Page was active but has now been taken down but if you look under Vita top pre-orders you will still see Valkyrie Drive as #4.

Someone tweeted about it earlier today and had PQube like the tweet.

I'm not sure if the tweet should be linked since it has many anime girls in bikinis.

The translated achievements were leaked a while back. I'm assuming that it's coming West and this leak reinforces that, just when is the big question.

TBH since the SK series does well for all publishers involved I'm surprised it wasn't announced earlier... but maybe they were making sure SKEV didn't get in the way and cause buyer fatigue or something.

Nice to see this getting localized.

With the relative success SK has been and with other games like Onechanbara getting localized, these types of games must be doing well in terms of sales expectations.

I believe the game always had English trophies, Or I remember them being English when I played my JP copy.
I remember one weird instance where I imported BBCP JP, but when the localization was finishing up my Japanese trophies converted to the English ones by themselves.

I believe PSN trophies sync based on the region of your console. Trophy certification probably happens earlier than any other form of certification submitted by third parties given that it's likely the easiest thing. I assume you played your copy on your American or European Vita?

It would lend credence that XSEED / Marvelous has been localizing / already localized the game and are just waiting for the right time to release.

Figured it was coming because of the English trophies, and the SK games being popular. I'll buy it whenever they get around to releasing it here.

That'd be really good news if true, heard really good things about it in the SK community thread.
Like with Uppers, can't really care anymore about the Vita sadly, so I hope they can somehow make a PS4 port...

Looking forward to Marvelous next games anyway, they keep improving their formula!

I'm not too familiar with the game's content, but I know that there's no way in hell the show would come to consoles unedited. How much of the game is in the show and vice versa?

The game is completely different characters in a different setting.

Ehh.

Though the one positive from this is that Marvelous Europe have possibly worked on this on their own, which is pretty cool.

Really excited for the news. I imported the japanese version and I'm absolutely delighted with the game. It pretty much takes everything that worked on both SK2 and EV and refines it. So I'm glad at the possibility of everyone else being able to play the game.

What are the odds that if this is real, it will be an europe exclusive?

This is all what the show had from the game. A one minute cameo of the game's protagonists in the final episode.

Although the game eventually got the anime protagonists added as DLC.

As for the content, Bhikkhuni is a pretty tame game all things considered, Estival Versus has more risky content and that one came over without any issues. If there's something that might be controversial is the fact the girls are openly lesbians.

Absolutely zero chance. The Vita audience in the EU is even smaller than it is in the US, no way would they bother with this type of localization if only one of the regions were getting it. May as well be throwing money away if that were the case.

Nil. Absolute worst case scenario, pQube or Xseed releases it as a digital exclusive. Likely scenario is that Xseed was working on it after all and Marv Europe/pQube is just doing EU duty, alternative scenario is that pQube and Marv EU paid for the localisation and Xseed or pQube prints discs.

I'm going with the latter. I don't see why XSEED wouldn't announce it at E3 otherwise, lots of people were hoping for it. I guess Marv will announce it and then XSEED will reveal that they also publish it in NA.

That's all just a theory, but it makes sense to me

Ooo I'm down. I wonder if XSEED worked on this or if PQube is fully publishing it everywhere. They are publishing Gal Gun :p

Awesome news! I know a lot of people have been waiting for this. I love that all these fanservice games keep coming to the West, and Valkyrie Drive in particular at least had a VERY lewd anime. It had some nice scenes in it. I'm not sure if I'll grab this personally though, as after playing Senran Kagura Shinovi Versus I suspect the gameplay will be a bit too shallow for my tastes. I might give it a try though. We'll see.

Although I'm still waiting for Bullet Girls 2 to get brought over. Its the fanservice game that I REALLY want.

I doubt we will get BG2, since the first one never got localized. I imported the first one when it was cheap on sale, there's a full translation guide for everything except the story dialogue on the PlayStation Trophies forum which I used to get the platinum trophy. I think the same guy already did a guide for the sequel, I'll probably buy it later this year when it's cheaper.

That's great, need this game since Estival Versus combat sucked. Really interested in the VD Smash Brothers mode, was it any good?
It was a lot of fun. Sure it had some details here and there with the physics but that was to be expected since Meteorise pretty much rigged the game's engine to pull it off.

Shame that the online is dead nowadays.

Everything was PS4.

Still, I'll probably buy on Vita after having watched some gameplay vids. Cool.

Might have been a mistake, article was changed to say Vita EXCLUSIVELY (their emphasis)
Oh yeah, it has indeed changed, the tweet you posted in the other thread also says only Vita. Tbh, PQube seem cool with Vita exclusives anyway so I could believe it.

Awesome news. I wonder if this means PQube will go after Uppers too.

Good to know XSEED doesn't have exclusivity on Marvelous releases. That means there's still an outside chance for Net High and even Luminous Arc Infinity.

I'm not sure if I could expect anything from XSEED after this. They're slowly becoming the worst publisher around. They have skipped Tokyo Xanadu and Valkyrie Drive for... Akiba's Beat? An Acquire RPG?

Short of some disaster AB is going to sell a lot more than TX (Vita) and VD (Vita) would simply because AB is for ps4 as well and it's not like Acquire is adverse to porting their games to PC.

That part worries me the most. Now XSEED only localize games that sell? It's not like them to do this, I mean they just released a game for freaking PSP 6 months ago.
