Also, cutting down on Pornhub consumption could be a good idea. Just saying.

There a wild range of personalities that may turn some people on/off. There's the shy type, the party/loud type, the clingy, the distant. So many to choose from. For example, I noticed that people that are into anime/asians are looking for something more traditional and shy, while the ones that aren't are quite OK with very direct and outspoken types. Of course it is not real science, it's just something I've noticed.

I never said that men, me included, aren't into all kinds of physical traits in women. I just thought for a moment that the thread was going into a weird direction, like... everyone showing off what pornstar the fap to.
There was a comment about how the new NeoGAF is becoming a sausage fest. Threads like these will not help the situation. There are actually quite a number of ways to post the exact same comments but in a tasteful manner.
Just try to imagine that there's a girl in the room and you'll get the idea.

I didn't say anything about masturbation, though. It is known, by everyone, consciously or subconsciously, that porn is not good for you. Porn shows the perfect, most ideal scenarios in men's head. Everybody is fit and have larger than average packages. It increases your standards in women to an unattainable level. And also you'll feel like your package is never enough to feel really confident about yourself, you just end up hoping that not every girl is a size queen.

And all that, because humans are sexually active and sexual objects often help them satisfy their needs. And there is nothing wrong about it.

Men are very visually oriented, when I masturbate I almost always have to have something to look at.

Though I don't watch a whole lot of porn, most of what I masturbate to are just photos of nude or nearly nude women, I'm fairly vanilla that way.

Porn itself is not the problem though, it depends on the porn and the tone of it, a lot of it is pretty sleazy and nasty, but the stuff that's more tasteful (if still graphic), more real, not professional pornstars but just everyday people, whose pleasure is totally real, that's what I like and I don't think it's all that harmful.

This is also my anecdotal experience, hearing my female friends call really quite good looking guys on tinder 'average' and average looking guys far worse in front of me is pretty eye opening. But on the other hand, they care less about looks than men do in the end.

I'm sure some will groan at this reply, but I am more deeply attracted to a person as I get to know them and find a fondness for them. I'm not saying I don't appreciate beautiful women - I surely do, but an interesting thing has always happened to me when I find an attraction to the person outside the physical level - I find they begin to look more beautiful to me visually as well. Their appearance undergoes some sort of metamorphosis on a subjective level, and however they appeared to me at first, they are now better looking because of my appreciation for their other qualities. I guess my mind starts playing tricks on me.

The reverse is also true for me. A person starts to look unappealing to me if I find them off-putting in other ways as I become more familiar with them.

I guess that's not really what this thread is about, but I thought I'd chime in anyway.
