either became a Chick Fil A or a Panda Express. Fucking tragedy.

You should go to Jim Dandy's chicken. It's off the 105, forgot the exit. It's in the hood. It's damn good.
Then there is Donahoo's chicken out in Pomona, Garey exit off the 10. Not the hood, but not the best neighborhood. Run by a Chinese family it seems.
I love those 2 spots. Popeyes is more convenient though, and of course kicks KFC's ass. And damn tasty as well.
