Although an immensely popular game known for its deep single-player, the latest version of Uncharted has also boasted an innovative multiplayer mode. I must state that the multiplayer of Uncharted is extremely fun and also very competitive, however there are a number of functions that it is missing. First off, there is not as much depth to the game as the traditional shooter -- there are limited equipment and weapons choices, despite the fact that the tactics used in the game are pretty advanced. The next issue is the lack of a central multiplayer community around the game that is necessary for growth. Lastly, as anyone who has played Uncharted can say, the shooting is a bit hit or miss; it does not feel 100 percent under a player's control and the system is not necessarily designed to be a competitive experience, which the multiplayer seems to focus on. Thus far there are still a number of missing features that Uncharted would need to be a successful eSport.

Jett my friend I wasn't complaining of getting killed by laggers or killing laggers myself, I was just stating the obvious, the network code both in U2 and U3b always favors those in America (continent, stop mistaking America with the USA), well if we can't complain here about the unfairness of U2-U3b matchmaking and host advantage then what do you suggest? that we should just shut up and deal with it? that's what I do when I play the game, but this is a discussion forum. I still prefer playing in GAF parties even when I know there's a 100% probability of landing in a terrible (for us) USA-hosted match. Friends >> lag, KD/R and whatever, still it's unfair and a lazy move on ND part and I wish you all could experience this at least a couple of times to understand it.
If you still think this is a bitchmove then I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree, I still love you anyway.

Whatever Naughty Dog is doing is ass backwards and is probably also the reason behind the long waits to find a game as their MM server tries to match with the best US client.. Jett you really do awesome in U2-U3b considering the host disadvantage, but for the average player who's not as skillful it's a real pain in the ass.
my last comment on lag: as I always say my router log never lies, in both Uncharted 2 and U3b I've been in games with 9 European guys and 1 USA dude who was hosting just for the sake of being in the USA, even when European Internet is vastly superior to the average USA connection. Seems to me that the network code is heavily relying on exchanging data with the main mmaking server and the stats server so ND devs favor ping (there's a 'little' ocean between America and Europe so ping will always be better in the former) over jitter, upload bandwidth and consistency or other network qualities and features. Basically it works like this: look for some US player / party of players in mmaking -> hand them host -> fill the room with players for whatever region(s) -> start the game.

ND may look at those co-op modes as training for new players.
