And nothing of value was lost.
Though credit were credit is due, they did at least give us this gem:
We've always been an extremely weird website—our podcast sign off is "fuck captilaism, go home," after all
I stood up and clapped every time then tipped my waitressSo brave and beautiful.
I had never read anything from Waypoint, so I read your link. I didn’t even make it halfway through it. What garbage. We're going to miss some quality content such as this:
Hogwarts Legacy Imagines a Harry Potter Without JK Rowling
Even if Rowling didn't work on this game, everything eyebrow-raising in the series came from one source.www.vice.com
Trust you're not the first...Holy shit, I read this as "WayForward" initially and felt bummed for a split second until I re-read the title.
Now they have an even more personal reason to say this. The system has spoken.Lol imagine living in a society that has produced so much excess wealth to the point where you can actually make a job out of talking about video games. Then you end your shows with “fuck capitalism”.
Thank Skynet Jebus the Ai chatbots will take over the writting soon.
And there it is, the game journalist's final form...
Lol imagine living in a society that has produced so much excess wealth to the point where you can actually make a job out of talking about video games. Then you end your shows with “fuck capitalism”.
Lol yes, they literally had a job where they got to sit in an air conditioned room and talk about entertainment products. That has to be the cushiest and least essential job in the history of mankind, and they act like they are living in the most unfair and oppressive society on earthYup, Klepek & co must have such a flabby and entitled mind-set to think they deserve to be paid in perpetuity for talking about games with a "progressive" bent!
As if that's sooooo intrinsically valuable that it supersedes all market forces in that Capitalist system they are endlessly decrying!
Talk about slacktivism...
I find the man a hypocrite and a repulsive human being. I still sympathize with anyone who stays up at night wondering how they're going to feed and shelter their family in a few weeks. I hope he finds new work, preferably outside of the video game industry forever.
They are still human and need to eat. There are hundreds of things worse than being a game journalist.Game journalists are one of the few groups of people I am completely incapable of feeling bad for.
Unemployment is at an all time low. If they want to work they can this isn't the 1930s.Not to throw salt in their wound. I didn’t read their stuff. It felt too much like an agenda driven site than a video game news site. It’s a finger pointing contest with people who have worked in the gaming journalist industry for X+ amount of years. Hopefully their families will survive this.
