It's not random, maps are just unfinished.

came across a guy today today, shampoo-something. Dude had a clusternade ready to go every 20 seconds. In a 4 minute period, he let off 5 clusternades. Total bullshit.
This happened to me except the guy had the RPG and had 8 shots with it. Was basically how we lost that game. Close game, guy blasts a bunch of RPGs at the end. His team wins.
 
Well, I'm glad the pistol is back. It really doesn't feel overpowered to me. Takes at least 2-3 blindfire shots then melee. Perfect. Taking a while to get use to the aiming.

Yeah you are not the only one. I've heard of people losing cinema files suddenly. If you are looking for it instantly though then maybe wait awhile?

The maps are quite large. I think its enough to support an extra person, and that way with the buddy system, it works out as everyone gets a buddy.

Something I would atleast like to see them try in the last few days of the beta.
 
Either everyone else has started to suck a lot more, or I've just started to suck a lot less, because I somehow managed to get the most points in a team objective match.

Ah, ok. The one yesterday I played a few matches and then tried to find it, and couldn't. But today I went immediately looking for it and couldn't, so maybe it will show up in a bit. Thanks.
 
So I ranked to 26 last night, and I received a bear paw print. Sometime before that I received a dog paw print(Naughty Dog logo). Are these for displaying a team emblem or something? Sorry for my ignorance and thanks in advance.

Personal emblem. Go to customization page and customize yours.

Awesome, thanks for the answer. How do you know if you've completed a treasure set? And also, do you get something that lets you know you've played all the competive and coop modes 10 times each? I want to make sure I get all the extras when U3 comes out.

Maps aren't large at all to be honest. Playing Plunder almost makes Chateau seem tiny. :P

So I played the beta for a few hours. Here is my opinion so far.

- Chateau is a cool map.
- I like the G-mal.
- Airport is a cool concept.

- Airport (?) phase 1 is a cool concept, but somehow it doesn't really work really well (yet). Also the spawns are broken (or it might have been fixed in 1.03...).
- The transition to phase 2 is a bit weird.
- The AK has too much recoil in my opinion.
- The 'power play' that gives the opposite team 200% more damage is horrible. Either scrap it or lower it A LOT.
- I am getting some horrible random spawns sometimes in front of enemies.
- (As said before) I'd love more voices in general. It feels so.. 'emty'.
 
I'm loving split screen online. I just had some friends over we had a fucking blast playing Hunters co-op and completely destroying other teams. Some people are so bad at that mode.
 
Just been playing some Hardcore and a guy called Gily on the opposite team had modified weapons and kept using Speedy G :/

His team won about 50-30 and 25 of those kills were his
 
Playing some Plunder. The enemy is literally about to drop the idol into the box, and I jump on his back and melee kill him, and watch as the idol just falls down off the box.

It was so close, I'm talking like milliseconds here.

The guy was fucking RAGING over the mic, haha.
 
played a few matches this morning after d/l'ing the beta overnight. It's fun. My problem is more just with the way the UC controls translate over to a multiplayer shooter. They aren't as super fast/responsive as you want them to be. For me that leads to getting killed from behind a lot because it's a little harder to mind your surroundings, but I had the same issue with UC2 and got used to it. Just forces you to modify your play style, as this game seems to encourage people to stay mobile and run/jump/climb from place to place rather than stay stationary. Played only regular team deathmatch I may try some plunder and treasure hunter later tonight hopefully I can get into some matches.
 
GGs today guys. Was fun hearing those guys whine about blind firing in plunder. "OMG, you're a lvl 34 and you blind fire with your guns?" "You're an awful player!" Pure gold. XD
 
So what are the requirements for getting your emblem all over the map? And does everyone see yours if you see yours, including the other team? Mine sure is up there a lot, but I'm not always in the lead...

It changes if you are the top player in the game/ on your team.
 
So the beta updated to 1.02 but ive seen some of you with 1.03.
Whats up with that huh?

New update that fixed the connection for our fellow Europe players.

Their whining is justfified. Blindfiring needs to be a lot more weaker. If you're blindfiring and someone is aiming at you, you shouldn't stand an equal chance against the person who's aiming. It's funny to notice the different trends this beta has had so far. From the running + blindfiring of the micro to the blindfiring of the AK47 right now.

If you originally got the beta from the HK Store via another Gaffer's account, you might have to re-download it from your Store, the HK patch doesn't seem to pop-up.

I was only blind firing in close quarters, which is what you're supposed to do. It's been that way since the UC2 beta. When I was shooting them I either had the jump on them or got them from behind. I really hope they don't tone down the blind firing. They did that in UC2 and it messed up CQ fights. It's fine the way it is.
 
So, how many maps do you guys think the final game will have? That's real important to me usually, but I've already put almost as many hours into this beta as I did UC2's multiplayer. I was disappointed with UC2's 7 maps. I think 10 is a good number, 12 or more would be awesome.

Also, can anyone link me to the list of kickbacks? Not the Beta list, but the full retail list that was shown a while back?

No one hardly blindfired with long range weapons in UC2 and when someone did, that person didn't stand much of a chance in killing someone who as actually aiming at them. I only saw long range weapon blindfire from low level players when I played The Lab. Pistols on the other hand were a different story and that's the main weapon everyone blindfired with. This is all from my experience from someone who was level 69 in UC2. It's a lot more prevalent in this beta right now than it should be, IMO.

By the way, I linked my Facebook and I see my Facebook picture along with my name on the friends tab, but when I asked my friends if they could see it, they said no. So only you can see it? There's also nothing in the Facebook tab in the main menu for me after I linked up. It's blank.

I think it'll include 8 new maps and I'd be fine with it if they also included all the U2 maps.
 
Wow, the pistol is back, folks!!!!

Upclose to mid-range, it is a beast.

How is the micro now though? Haven't used it since the patch.
 
Can someone explain to me the Paid Boosters? Do I get the option to buy one before every match but then it only lasts for that one match?

It would be great if they included all of UC2's maps in the game. But of course that will be paid DLC down the line.

Yea, it's only good for that match. Choose wisely.

I'm pretty sure the Micro was nerfed. To me, post patch it seems like it takes almost the whole clip with it to drop a guy now, but factoring in headshots I'm not entirely certain. I don't see as many people using it now, and I have seen more pistol users so...

It has been nerfed. Blindfire and melee was almost certain to kill before. I've unloaded a whole clip (not blindfire) and melee without killing. I think you also move slower while blindfiring now too
 
Can someone explain the beta decal thing?

Do you have to play 10 of every single game type (ugh, FFA) in order to get it, or just 10 games of multiplayer?

10 of every competitive mode and 5 of every co-op game. It hasn't been confirmed how they'll be redeemable yet.

Oops, just played "a few" matches and it is 5AM now. The game feels almost perfectly balanced, maybe slightly less recoil for AK would do it. Pistol is back, glad about that.

Naughty Dog's "stealth" balance changes are a bit confusing though at the moment.
 
Has anyone tried to use the 'PING!' paid booster? It's supposed to be the short range radar, but every time I've selected it in the pre-game lobby, there's no 'radar' to be found. I'm not sure what is going on, whether I'm doing something wrong, there's some condition in game to be met, or if it's just bugged in general. I'd like to try it to see what it's like and how useful it is, but unfortunately the three times I've tried I haven't noticed any radar.

You'll see enemies names when they're close... thats your radar.
