Hey, Anihawk. Would it be too much trouble if would link to the "starting thread page" for each new game?

And keep up the great work, folks. I'm loving the P4 style.
 
based on my desgin i posted last site i just made a nother one.

This one is more focused on scool so i tried do make something that reminds peoble about the scool uniforms. Its also more like a "teaser".

While the violent ones are awesome, the game itself doesn't really allude too much to violence, even though it suggests it. I don't get a huge horror vibe from this game, even though it makes perfect sense.

This is my favorite. Both look very professional. I wonder if the marketing guy from Atlus reads this site?
 
1. Cool for the Capcom blog guy to apologize and correct the unintended slight (although I saw it as a compliment).

2. Ok, now that we have an updated thread title and hopefully a continually updated OP (that's you ani!), this is my favorite thread on the whole site.

3. 1cesc, god damn.

4. ...but I really, really hate the P4 logo.

5. I strongly believe this thread should focus on games that are either recently-released or to-be-released in the near future. I'd say a 6-month window on either side of the game's release date would be appropriate.

6. The strength of this thread --surprisingly-- is the seriousness which usually escapes other creative threads. This could so easily have become a joke thread but I must say I appreciate the overall professionalism that I'm seeing here. Bravo!

I disagree. I think it would be cool to do some classic games. Especially since the MM9 ones were hilarious

I think it should stick to downloadable games since they never did or would have a magazine ad. Braid or Noby Noby Boy would both be great.

I cannot emphasize that enough. Knock it off with shit like that Mega Man penis ad. I love seeing the design work people are doing. I had something in mind for MM9 but it didn't work out. Sadly I know nothing about Persona 4. All I can think of is something using the black and yellow colour theme which seems to be pretty distinct to P4 as far as video games go.

Too bad I left the receiver for my wireless mouse at school. Using a touchpad sucks :(

@peoble who now "nothing" about the game. Just check out trailers, and both oficial sites (japanese, and us) you should get a good idea of the game i think. Te funny think while "creating" my ads i really felt like i have to go back to persona 3 and play it more ,, ;P

Look for the small bit of collarbone sticking out, it makes her boobs not seem as big. Although Rise looks pretty robbed in that picture.

I'm starting to agree with this point, since there have been so few entries compared to MM9. The point was to kinda list any game/system/whatever and for people to give it their best shot even if they haven't played it. A few brave souls gave Persona 4 a shot without playing it, but it's still a major step back.

Still, stuff from the late 80s and 90s where there was pretty much only one type of advertisement (see DigitalA1chemy's MM9 ad) would be fun to do. I don't think Super Mario Bros. ads were kept, if there were any to begin with. Trying to sell it like it's the first time it's ever been released would be a good challenge.

Anyway, less than a day left for Persona 4. I know I said I'd hold off on it, but the next game will be Mirror's Edge (since people really wanted to do it). You can start posting them at 12:00 AM EST this Sunday. If you haven't played the game, download the demo if you have a 360 or just watch a youtube video of one of the levels like this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yW-vRE4adQQ to help get a feel for the game.

Or if there's a consensus for another game, we can do that one next, instead.
 
This was all I could think of for this one, so I'll be joining the TV parade. All the other ads made me want to get the game more than I already did... So it's good advertising.

Anyway, here. I'll do better next time!

Very good first try. Also, it's different from other TV P4 ads in that there's a sort of ironic twist.

I was waiting for someone to do something like 1cesc did. That one's awesome, probably my favorite right behind Spoo's.

I stupidly assumed that this thread would just be full of stupid shit with internet memes all over them, but man, some of the stuff you guys pumped out are amazing. Great job guys.
 
I think one reason that there have been so many more Mega Man 9 entries than P4 entries is because Mega Man 9 prevents such as obvious 'hook' that even people who only know about the game in passing can tell you why it stands out so much. Not so much for P4.

Yeah, I'd suggested this earlier, except I think we should instead do games with a one-month window into the future or past. If the topic is going to change weekly we can do quite a bit with that. And maybe one week of each month is a previously-released one or a retro game.

I definitely think that doing an upcoming or recently released game would tap into more excitement for the game and generate more entries.
