Uncharted 3 MP Beta Thread: Cinematic Murder Testing

On Co-op adventure, I got that one really long gun, that the guy with the armor has, that fires a ton of bullets at once (sorry, I forgot the name) and when Sully was holding it, part of the gun went through his arm.

Another bug was, when I picked up the treasure Sully put it to the back of his back and had his arm glued with the treasure, to his back.

Sorry, I cannot be really more descriptive.
 
ND have done well to hide the horrible lag that exists.

Not enjoying it at all. Much like 2, UC3 will be SP only for me. Game just simply does not lend itself to MP well at all.
 
So, has anyone gotten that Ottoman Bracelet yet? I've been playing co-op adventure quite a bit and still haven't found it! Sometimes the cluster grenade sponger drops the ring, but I've never seen the bracelet drop.

That's what the daredevil booster is for. When the uzi was godly, daredevil+weapons expert was the perfect combo for it.
 
I gave it some time and played many rounds and I have come to the conclusion that Yemen sucks. It's nothing but a sniper campfest. I guess if you're into that then it's perfect.

Also what is the "Sunday Stroll" medal? I get it all the time just strolling around. Are they giving me a medal for not doing anything?

The guy with the machinegun drops them.

VERY rare though.

I've gotten it.....in Chateau. Unfortunately it doesn't record it if you find it outside of Syria.

I agree. I'm never voting Yemen, ever.

As for the "Sunday Stroll," you get it for running a certain distance throughout a match. The Endurance booster can be leveled up by getting those medals. There's also another medal you can obtain for going twice that distance.

I thought that might be the case! Do you know if one person picks up the treasure, everyone gets it? I feel like I've been the only one picking up the ring each time.

Sunday Stroll means you've ran over 1000 meters in the match.

Pointless.
 
Well, I'll make a quick post and be the first one to say that I don't like Yemen.

Campers everywhere, especially on the twin towers. Only real way to take people out of them is to bounce a grenade off the center pillar into the basket. You can't climb up since you'd make too much noise to not alert the baddies sitting inside.

Marathon Man is run 2000 meters, it's impossible in deathmatch.

The only time I got it was when we played a back-and-forth battle against a well organized team in Plunder. The game took all 20 minutes.

Yemen is just Wow! Seriously stunning map and a lot of fun.

The Syria co-op adventure map has a lot of bugs and/or lag. I've played a few games where people aren't able to move or grab the treasure once the statue things are lifted.

Can't wait for the full game. November is just too far off, but I want ND to take this time and sort out these bugs.

Oh and the MP loot meta game is just sooo good. I kinda hope there are more sets to collect in the final product.
 
I'm not liking the sound on the PKM. It has the minigun sound to it which makes no sense so I'm hoping it's just a placeholder for the beta. I want my PKM to sound big and booming.

The big towers have a back facing ladder, use that one, also, jump climb about half up the ladder then normal climb the rest of the way, noone's really noticed me yet doing it.

The idea to use a booster to get more ammo for my pistol seems so silly to me. I hardly ever run out of ammo for my long range gun (the exception being the sniper rifle). It's just the pistol. I can always count to get more ammo for long range guns from my fallen foes, but hardly do people ever leave pistol ammo. There should just be some pistol ammo scattered around the map. The biggest offender is co-op not having any Para 9 pistol ammo to pick up. Once you run out, you pretty much have to use the .45 pistol. It reminds me of having to put on Evasion to counter Situational Awareness in UC2. I shouldn't need to, you know?

Ever since 1.04, I've been having a horrid time with connection problems. Whenever that unplugged logo start to spam my screen, I begin to sob uncontrollably. (which is literally every game tonight for me) :'(

Anyone else getting this shit?

I was constantly getting it too. The thing is, my character wouldn't freeze in place like the other times, but it would be spamming my screen all the time. I reset my connection. I hope it fixes it because I played earlier today without any problems.

