Uncharted 3 MP Beta Thread: Cinematic Murder Testing

Worse is when you get a team where your teammates camp at the enemy base hoping to kill enemies as they bring the treasure back while you're the only one with the idol heading towards your base getting killed by a team of 5 killing you together. Back up the idol carrier ffs.
No! We'll all stay in their base, or in random camping locations hoping to rake in more kills.
You're talking as if carrying the idol to your base was the actual point of this mode.

Oh yeah, I totally hate that too. Especially when I check the post-game leaderboard and see the guys that were hanging in the back don't even have that many kills or that great of a kill to death ratio. Sometimes I try to think 'Man, that guy's just trying to prevent a sudden change in control', but really I know he's back there just to glean some kills.

Other than those kind of things though, I'm enjoying Plunder.

All this with no leaderboards and KDR stats. Objective-based matches should get even worse if ND decides to include leaderboards and KDR stats in the full game MP.

There should be leaderboards for doing the objectives. Maybe that'll get those assholes who go in and ruin it to strive for something. Make a leaderboard for most captures/most protectorate medals for Plunder. Make a leaderboard for most captured zones for Team Objective..you know, shit like that. People will eat it up. Another thing that could help is reward the players who are constantly doing the objectives with more cash and make it known to everyone that plays the game that you'll get the most cash by helping the team out. You have to embed the message into everyone's head. Obviously objective playlists will always have those players who farm for kills, but it could severely be decreased if good action is taken. Add in character dialogue and maybe it'll be better with randoms. :)

The big towers have a back facing ladder, use that one, also, jump climb about half up the ladder then normal climb the rest of the way, noone's really noticed me yet doing it.

THEN ZIPLINE OUT OF THERE FOR GREAT JUSTICE!

TAKE OFF EVERY ZIG!

Randoms are terrible at Team Objective.

"HEY GUYS I'M THE VIP SO I'LL RUN TOWARDS A BUNCH OF ENEMIES SHOOTING AT ME"

It happened earlier today. I was playing some Team Deathmatch with RagnarokX, we were winning 2-0. We lost 3-2 for the other randoms putting up stupid crap like this.

I love Yemen - finally a good sniper map. :) Had some awesome sniper duels yesterday there.

And I think I found my MP "profession" for the release. :)

The good thing about Yemen is that you can snipe easily, but you can't camp for long (or someone will snap your back).

Surprised so many people are talking up sniping. First thing I learned about online shooters, and it's one of the few things I've learned, is that snipers are considered pussies. Not saying you guys can't snipe but I've already been tempted to grenade anyone on my own team who chooses to camp when they snipe.

There's a huge difference between climbing undetected to a sniper spot, taking down the sniper, giving a quick look with their rifle to possibly take out one or two exposed targets and then zipline away, and just camping in one spot for the whole match.

I didn't say I was camping. Or even sniping that much. But I will use it here or there. The good thing about the map is you really can't get away with camping because it is so easy to get around and kill people who do.

So awesome when you jump down a floor, and manage to land on top of an opponent and snap their neck. :D

Also, a funny glitch occurs when 2 players near an enemy press the melee button at the same time, which results in the same enemy being killed twice.

Which is why I said don't care unless you're camping, guys.

If you guys are just picking up a sniper rifle for a second then thats no big deal. I'm talking about the guys, and there's usually at least one on every random team, who's kills consist entirely of sniping. I'd also like to point out that if you're unlucky you'll have a couple dumbass teammates who will constantly be killed by running into open areas. By the time you get to said sniper he already has two or three kills to his name and the process will repeat itself with the next guy on the other team who has a sniper rifle. I've also been in plenty of matches where almost everyone tries to camp out and snipe so there's no one to back you up if you are trying to reach one of the snipers perched up in the towers.

Oh, sure. People camping the whole time irk me too, regardless of the actual weapon they're using.
In Yemen you can take them out easily, but it's true that they still rake in kills because of people being stupid.

Just got a medal on Airstrip for closing one of the doors on someone as they were running through. Awesome
Wait... I didn't even know you could close the doors. I always assumed they got locked automatically.