I remember reading here in this thread about enemies being extremely strong and dangerous in like the second round of co-op objective and I was always sad it didn't happen to me, but it did tonight! Holy fucking shit I LOVED it. Getting blown up from every direction, having like two armored shotgun guys blasting at you...chokers everywhere. It was seriously the best fucking time I've had so far in co-op arena. I want to be punished and attacked like this. It's like it turned on "crushing" for co-op and it fucking kicked all our asses in Siege. I wish every round was like that. :(

Glad someone else agrees. It's using the minigun sound so I'm just hoping it's a placeholder for now since that'd be pretty stupid to use that same sound for 2 different guns.

So how is the game guys? I was hoping to be a part of this beta like I was in the Uncharted 2 one, but I never got the chance to get another ps3.

I will be happy to read any impressions you guys have about the differences between this and Uncharted 2.
 
Woo. They brought back FFA.

I like the setup of Yemen (mostly), but I felt like I kept getting spawned in awful places. Literally a few feet away from someone else. Sometimes I would luck out and they wouldn't be facing me so I could get a kill in, but it's still pretty lame.

Snipers are easy to kill on Yemen. Throw your nade at them. Just aim for the wall above their loft. I rarely snipe and I find Yemen to be the best map in the beta.

By the way, what the hell is up with Elena's hair? I thought it was golden blonde...
 
You know what's frustrating? Getting a game of Plunder on Yemen, only to have your whole team equip sniper rifles because each and everyone of them think that they are some awesome sniper. They all set up positions hoping to get kills, and when they notice that there's not really anyone in their lines of sight they rush out and hope to get point blank kills. Lo and behold, most of them can't aim/snipe for shit, and almost all of them wind up with kill death ratios of 0.5 or worse.

I was seriously the only one on my team attempting to move the idol and I was the only one with a G-MAL equipped. Needless to say, the other team shut us out because they played the objective like they should have, and got a deserving victory. I know I shouldn't play with randoms, but right now it's all I've got unfortunately...

The Dragon Sniper isn't really that bad as far as power, but honestly I think that they should just make Sniper Rifles power weapon exclusives so whole teams don't equip them.
 
I got to the top of that one building in the Chateau level, and it's definitely a glitch. When you get to the top, most if not all of the level textures disappear and you can see everyone on the map. Also, I caught someone glitching and shooting through walls again. They somehow got behind that gate by the jeep and just shot at anyone nearby. They were invisible and invincible as well.

Its dark in Syria that's why her hair looks darker.

I dunno why but something about the character models looks a bit off in adventure mode, especially during cutscenes.

Yeah, that boss type dude is just way too easy. I literally 1-shot him with a t-bolt and army of three up.
 
Anyone have any tips on how to fix this bug: I am trying to watch a cinema file on the airstrip (the part where the plane is taking off) and it keeps bugging out on me. It zooms out then travels toward the plane then back to the same spot then over and over again. I really want to get it fixed because I have a great 5 not alive on that section and want to put it on plays of the week.
 
Damn, I just love Yemen! It has the perfect balance for everyone's play type, and no one is safe. I love climbing the ladders and pulling oblivious snipers down :D Airship and Yemen, the two most favorable maps like Village and Plaza from U2, Im calling it now!
 
Won a bunch of FFA deathmatches in Yemen. Feels good, man :D

I still haven't had time to check out the weapon spawn points in this map, though.
Are shotty and pistole in?
 
Tested Yemen in 3 Team Deathmatch and I wasn't a fan of it. It's too big and people just camped in those two huge towers where the ziplines are at. Outside of Plunder and 3 Team, I love the map.

Don't know if this has happened to you guys, but every once in a while I'd spawn where my buddy was at, but I would glitch outside the map and fall to my death. It's a very common problem that happened today to me and my friend when we played matches in the Yemen map.

Worse is when you get a team where your teammates camp at the enemy base hoping to kill enemies as they bring the treasure back while you're the only one with the idol heading towards your base getting killed by a team of 5 killing you together. Back up the idol carrier ffs.