Rebel Leader said:
I disagree

it will not always be possible
Hmm, never happened to me to be honest.
Every time someone was camping, I was able to take them out from behind.
Any example where this is not possible?

haha, its not possible to camp the whole match (or more than a minute, actually) at one point in Yemen, unless the opposition players are completely dumb. Also there are at least 2-3 spots from which you can take a sniper out without climbing to his position. Its really an excellent map.

Why is no one playing co -op arena ? or is it just me ??

As for co-op adventure , the map is very good but too short .i don't get how people just don't clear the ennemies before putting the idols in the right place..if you don't you're just spamming more ennemies !!!
The big guy with the machine gun has a lot of heatth but isn't very intelligent so he isn't a treat . Either up his damage or make him faster ..if think that 'll make the fight more fun .

The gun with the sniper is awesome . DO NOT CHANGE ANYTHING it's perfect

And the map is too short why does it cuts a t the best moment ?

PS: the dialogs between elena and sully are godly ... ( during battle )

They don't want to give the entire mission away. :P

Ok, I'm pretty ok at this game and everything, so don't laugh at me (or maybe DO laugh at me): how does one use a sniper rifle without zooming in? I hate the huge cross when you zoom, and it moves too slowly for me. I'd much rather have that small little circle reticule.

There's areas to hit triangle by the doors to close them.

Weird, I never saw them for some reason (and I played countless matches in that map).

It would be so ridiculously awesome if there was a cape or cloak in the full game. Swooping down on your enemies from zipline.

YOU HEAR ME ND? I DEMAND A CLOAK.

Well, there is that other game coming out in November that has ziplines and a character with a cape.

Batman: Arkham City is out in October, actually ;p

had a few games when said sniper had a "guard" or 2

also someone was snipeing outside the map, would know how they got out if the game saved the cinema :( (it never showed the game there)

Do you mean on the towers? You can throw a grenade from below or one of the neighboring buildings, or face them one at a time if they're on the ground.

This. That infuriates me to no end....Yemen almost slows down to a crawl (compared to Chateau & Airstrip) because of people standing in one place and not moving around. I have respect for people able to be in a tower, get a few kills, have good teammates to hold off the other team, move quickly away as opposing players creep in, and go to another tower when they finally get there. Or able to snipe and walk at the same time.

It's not as bad as Chateau's camp spot (you know where I'm talking about), but Yemen is a camper's map IMO.

PRO-TIP for the co-op mission, when you are climbing up the last tower, make sure you pick up the machine gun from the big bad guy with the statue, switch to pistol and climb up the tower as fast as you can. Now just equip the machine gun, close your eyes, spin around and shoot to clear the area in about 2 seconds and get 25 kills.

I saw whole team camping on one of the towers once. :) They should limit movement there so we could take them out with grenades easily.

Stop complaining about camping in Yemen and step yo game up. I just went 34-10 in Yemen TDM and I think half of those kills were grenades chucked at campers. :lol

Nice, I'll give that a try.

on the left side of the doors , looking at them from the inside, you'll find a red or green bouton , get close and you'll see a TRIANGLE prompt on your screen .

As far as i'm concerned , there is only 2 doors you can close on air strip

Seriously. I just dominated a bunch of matches in Free for All specifically thanks to all the people camping being easy preys.

Found them, thanks! :D

I wish the announcer, besides suggesting me to use my kickback and throw a cluster grenade when there's no one around, made sure to tell people how to play the game.
You know, stuff like "in Plunder you're supposed to protect the dude carrying the idol", or "in King of the Hill you get one point for each dude inside the area", or "in goddamn Plunder team objective, camping around the idol is fucking pointless if no one picks it up".

OK, I've decided. I'm only going to play Team Objective on Yemen, I'm only going to play Plunder on Chateau, and I'm going to try and not play Airfield. That way, I can keep winning, haha :P

At first I thought this would be a good idea but I can see this getting annoying after awhile too. Maybe they should do that during the actual lobby?
